I think it was 2002 when it changed hands and become LCF. Most people had their start date changed to June 2002 at that time. It was through special request that original start dates were allowed.

Calories in/ calories out is a nice theory but it has been debunked. You may enjoy the book 'Why We Get Fat' by Gary Taubes. It is fairly short and points out why ci/co is so flawed.
