Carbalose does not have the added leveners and fat.

There is an after taste to both that I don't care for. I have some from over a year ago because I rarely use it due to the after taste. The only thing that I make edible with them is a bread recipe that I add some Einkorn flour to mask the taste. I have another bread that I make that doesn't use Carbquik that I now prefer so this stuff may never get used up. Some people are able to use it just fine and don't detect the after taste.

You might want to search the recipe section to see how people use them.
