Welcome 2017; Farewell 2016 :)

Happy New Year to all of our JB community.

2016 has been an odd year for many of us - if it were an inanimate, tangible object, I would be sorely tempted to give it a good kicking.

However, it is what it is. And 2016 had many highlights.

For those of us with a tendency towards black and white thinking, accept that we have little choice but to accept each day as it is - to reflect on whether we can learn anything that would change our response on another such occasion - and then move on. You can put your energy into self-reproach and blame or have a plan for next time and just get right back on track.

We've no idea what's going on in other people's lives or why they might be losing faster/slower or more/less effectively. The only thing we can know is that comparison is the thief of joy and will rarely make us change our behaviour for the better.

Remember why you wanted to start this journey. Always remember the JB fellowship that can keep you on the journey if you feel yourself faltering.

For 2017, maybe we don't make resolutions but think about setting some goals. Maybe post them up here?

Happy New Year to you, dear Slow Sure and to all the JUDDD Buds.

For 2017 I want to continue to be the best person I can be and keep my side of the street clean, despite the way others may choose to behave toward me or around me. I want to stay committed to the things in my life that are important to me and important to my physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Happy New Year!!

I plan to continue trying to be as healthy as possible by limiting the consumption of processed foods and eating lots of veggies. in fact I may start another garden this year. No point in reiterating weight loss goals since that is what we are all here for but it is of course a focus for me.

Other goals are to climb a few local peaks this summer and step it up with my fitness. I keep saying I'm going to give yoga a REAL try (I keep starting and stopping)- I definitely need to work on my flexibility.

I want to be a better employee (push my boundaries outside my comfort zone) and a better sister.

and here's an easy one- I resolve to spoil my dog rotten. . He's really added more to my life in the last year than I thought he would. I should never have waited so long to get another dog.

Happy New Year All y'Alls!

I have a New Year's wish: I wish that when we see the scale bounce up and down whilst doing JUDDD (or because of TOM or whatever other reason), we wouldn't call it "gaining". Or even think of it as "gaining". I wish that we would call it and think of it as "the scale went up" or "the scale showed a bounce" or whatever.

This is my wish.

One of my goals this year is to keep coming here for inspiration so I don't end up carrying around this extra weight all the time! Thanks to all of you who post and share! I am looking forward to catching up with those I know and getting to know the new people.
I wish all of you a happy, healthy and successful new year!

Lovely things here!

This year will involve more removing weight from my body - planning on getting to 135lbs and starting to exercise! Not really resolutions, just things I will do.

If I was to make the goals SMART
I will get to 135lbs by my birthday on the 6th of August (pushing for a big number), to do this I will continue to use the 8WBSD & JUDDD & Fung Style Fasting & generally eating lower carb (some moderation!)

As for the exercise - that one is less simple - but I will use my new sports bras!!

Happy & Healthy New Year!

Restart Day is tomorrow 1/7 after a 20 lb. weight regain. Yikes!

Best wishes to you all on achieving your goals this year.

I was thinking about you the other day and here you are! I'm so pleased to see you - obviously, I'm sorry to hear about the scale regain yet delighted that you know how to deal with it.

This. All of it, but especially the bolded words. The support--the surity that I'm not alone, the sharing of knowledge, the ingenious recipes--it is simply essential. And priceless.
