November Daily or Alternate Day Weigh-In

We've lived through the eleven months of 2016 and are heading into the late 2016 festivities. JUDDD allows us to treat such occasions as part of the rhythm of our lives, and opportunities to apply what we know and choose to look forward to celebrations and seasonal events.

You know the drill, JBs - this is where we announce our goals for the month and we report the results of our daily or alternate day weigh-ins. Dr Johnson recommends weekly weigh-ins for preference, but for those of us who prefer more regular feedback than that he advises that we or others who are demoralised by bouncing should practise alternate day weigh-ins, after a DD.

Please, always remember, the scale is the least informative way of tracking the changes in our bodies when we follow a fasting lifestyle: we do it because it's a readily accessible proxy for those changes. How you feel, changes in the fit of your clothes, changes in photographs you monitor, improvements in blood pressure etc. are much better indicators. And, seriously, if weigh-in numbers are likely to influence your mood, think very seriously about using something else to assess your progress. The number on the scale is context-free and is influenced by so many factors that can mask progress: use a piece of clothing; measure in several places; use regular photographs from several angles (same clothes, lighting conditions etc.); track your health.

My goal is to continue to maintain within my range of 100-108lbs, allowing for my usual excursions relating to pain management, muscle swelling, fluid shifts etc. Overall my goal is to maintain my body fat level somewhere between 20-25%.

Hi everyone - new to the forum but been doing JUDDD for nearly 4 years - would never do anything else! Think it would be good to log my weight here as seeing everyone's fluctuations and losses is inspiring. I've put a few pounds back on since moving in with my boyfriend �� Don't have loads to lose as lost the majority when I first started but want to get back down to about 119lb so have about 10lb to lose.

Not bad at all! I had a small rise up on day 2 also. I started dropping on day 3. Today I'm at 127.4 so I only have one more lb to lose from CN. Maybe we'll see a new low after this! We just have to trust the process

Susie- I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning with a tbspof heavy cream each so I do get about 100 calories from that. Rest of the day water and tea. So not zero calories but I'd rather call it no food dd's

Carb nite! So we have been doing LC (I think Leanne does JUDDD with it too, I basically do OMAD) and then planning a 6 hour window of eating carbs (and fun food) every 2 weeks or so to boost leptin levels and such. There's a book about it out there. Some people do one every week but I'm taking it slow to test it out as I don't want to overdo it.

Yeah, I don't eat on my DDs either, but I need to cut out one of my 3 cups of coffee with half and half and my Atkins shake so I can decrease my calories. I was doing 200 calories, but somehow got back to 500
