Sry to worry you. I never think anyone really cares if I'm around or not. Thank you for caring.

Ive had some excitement the last couple of days, but can't talk now. Will update later today or tomorrow.

OT is still going full blast, but a loving friend came by and actually cooked for me so I would have meals the rest of this week. (She would not take no for an answer).

Gotta go. We'll talk later.

Silly of course people care. Your friend is another good example.
That was really sweet of her, I hope it was LC meals that she made.

People care, but we all know the feeling of no one caring. Having cancer is kind of like attending your own funeral.

People have shown that they care about me in real and tangible ways. It's humbling. But yeah, I have gone thru a lot of lonely times over the years, where I felt like my only real friend was Jesus.

Anyway, that's good to hear that a friend stepped up and is making meals for the tweety.

Hi guys. Sry for the disappearing act. I've been sooooo tired and have been getting up at the last second for work, so I haven't been able to stop by.

I had a scary thing happen last week. I almost burned my apartment down with a space heater. The thing is, when you buy one of those things they don't tell you that it draws 20 amps and that you need to check to see if your circuit breaker only allows for a 15 amp draw. That's what happened to me and the heater burned out some wires in the plug. I happened to notice that the wall plate was really hot and turned off the circuit breaker before a fire broke out. WHEW! The wires are replaced now and the space heater is gone.

Will start back to eating right Monday. I have a congregation pitch-in tomorrow and will be eating whatever people brought.

Thanks for missing me.

I hope you are doing as well as can be expected Go B.

CG, I hope you are feeling better.

Omgoodness that's terrifying! I am so glad you noticed and are ok.

I am doing ok, flu or whatever it was is gone. Just tired and sore. Still on plan, slowly progressing into phase 2 of Atkins. Haven't lost any more weight so hoping that might help.
Really glad your ok though.

Foods been ok so not sure about the slight gain.

Hey Go and CG. Another fun filled day at the whacky factory, although I did receive good news from the whacky's in the factory . . . they like my work. YAY! It's nice to hear on occasion, ya know?

How are you doing Go?

Do you have a goal, CG, for stopping the smokes?

Hi Tweety and CG
Nice going on impressing the whacky folksTweety We are proud of you!! Keep it up!!

CG, quitting can be hard, I know. But you can do it if you want to. we believe in you!!!.

I'm doing pretty good friends, thanks for asking.

Not much to report. I'm in this group thread of 5 other guys from my church where we get together and discuss marriage every few months. The thread is used to coordinate our meetings.

One of the guys likes to put up inspirational quotes or links. I often will comment on those. You know, acknowledge the guys input. The other men including the two leaders, don't say much.

Well we just had a meeting that went really well. Three of the guys are on life support with their marriages. I know what that's like, so I texted and suggested that next meeting could be at my house and I also tried to encourage the guys to hang in there and don't jump ship.

Well, out of 5 guys, not one responded to my invite. Not wanting to confront them directly about this sad affair, I tried texting to them in parables. That's what Jesus did a lot of, because His listeners were dull of hearing.

Well no one caught on to the parables either. So yesterday (it's been a few days) the one inspirational guy (Bill)texts a "good morning...." and gives us a quote. So I texted back and asked him if he prefers a good morning back to him or nothing?

One guy pipes up and mocks me a little. Bill texts that he has no expectations. Which I simply do not believe. So I began to instruct them all about common courtesy and how saying good morning in response is not too hard. It's like when someone waves to you, you wave back or you can be cold hearted too. Depends on who you are. Friendly or not friendly.

So I did manage to get the bees to come out of the hive. One of the leaders said he follows chat room protocols in the thread. I texted back that our thread isn't a chat room and that if we aren't careful one of our members could go missing in action.

Anyway, it felt good to confront them, even tho I never reminded them that no one said a word about my invite. I'm certainly not going to say another word either. I'm telling you, men can be so aloof. No wonder their wives don't like them. Dull of hearing. They act like they don't care.

Just say good morning sometimes. Is that too hard?

Haha, just "morning" huh? Too hard to grunt out "good"?

Well the main leader guy decided to have fun yesterday, so he was the first to text a good morning. He NEVER initiates a text unless at some point it is for the purpose of a meeting time. And the second leader followed quickly with "GM".

I gave them a chuckle and congratulated them both. After a bit, Bill texted a good morning and the other two guys never checked in all day.

I don't know what to make of these guys. I realize a group thread shouldn't be taken too seriously. My life is so boring that I place too much importance on my cell phone chirping at me to let me know someone talked to me.

We all know the drill. It's either a fun text from someone you like or it might just be informational and not fun. But I used to like it when I could get the guys to interact in a meaningful way on the group thread. Lately it's just become too weird for me.

None of them could acknowledge an invite??? That's too weird for me. I just want to steer clear of the whole thing for now. I hate being involved in stuff that becomes a temptation to bitterness and resentment. ya know what I mean?

I texted Bill in a private text asking him if he saw the invite, because it has happened before that a client of mine will say they never got my text. But Bill said he saw the invite and was looking forward to it.

Typical guy huh? They don't think they need to communicate. Again, no wonder so many women don't like our kind. I feel like a girl myself right now....all upset that I'm being ignored by the boys.

lol I would prepare for them all to show up, cause you didn't say rsvp by a date.
I would be so frustrated.

Thnx CG. Oh yeah, definitely....I'm supposed to be a mind reader. Lol. Maybe it's about pride?

Male pride? "I will text if I want to. Nobody can make me text. GB tried to control me the other day by telling me it's not too hard to say good morning. Well I refuse to be controlled by him or anyone else."

That could be part of the dynamic Anyway, thanks for sympathizing.
Hope you hit your goals today!

Where's Tweety?

Hi GB

Hi CG

WOW! What have I missed?! I have to agree. Not responding to the invite is rude, but guys don't really like to work on their problems, do they? I mean, isn't there something in the guy handbook that says that guys like to fix other people's problems, but don't acknowledge their own?

Seriously, I don't think I have met a guy that wants to work on their own problems, especially marital ones. But what do I know? There's a very good reason why I'm 52 and still single. I don't want the hassle.

It can be a hassle, but can also be fun.

How many days till spring? Seems like forever here, weather is terrible.

somewhere around 46 days till spring. but for me march 12 when the clocks change, that feels like spring to me and thats about a week early.

its true that men like to solve problems. women like to talk about them.

i wouldn't know what the percentage of men it is who don't like to work on their own problems.
