khay - we all have those. Just say it was a fun day or two and move on. Think about the long term and it wont mean anything. You have done so great so far I know you wont stop.

Kelly - that's a hard time for me too. I get cravings for a glass of wine at 4pm when my stress level is the highest. After dinner I get cravings for sweet. I usually will just have a cup of decaf and that works. or you can have:

Fat bombs (you used to make these)
peanut butter or nut butter
LC chocolate
celery w/peanut butter
mug muffin
cucumbers w/ranch
cheese sticks
meat sticks
bone broth

The fat bomb, chocolate and decaf work the best for me. And congrats on getting back down. I know maintenance has too be very hard.

Ameenah - Thank you! Have fun at Disney

hi, Kelly!. I agree that you need to pay attention to true hunger. Snacking is really just a habit. A part of IF is eliminating snacking and that made a world of difference for me. I had always thought I "needed" to eat every 3-4 hours. It probably wasn't "hunger" after you had a good steak dinner. Eating more protein and fat for dinner and making the kitchen "off limits" after dinner helped me - it just eliminates that option and breaks that snacking cycle. As an experiment, If all you did was eliminate snacking, I think you'd break that cycle pretty quickly. My weight is always lowest the morning after a no-snacking night.

Ameenah - your trip sounds awesome, and having that goal in mind will really help you navigate the holidays!

Hey Ladies,
New to the site.
I see that some people put HWC in their breakfast.
I know it is probably something simple but can't figure it out?
Thanks for the help.

Michele, I never could find a CPAP mask that didnt blow air into my eyes, so I switched to nasal pillows. I like that better! After losing some weight, I am almost off CPAP. Hope you soon get used to it!

B - eggs, bacon, 4 oz. coffee with HWC couse I didn't get to finish it
L - 2 cheese sticks, Starbucks sf latte made with breve
S- pork chop, mushrooms

Taking myself out to lunch tomorrow. Mellow Mushroom restaurant here will make steak pizza in portobella mushrooms with minimal sauce! I just have to resist the sweet tea that calls my name...

Nichole - are you trying to upload the pic from your phone? If so, I've never had luck with that either. Try using a PC and see if that helps. I think the issue is the size of the file.

Good morning all,

Feeling pretty positive even though the scale seems to want to inch up. I have been eating healthy foods and enjoying the quiet around the house with the kids in school. Need to run to the store today, but on a very tight budget with these medical bills and the mini vacation to Texas. Seriously, I have $30 for 3 weeks. I have a full pantry, and I mean full, so I know I can do this. We will see what I come up with as far as Whole30/Atkin's induction food. LOL, this will be interesting.....I might need to stick to more Atkin's induction (for the cream cheese and and cheeses for soups and dips) to make it, but I will try.

Goal = 167

Menu:
B - coffee, hwc, stevia, 2 organic eggs, onion, pepper, tomato

Hi Everyone,

Well I got to wake up on the last day of the month to a nice whoosh! I managed to get through the evening yesterday without terrible cravings. I did notice that I really don't need to snack, it's really my mind playing tricks on me! I think that did contribute to my loss this morning, as I didn't eat after 6:45pm! Good morning everyone. Last day of August! Hard to believe that September is just about here.

Kt_mom, don't be bummed!! Look at your start weight for the month and see the nice loss! You made good progress. Don't let the scale ruin your day.

Yay Kelly!! Great job hitting your goal for August! I plan to do the same for September!

Pam, it can actually feel really good to use up what you already have. I'm glad you're feeling positive.

Ameenah, how fun to have that trip to look forward to! Sounds wonderful. I've never been to Disney World but love Disneyland.

Yesterday was a nice day with my mom. The drive was really pretty and we had a really good steak dinner w/my SO. He picked a bunch of strawberries for us to take home. They are so yum!! I did a cardio/strength dvd workout in the morning. It was a little easier working out in the fasted state. I think my body is just going to have to adjust, so I am going to be patient.

Feeling very determined to have a great September and to start seeing new lows. I've been doing IF for the whole month of August, and I'm proud of myself for sticking to something. I am usually hopping all over the place trying new stuff.

I ended the month lower than I started, so I am calling that a victory and celebrating it.

I am back to work on Monday subbing, so I need to get some jobs lined up. Today I'll be staying around home, doing some reading, a cardio workout, and probably a little grocery shopping. We're having my son and DIL over for dinner Saturday night.

Have a great Thursday ladies!

Good morning beauties

Happy last day of the month. We made it through another month and so looking forward to September. I am committed to posting daily and to staying on plan. I didn't make my goal but am pleased with myself for returning to this wonderful WOE before I was too out of control. I lost almost 5lbs in a little over 2 weeks which is pretty awesome.

WOE: AIP,Atkins 72',Primal, Paleo
Start Date: Working on it everyday:)
nihold - Both are close diets, as well as Primal or even ZC. Just a few things different.

Whole30
No dairy. I will have Coconut milk or coconut cream in my coffee instead.
No sugar substitute (like stevia or swerve etc. this will be the hardest and I probably will still use 2-3 stevias a day, to be honest)
Allows fruit and sweet potatoes (I will stay away from these)
Nothing processed - no Atkin's shakes, basically simple Whole foods (I don't do shakes and bars anyway.)

Whole30 allows tons more veggie then Atkins. I am following more Atkins though just trying to cut down on too much dairy. I seem to use it a lot in soups and casseroles then go way over carbs for the day. Just trying to get on a routine and eat cleaner.
It's hard on a tight budget. I can't run out and buy ribs or steaks even though I would love too That would be so easy to follow induction if I could do that. I just can't afford it right now. So need to figure out what to eat within 20 carb range that fits my budget.

I just keep trying that's the best I can do

Pam, good luck with your menu planning! Eggs are cheap and you can do a ton of low carb stuff with them! Hang in there lady!

Ameenah, I hope you and your family have a blast at Disney! Nice losses lately!!

Sizesixchick, great job!! Keep up the good work!!

Khay, don't sweat the small stuff! We are in this for the long haul! You've made amazing progress and will continue to do so.

Alene, nice work this month. I'm glad IF is working. I love it and stick to it most of the time but will eat dinner sometimes on the weekends, or drink wine!

Nihold, hang in there and just stick with it. I have months like that too. The trend is still downward so you're doing something right!!

KT-mom, sending hugs! Your numbers look good this month!

Kelly, Casey, cstyles, and anyone else I missed - hello!! Let's all have a great September!

I've had a crazy busy week but keeping up with my exercise and doing well with food. Crazy bad TOM this week so hoping for some movement on the scale. Thankfully I haven't had the normal migraines or sweet cravings. My birth control pills limit my cycle to every three months but it can be a lot more severe as a result. Ugh!

I'm looking forward to a nice long weekend! Have a great night!
