How often do you adjust your numbers? I started off with the numbers the calculator gave me at my starting weight. I've put my current weight in, and it doesn't even make 100 calories' worth of difference. Lol I have decided to start reigning in my DDs a bit. I started off with a range based on the 20% and 35% numbers to ease into it, usually landing around the 30% number. Now, I'm shooting to cut it down by about 50 calories on DDs, and 100 on UDs, to account for my current weight and to hopefully move past this little bit of stasis I've got going on right now.

Nic: I started off with low DDs (20%) so I never really adjusted. I aim to keep it as low as possible although I tend to average 350-500. I personally think you just need to experiment and see what works for YOU because we are all a little bit different. JMHO of course.

Woohoo! I'm less than a pound away from last month's low. Maybe I'll see it come Saturday? I sure hope so!!


Thanks Phoenix. What I meant was, if my numbers are based on my starting weight, and obviously I've lost some since that weight, how often should I adjust? Every 10 lbs I lose? Although the difference in UD numbers for 10 lbs isn't even 100 calories. Maybe every 20? Surely your numbers aren't still based on your start weight if you've lost a lot, right?

I totally agree with experimenting, and am currently experimenting with trimming back just a little. Forever a study of one!

I've lost about 40 lbs and the difference is in my UD calories- they adjusted lower by about 150-200 cal. My DD cal are only 50 cal lower but I stayed the same -I target around 350 but am good with staying under 500.

I don't know if anyone else has any opinions on when to adjust but I think not every 10 lbs - maybe every 20?
