Mick - Glad you had a drop on the scale!! I am up & holding. Hopefully it is TOM related since it is due any day now.
Hope you enjoyed your snow day off, and tomorrow too. I won’t even tell you what temp we hit today.
After I typed a book about OMAD, I thought Mick is going to wish she hadn't asked At least Michelle was concise!
Nature & I do not get along. We live in an old neighborhood (my 71-year old FIL actually grew up 1.5 blocks away), so there are power lines, and a lot of tall, old trees housing lots of creatures

Michelle - How's your fast going?

Rocky88, Tam, FindingMe - How's it going? Please check in!

yesterday:
B - coffee w/cream & s/f Torani's
D - chicken breast sauteed in olive oil; salad w/lettuce, bacon, cheese, hb egg & Ranch dressing

Hi Everyone,
It's Day 3 for me and doing well (although I do have a bit of a headache - not from low carbing, though). I'm still playing around with my menu a bit but I think I found some things that I like. I forgot how much low carbing makes me not hungry (which is happening even though I'm doing about 50 cars a day rather than the very low 20) so I planned a menu that was actually too much food. I'm finding how much I really adore salads with full-fat dressings (all homemade - I hate the bottled stuff) and protein in them, like baked tofu, cheese, and hard-boiled egg so I'm sticking with salads a lot simply because I enjoy those the most. I just figured out how to make baked tofu so that the tofu texture is very firm, almost like chicken breast. It changes the whole texture of the salad.

Today's menu:
Breakfast: 2 egg omelet with sauted onion, green and red pepper served with sour cream and salsa; coffee with half-and-half
Snack: cheese stick and walnuts
Lunch: Salad with sugar free honey mustard dressing and baked tofu; Fiber one; Greek whole milk yogurt with Splenda, vanilla, and nut butter
Snack: Decaf coffee with half-and-half
Dinner: Taco salad; Greek whole milk yogurt with Splenda, vanilla, and cocoa powder

Lots of water today also and exercise was 35 minute walk. I would have done a 1 mile DVD walk in the evening if it hadn't been for this headache.

Tam

Did a last minute overnighter in Duluth then rushed home yesterday to go to a birthday party. Food has been right on point but we had drinks at the casino. Didn't know we were going so that fast ended at about 60 hours I think. Had a double burger patty from culvers on the way home. I'll stay off the scale for the next few days I'm all puffed up again can't even move my ring. Had tons of fun though. Now my schedule is clear till granddaughters bday on the 19th. I should be able to make good progress.

I have to go catch up on posts. See what all is going on in here do we have new folks?

Hi ladies!!!! I saw another tiny tick down yesterday. I didnt check again but will tomorrow. My appetite was a ravenous beast yesterday. I do mean ravenous!!! Dh made low carb cream cheese danish. I ate too much of that.

We ended up with 11 inches of snow yesterday. Dh got called off and I was already off. Im always glad to have an extra day with dh but Id rather it not be a blizzard

Today we have plans with friends go to an RV show, lunch and a party tonight. I need to look up the lunch menu at the restaurant and get an idea of what will work.

I was kind of cranky at the clinic. I had my physical and she sent me to someone else who ran a ton of new labs.
Somehow out of this I need a liver ultrasound and a visit to another Dr. Thats nice to get called and told this but no one bothers to call back to schedule. Im sure this is over caution and all is well. Im persoanlly wondering if this isnt from running stuff when Ive been figting the flu for 2 weeks

Yesterdays eats

quest bar and nuts

3 low carb cream cheese danish ( :0)

big cheese burger

turkey and creamed spinach

another darn danish

WTG Mick on the loss. Your in a really good place, keep it up, there's always a woosh after that super hungry day! That's about how much snow we got too. We were down to just piles and bare ground now there's a foot again. Yuck. I hope the warmer weather comes back.

Tammay glad the loss of hunger has kicked in for you, and hope the headache is gone. Make sure you have a pinch of salt in there. That's what always gives me the headache.

Dimply a drop on the scale for you too! Yay! Omad is working for you!

I'm trying to get my butt in gear. Had a little sugar last night. Already ate my dinner. That won't be good for later. I'm out of nuts. Not getting my water down. Yep close to that hormone freak out time. I hope that's my problem cause I'm just not feeling it.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

No snow here, but we did drop 12 degrees from the past 2 days to a high of 70 today *runs & hides*

Even though I'm down on the scale I'm the same as last weigh-in. I will be if I have no poundage loss tomorrow; hope I lose some inches.

Mick - Sorry about all the medical tests. Hope everything is OK. for losses!!

Michelle - Did you eat anything tonight? The earlier I eat the more likely I am to have head hunger, so I don't even start dinner until about 7. I would have either caved, or gone to bed Glad you had a fun little getaway!

Tammay - Your menu looks delicious! Did you use tofu in your taco salad? Hopefully your headache is a detox headache which should go away soon.

today:
B - coffee w/cream & DaVinci's s/f syrup
D - stuffed chicken parmesan meatloaf; Greek salad

Fasting, passed the 24 hour mark at noon. Was hungry but it has passed, will have broth if needed but going to go for it. I have 3 weeks until violet's birthday. I really want to push some fasting until then. And thank goodness no girls nights planned!

Slow in here this weekend, you guys all out having fun without me? Come check in, keep it on plan!
Had a darn blizzard this morning, was nasty.

Dimply ~ WTG on the loss. All losses are an accomplishment and worth celebrating.

Mick ~ sounds stressful, stress always ruins my good intentions on eating. good luck on your test

Made it through, at noon it will be 48 hours. But going lunch to lunch has been very hard, yesterday was a white knuckle fasting day. I won't do that again. Dinner as the last meal is much easier. Had broth last night, or I wouldn't have made it. I spent too much time goofing off in February and didn't make the progress I wanted. I had to keep losing the same weight I already lost after girls night and casino night. so I feel like this open time until the party is time to double up my efforts and get some serious weight loss. Lots of fasting.

If I do eat today it won't be until dinner to set myself up for at least omad the next day. I prefer to just keep fasting but I am hungrier than normal too because it would be Tom time. Those hormones are just raging to be fed. Does that ever go away? The tOM munchies?
Summer is coming I can't be goofing off anymore!

How is everyone? Monday, Monday!

Dimply Woo hoo on the loss!!! That is awesome!!!! Can I have your 70 degrees pretty please!

Michelle I am so amazed by how long you can fast! You can see some positive change for sure before the party!

Tam how is it going?

I sure hope Findingme is ok!!!!! Its really been a while now.

I dont know what the heck got me off the rails so bad yesterday. It all started with Coke. I really really wanted Coke. It was all I could think about. I eventually stopped and got a Coke and fries. Dh brought home cake. Not wheat free cake. Actual cake. I started with the frosting and went hog wild and ate 2 big pieces. Dh kept saying Uh your going to get sick. I told him to shut it. Here comes the coughing , wheezing and the normal I need to buy stock in TP as I'm single handedly raising the value of the stock of TP, Bendaryl and Immodium. Pretty darn dumb when I know it has two allergens in it. Oh well done over and paying the price.

The drink and fries would have been ok since I do periodic spikes anyway but the rest was absolutely pure stupidity.

I didnt bother weighing today. It wasnt going to be pretty and if it was it would only be because of the potty issue. Ill get brave and check tomorrow maybe. I have to weigh in for the contest 3/1 also.

Besides calling and telling me I had to have an ultrasound and see someone else no one has bothered to call me to schedule it. Guess it cant be too urgent !!!

My class and test ran 8 to almost 5:30. LONG! I'll find out in about 2 weeks if I passed. Why I need to pass the certified food managers test
is beyond me but its their dime!

Todays eats:

coffee with collagen and cream/ cheese stick

turkey and mayo

creamed spinach and burger with cheese and bacon/ sf jello

Mick - I think that if we are going to gain 3 lbs from Coke, fries, & cake, then each time we resist Coke, fries, & cake we should lose 3 lbs. It's only fair!!
It’s been over 80 degrees for the past couple of days. Summer is going to suck!
I miss FindingMe too!
Feel better!

Michelle - I'm also amazed at your fasting ability. I can make it one day fairly easily, but usually by mid-day on the 2nd day I start getting shaky & dizzy. I would like to try to fast one day a week (with my morning coffee), but DH does not agree that it is healthy and I just don't feel like hearing it.

yesterday:
B - coffee w/cream & DaVinci's
D - chicken breast sauteed in butter; salad w/lettuce, tomatoes, creamy Italian dressing

Dimply ~ it is only fair! 3 lbs from a coke and fries? Really. It's only water but it is ridiculous.

Mick ~ I feel for ya. When you see that kind of ridiculousness on the scale it burns my butt.

I broke my fast. 3 days. It got me back down to my lowest. So great place to start the next one. I had BLT in lettuce wraps I am in no way full. Still quite hungry but want to keep it clean so gotta prowl the kitchen. If I stay out of sugar all will be well!

I had some queso dip and pork rinds much better on tortillas without that pork rind flavor aftertaste but it sure was high fat and cheesy. Yum! And some of that artic zero ice cream. Picked up the salted Carmel to try it's really not good. Wish I hadn't bought 2 of them. Shared with the dog. Hope she doesn't have a problem with whichever fake sweetener is in there! Lol! Yikes! But have stayed off sugar and carbage. So pretty happy bout that.

Catch you guys tomorrow.

No 80s today - high of 66 after 3 days of 80+ degrees. Low 70s for the rest of the week then back to the 80s Monday. This is why Mucinex D is my best friend
I will count my whoosh for Feb, so 233 to end Feb/start March.

Feel fine today other than tummy is tender. I think I ate something bad but I don't know what it was. Shamelessly I ate a bunch of sugar, I'm sure I am up but not getting on the scale. My last reported is correct enough on the list. I really have to stick to it for more than 1 week. I just re lose the same weight. Not eating much today and so far staying out of sugar. Ugh, I'm trying....

Yay! For you guys! Good job! I'm happy you guys could pull out some extra losses at the end.

I over did it on the carb level. No more gluten free stuff. I tried one of the gluten free buns on a hot dog and some of the gluten free cake our guest brought. The rest just went in the trash. . Way to good and way to high carb. I need to say this is it and get my butt back into stricter low carb mode before I gain!!!

Tomorrow I am going to make chicken tenders with the same spices that are used for the Heroin Wings recipe for dinner with cauliflower. I have an egg salad ready for lunch. If i feel like doing breakfast it will be cottage cheese and berries. I'm planning so I dont flop and go over on carbs!!! I sure dont want to lose momentum. right close to 20 pounds seems to be my I give up point and Im not doing it this time!!! Having you here doing this too is my rock in not saying " forget it!".

Making it through tonight so far. I've had some tea, might have some more. Yes I need you guys to kick my butt into high gear. Having dinner tomorrow. Baked chimichangas, I won't have the tortilla. I do have some GF tortillas but I despise them so I will have the filling and toppings. No eating till tomorrow's dinner. Hopefully can do omad and a few fasting days past the 1 week point, I have to get some more weight off. I hope this is another great month!!

Made it through last night. Will have my chimi for dinner then I hope to fast the next 2 days and have lunch at my moms Monday. Never planned a fast before. After lunch I know I will have to have some dinner Monday or I will be to hungry that night and definitely won't make it through Tuesday. I'm just 2 lbs above my lowest, kinda hoping most of that is gone by tomorrow then on to new lows. That's where I have been messing it all up, get back down to lowest then mess it up. I'm planning on omad and 2-3 day fasts until violets bday in like 16 days. I figure it's also the beginning of month no hormone cycle crappola this is prime time again and I want to make some serious headway!

I know you guys are ready to hit it hard again too! So let's really buckle down this month for super losses again!

Happy Friday! Nice weather today, but the weekend will be cooler & rainy. I've been so tired lately, so it will be good nap weather at least.

Mick - Good for you for throwing out the GF treats. My menu may be boring & predictable, but that is as much to curb my binging as it is to lose weight. I will binge on l/c processed foods like Atkins bars, but not on chicken breasts or steak.

Michelle - Glad you didn't have a long drawn out virus! Sounds like you have a good plan to make it to Violet's

Updating my March start weight so that 239 does not become a self-fulfilling prophecy!

Chimichanga in a bowl was amazing. Whole family loved them, never knew you could bake chimis. I marinated the beef for 6 hours before then at midnight put it in the crockpot on low and cooked till the morning when I got up. Opened the lid touched it with a for and it just fell apart, shredded itself, and the marinade and spices were through all the meat.

However I did wake up hungry this morning. Only 1 lb above now! Yay! Hope it's gone tomorrow. I know I will be in the broth today. Morning coffee isn't helping. Of course there's always a woosh when I get this hungry, so if I can get through it tomorrow might be a new low?

I stayed out of the nuts last night too which had been turning into midnight mayhem for the last few night. Nothing else to report. Should we scare up some new members? I you guys

anyone wanna join? Challenge runs till June 1st. Can join any time! We don't bite! Maybe just a nibble, it will help your weight loss! All plans welcome

Happy Saturday!!!! I hope you are all having a good weekend! I showered and got right back in comfy PJ's. So Im happily staying home today! We picked up our Zaycon chicken order last night and got that all packed away. Love their non med meat and LOVE the prices!!!

My weight decided to jump up a bit more after a good day yesterday. thats what I get for all my messing around. Now Ive got further to go for the 4/1 weigh in for the game but I will make it! Im kind of disgusted with myself as I was almost there before I started messing around.

I ate so much egg salad yesterday it wasn't even funny! Hey whatever works. I discovered egg salad it super tasty with red peppers in it. I made homemade chicken fingers last night. I dipped them in an egg and almond milk mixture and breaded them with a mixture that was for the most part parmesan, a little almond flour and a lot of spices. We dipped them in ranch as they were pretty spicy. I discovered I like the strips better made with cut up boneless thighs rather than breast meat.

Dimply~ Are you getting enough time for yourself being so tired? I hope you get lots of rest this weekend. Ick weather is good for something You know how you said you wont binge on steak but will the LC processed food? I read a book once about how they test artificial flavors and enhancers to see what made people want more. Your menus always sound tasty!

Michelle ~ It sounds like you have a serious plan to kick some pounds to the curb!!!! I need to be right there with you following the rules. Your Chimi in a bowl sounds super good! Any chance you could share exactly how you made it? Ive got my fingers crossed you see a new low!!!

Any new members are always free to join us I see we have had a lot of reads. We seem to get people joining and then they disappear. It helps so much to know you have support and that people are looking for you to check in and cheering you on. Im as excited when you gals get a good loss as I am when its me. It is kind of sad we are down to the three of us and I really wonder where FINDINGME is. However I am super grateful we three are hanging in there together. The more the merrier though so If your reading and serious and about staying committed and needing new summer clothes JOIN IN

Mick ~ comfy pj's is what it's all about. I, not getting out of mine either. What is zaycon chicken? Never heard of it.

Dimply ~ hope you are napping and getting some extra needed rest. Never hungry when napping, at least I don't know I am.

Baked chimichangas ~
Got a hunk of top round, put in bowl. In a separate bowl I combined some sugar free ketchup I tried to make that really was awful as ketchup and was going to throw out. But most recipes call for tomato paste small can. Use some beef stock to thin it. Add garlic, cumin, ancho chili seasoning, I'm very liberal with these, and any other Mexican spices I have hanging around. Also your supposed to add a tablespoon or 2 of honey depending on the size of meat. I don't bother. Then cover meat with mixture , just dump it on, put in fridge for at least 6 hours.

When ready to get meat cooking slice up half an onion and layer onion on bottom of crockpot. Dice jalapeño layer on onion. Grab meat and set on top of onion and jalapeño. Then add a couple cups of beef broth to the pot around the meat I don't pour on top of meat cause I want that marinade staying on top of it. I started the crock at midnight so it would be done when I got up, about 8 hours cooking time on low in my crock, YMMV. When done, fork it! And mix up your onions and jalapeño into the meat mixture

Flour tortillas maybe 3/4 -1 cup of meat down the center, some shredded Colby jack down the center on top of the meat then roll it like a chimi and put on a parchment paper lined cookie tray. Repeat till meat is gone. Then melt butter and brush chimis with butter, pop in oven at 350. When the start browning up I take out and run more cheese down the tops of all the chimis, pop back in. When nicely golden and top cheese is melted, remove and garnish with cilantro.

I keep some meat mixture out for my chimi bowl.

Then we have tomato, green onion, olive, sour cream, salsa, cholula and everyone puts what they want on their chimi.

In my bowl I have the meat mixture add cheese and all the toppings. All the yummies no bad carbies!

Also I had more "juice" than you would want in a chimi it would be too wet and give your chimis soggy bottoms in the oven so I did take the meat and all the goodies out of crock then just added some the "juices" to keep the meat moist but not wet.
