Spotting in menopause

Hi, sorry if this topic has been discussed but I cant find any similar posts. Im 60 and been in menopause for 5 years. I started keto 3mths ago and love it, mainly because
I dont get hungry. I have started spotting and wonder if it is the diet that is doing this. I read somewhere that keto can change your hormonal balance and burning fat can release estrogen into your system.

This can be a common problem, however, there is no way anyone, except your physician, can tell if your diet is the cause of this.. A woman's period is regulated by her hormones and diet can affect those, so this could have to do with being on a low carb diet, just like it can also not have anything to do with it.. Since you are currently going through menopause, the best thing you can do is see your physician to make sure. Let them know what your diet is and see what they say. Chances are it will work itself out, but again, it is best to see your doctor to make sure what is going on and to make sure there isn't another cause, not related to your diet.

You need to consult with your doctor to rule out other possibilities.
