I am 27 days on Atkins. I would say I am doing the new "40" because I haven't been able to keep my daily carbs under 20 consistently. Due to weigh in on the 31st. TOM consideration should be out of the equation by then. If inches/loss isn't enough, I might have to go old school and try this method for a couple weeks. I will miss my big salads...

Hey Joey,
You're doing great! Starting over at a lower weight is a real success. The best advice I can offer for keeping it simple is meat, eggs & salad.

Steak & eggs

Steak & salad

Fresh ground hamburger. Grab a good size hunk out of the package, fry it up and add eggs or salad. Whatever you feel like. Fry up an extra patty to heat up later

Fry up a pound of bacon. Pack in individual foil packs. Heat in a toaster over and eat with sharp cheddar sticks and green olives.

Rotisserie Chicken from the grocery with salad and Caesar dressing.

Left over Rotisserie pulled off the bone and dipped in mayo.

Sliced Ham rolled right out of the package.

I don't know if I'm eating too much fat, or if I'm just not staying on Atkins consistently enough. I lose, and then I go off and I gain again. A rotten cycle, over and over. I've had a good 12 days now...lost about 11lbs (I think I peed 7 times one night!!). Saturday I went up a few ounces, and of course I'm starting to worry. I've been cutting way back on the fat this time around. I miss the fatty food, but I'm doing well and I'm not hungry, so I think I'll keep trying this way for now. If I get tired of the lower fat, I have a fattier meal, but no carbs.

Hi Ladies,

I have steadily gained 30 pounds over the past year and a half! It's time to get serious now...I'm eating for recreation versus being hungry. I'm also stressed, but it makes me more stressed out that I can't wear my clothes!lol

Tomorrow, I will start. I'm going to prep food tonight and get on it in the morning! I'm committing to 14k steps per day - it's not a ton, but I work 12-14 hour days and have to start somewhere!

I'm going to have my son (16) join in as well...he needs to lose about 70 pounds. We will do this together!

Thanks for listening!!

So glad to see the list is still active, 2months in on 20 or less carbs. I have dropped from 124 to 116. hoping I can get this lower. My big cheat, every day is hwc in my coffee.. doesn't seem to stall me, I use between 1 to 3 tbls a day a tsp at a time. going to try to cut that in half today and eventually cut it out all together.. though it does seem to help with the .. not really hungry but hungry moods... Maybe I should switch to using butter
