Extended Egg Fast GO HEAVY OR GO HOME :)

So I just found out that I am going away in 19 days. (SURPRISE!) lol

I would love to lose 10lbs before then so I am going on an extended egg fast/fat fast (I may mix it up when I get sick of eggs because I know I can rock a fat fast )

So today is day one, I plan on going for AT LEAST 15 days.. Anyone with me? even if its just a couple of days the more the merrier!

my first meal of the day was eggcream coffee
I mix coffee, mct oil, butter, 2 eggs, splenda, tumeric, pepper, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla in my magic bullet. DELISH! (and a great way to get in some anti inflammatory.)

Wow! That coffee sounds delish! Can you give more specific about the ratio of ingredients, especially coffee, butter and mtc oil?
Well, heck, just give me the whole recipe, down to the last tsp! (Just kidding)
I just ordered 2 french presses from as seen on tv for $5 apiece. One of the brand names (I forget which, the one with the little man etched on it), it's about 3 cups. Amazon's running it for about $25.
Can't wait to try this out!
TIA

I prob use about 16oz of coffee,1 or 2 eggs depending if I need the extra calories or not (usually 1 egg) 1tbsp mct oil, 1tbsp butter. teaspoon vanilla extract, 3 stevia packets, half teaspoon cinnamon, half teaspoon ginger, half teaspoon tumeric powder and two spins on my pepper mill. then I blend in my magic bullet for about 20 seconds. DELISH!

I'm pretty sure my 8 days lost me 10 pounds, I've slept since then so I don't remember

I did manage to gain 2 back when I stopped, which was ok with me, where else can you lose a pound a day without massive exercise!

You're doing great!!

Well I decided to try the turmeric coffee, it was a good way to get my egg this am. With my medical history I've ended up a slow loser, 2 lbs in 2 days. Not complaining though.

You don't really notice the egg. Today I did a basic bulletproof coffee and added the egg. This morning my weight was exactly the same.... sadness, so I am going to go more basic with the egg fast, less cream cheese and no regular cheese. I'm transitioning back to LC Wednesday, will have finished 5 days. So yes egg coffee will be a part of my WOE!

Don't feel bad I was up .2lbs today

I'm actually fine with it because I bartend at nights on the weekends and with the lack of sleep (= extra stress on my body) I usually gain more than that on a monday weigh in. I'm at 160.8 this morning and would faint if I'm under 160 by tomorrow.

1 day to go! Down .6 lbs. Transition tomorrow. Then leave for Tennessee for a few days. I need to see of the hotel had a gym! Ah!! Walking is always good but not if its hot n humid.
BTW, I love how the egg makes the foam on the coffee and it stays.

WTG that means you're in fainting mode!
I usually delay breakfast because even a no carb breakfast can make me hungry, so usually just coffee with mct oil. I'm making egg coffee my new breakfast.
I didn't expect to lose a lot. Morning of day 5 (last day) I'm down 2.6. I'll be super careful to follow what I've read about transition.

I take a cup of water and a boullion cube and a tablespoon of butter and bring to a simmer.
I whisk one egg in a bowl with a fork and fresh cracked pepper then i slowly drizzle it into the pot with the broth and use the fork whisking fast in the broth while i drizzle it in slow. as soon as it is done I let it come up in heat again, shut off and pour back into my bowl that I whisked the egg in.

its good a lot of ways also, some times I add a little apple cider vinegar, some times some lemon or lime juice. I also mix it up and add different seasonings to it.
Yesterday I added italian seasonings, the day before I was eating it with a little hot sauce and lime chili powder.

sunshine, Transitioning is the WORST part for me.
I usually do it slowly like starting with egg meal, egg meal, vlchf (very low carb high fat) dinner
next day egg meal, vlchf lunch, vlchf lunch and a little veggies
I may try doing regular vlchf for a couple of days after my fast with out veggies to see if I can keep the weight gain minimal.
(going on a kind of surprise vacation on the 15th, my in laws surprised us with tickets to visit them in florida the other day)

Thank you so much!!!

so I am officially 7 days in with 6.2lbs lost
My monthly visitor came the other day with a VENGEANCE, so I am sure that is part of the reason my weight loss has slowed down. ITS NOT A GAIN THOUGH!!!!!

I'm still plugging along, and I plan on sticking to it until at least after aunt flo has went back home lol

NO CRAVINGS! actually its 11:30 and I have not eaten yet, and I'm not hungry and nothing sounds good. I'm sitting here sipping on some sparkling water debating if I want to eat, or someone sent me some pruvit samples just trying one of those instead.

I went to see family yesterday and my sister in law said "oooh your breath smells like ketones" usually I would have freaked out if someone said something like that to me but I was like wooohooo instead.

ok so I gained (0.4lbs) to 159.6 (JINXED MYSELF! LOL)

BUT, yesterday was a stressful day so I'm not beating myself up over it. (sister got a hysterectomy)
I had a slice of cheese with butter, 2 eggs with butter
then I tried pruvit (which might not have been a great idea since I had no appetite with the stress anyway)
I didn't get home till after 11pm then I made myself cream cheese pancakes to get my calories up because I was at about 650 calories for the day.

Today is another day, and another day that I have NO URGE to eat. I don't know if I should ride with it and kinda IF or I should at least have something to nosh on. I know with the egg fast you are supposed to eat in a certain time after you wake up, but I am just not feeling it, quite honestly I made a pot of coffee and I don't really want a cup of that either.. OH WELL!

Well done Queen! I stuck to the transition, hotel breakfast this am was cheese n cheese omelets, hopefully the copious amounts of cheese aren't to much for me. Going on a walk soon, first real exercise in days.
