Happy Friday!!!
Its a rainy day here and I bet this means we have leaves everywhere next week- so excited!! I'm also in full-on happy camper mode, I am obsessed with looking up all things camping/hiking related. Now that I have thought to get a camping trailer I can't wait to have it! But of course this is a big purchase so not only do I need to take my time but its expensive- probably best to go slowly as sometimes my obsessions fade after a while. (one of them was to open a wine bar... that took a year to fade though, after business classes and serious research). My new thought this morning is to buy portable solar panels. After all, the beauty of a camping trailer is to be in the great outdoors with the conveniences of home! I've been experimenting with recipes using dehydrated foods too. I tried a brand last night that was actually really tasty right out of the package! I have dreams of traveling the country - sigh.

Ok enough of the daydreams for the moment. I hit a new low scale weight this morning which makes me happy but pending tom and pms are making me want to eat chocolate and pizza and other things I've been trying to keep in control. I always do 2 UDs on the weekends, I don't want to make it 3, so today will be a bit of a challenge. good thing I'm at work. Speaking of which, off I go...

The degree and experience is more important to me, when I'm hiring, than the school someone attended. A really good school never hurts, but if the tuition is outrageous and you can't get additional scholarship money then it's just not worth it in my book.

I'm having a heck of a time with TOM. It hit me so hard yesterday I had to leave work early. I got home before noon. Took a shower and slept for almost 3 and a half hours. Wow!!! I was shocked when I woke up. I still didn't feel better even after napping, but today I feel much better- so far anyway.

It's cold (well quite cool) and rainy here- blah. Bring on the spring!!!! Hoping for another close to Zero Calorie DD again today. Seems I can pull it off on Wednesdays and fridays, but not Mondays. I think I'm tired enough on Wed and Fri to fall asleep with a rumbly tummy, but not so on Monday.

Speaking of TOM, mine just disappeared this month. I think it's because of going on JUDDD/low calorie intake. My BFF is urging me to take a pregnancy test.

Did this happen to anyone else when they first started JUDDD'ing?

Nope... might want to take a test if you are normally regular... JUDDD is not really low calorie enough to stop TOM- IMHO...

Vlo - I ended up the other day with maybe 200 calories. Not a true fast for me, but within the down day frame. I'm in the midst of my last 36 hour fast for the week. Oh, and yes listen to podcasts. A wealth of info!

Bluebelle - I agree with Carly and do a pregnancy test. You may not want to JUDDD if you're preggers.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Phoenix- congrats on the new low, hope your day went well!

Slow- good quote! I normally don't react at all but it was the perfect storm!

Leona- men indeed!

Shrinking- seriously they do need a strangle emoji

Carly, kind, kissa-

Vanilla- I'm currently 20 hours into my 36 hour fast . Sigh, can't wait for bed!

Bluebelle- he has been sick so I suppose there's that but he has always been very childish about food, that's why I stopped cooking for him years ago. Now that he's doing LC too I have to and it's always a hit or miss. I'm honestly a very good cook so it's infuriating! I asked him last night if he was even sorry about it and he said no, that he didn't feel good and he told me not to bother making him anything. Uh no he grouched at me to cook so now he's got amnesia to boot! I let him have it so hopefully he knows better now. Sigh! as for juddd making cycles wonky, never in my experience......so I'd take that test just to rule it out!

Had a 1.8 pound gain from yesterday's ud, sigh, so everything is back to normal that's a typical bounce for me. 5 pounds away from my goal…… and only four days left, maybe five I don't quite remember if they give you a grace period or not. So I absolutely have to do a zero day this weekend which I normally hate doing but I also would hate to lose my money so down day wins! It's going to be a nailbiter not sure if I can do it I've basically really have to make sure that my Saturday ud is Flawless. I'm blown away that I essentially had 13 pounds of water weight on me that I lost in 3 days, that's nuts! It's already 5 PM and I've made it with no food so I'm not gonna mess up at this point so today is Golden. Hope for a 3 pound minimum loss ,we shall see in the morning talk to you guys later!

Also rooting for you Vlo! Always.

I caved and bought a pregnancy test, will do in the morning with the first urine. BFF is waaaay too excited (only she knows I am taking one). I know I am not pregnant, but it's better to be 100% sure.

Pretty ok DD today. Fasted all day and then DS and I visited the pupusa stall after his swim class (320 cals). Might have a bag of crispy M&Ms to top off (180 cals).

DH is in a funk (he is bipolar), which bums me out. Just want him to feel better somehow, while simultaneously being annoyed that he can't just "snap out of it" (I know it doesn't work that way ans he can't help it. Just articulating innermost feelings).

LOL maybe pregnancy news will cheer him up! (No. It won't).

Go Vlo! Go Vlo! nothing like a little $ on the line to motivate! You can do it!

Bluebelle we all want to hear so make sure you tell us!! I have skipped my period here and there but I'm peri-menopausal so that is no surprise. I think you are too young for that, right?
Bummer on the bipolar DH. My nephew suffers with that as well and it always breaks my heart to see what he goes through. He has a few other issues as well so it is exacerbated. Go ahead and vent away - I get sad to see my nephew but it is also frustrating to watch his bad behavior. I always want to say "just grow up and stop being a brat" and I also know that it doesn't work that way.

Speaking of TOM Carly I hope you are feeling better. I don't know how you deal with your issues with that.

A gloomy day today. A friend is supposed to be bringing over a dog she is watching to play with DP and then she wants to go to dinner. the restaurant she wants to go to has fabulous food so I know I will eat plenty. Ah,gotta love an UD.

have a good weekend everyone!

Phoenix- TOM is letting up, so yay for that!!!

Bluebelle- keep us posted about the test and I sure hope DH starts taking a turn for the better soon. I consulted a specialist about getting pregnant about 2-3 years ago and I told him about JUDDD, but said I'd stop when I got pregnant and he said no need to if you don't want to. I guess back in the day it was common to go a day without much food.

DW and I have 2 funerals this morning. One for a friend's mother and another for the brother of one of DW's childhood friends. I'm fully dressed in a black dress, stockings and heels at 9:30 on a Saturday morning- not my favorite way to kick off the weekend.

Phoenix -- that sounds like a fab UD! DP time and great food.

Carly -- oh my gosh, not a fun way to start weekend. We've all been there though -- or will be.

I am NOT pregnant, guys. Sigh. On one hand, I feel relieved. On the other, a twinge of sadness. That's the way it always is when I pee on the Stick of Truth.

And I have some other news -- I got on the Rectangle of Doom this morning. The last (highly traumatic, lol) time I weighed was just over a month ago, on the 19th (you guys might remember that it was the first time I weighed in 3 years, and I got the nasty shock of seeing 203 lbs., AFTER being on JUDDD for 3 weeks - meaning I was probably at 208 lbs when I started, or even higher!).

So...how much does the scale say I lost since March 19th? Disclaimer: since March 19th, I went fully off-plan 10 days (vacation and failures). So the following loss is really based on just 23 days of doing rotations. Not even perfect rotations, guys -- you know I've been eating 500 cals more than I should on UDs lately. And no exercise, beyond light walking a few days a week.

I lost TEN POUNDS. I now weigh 193.

I don't even know what to say, except that this WOE is utterly amazing. Sustainable and effective. I am fully confident I can lose the other 43 lbs I need to lose to get to goal. And all of you JBs -- oh my goodness. Your words every day help me push forward. Thanks so much!!

Doing the happy dance for you.

Think about that- 10 pounds lost with 23 days of rotations- so 11 or 12 of those days were... UDs... doesn't get better then that!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so delighted to read this - how many times did you reweigh yourself before you accepted that it was true?

Well Done for keeping the faith and trusting the process.

Carly -- wow, I hadn't thought of that!! So, 12 DDs = 10 lbs down!!

SlowSure -- 2-3 times. I knew I had lost something, but I was expecting maybe a 3-pound loss at most. Was really surprised.

Am having a good weekend. DS and I met my mom for lunch/ice-cream yesterday. Didn't really feel up to big dinner, but had a big glass of wine.

I think this weekend is going to be two UDs in a row though -- today DS and I going to a kid birthday party for one of his friends. Love these things -- they totally tire him out.

Hi all - I'm useless at remembering to check and post!

Vlo - not sure what you're doing -but good luck!!
Bluebell, congrats on the weight loss.

I'm back on Michael Mosely's 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet (just finishing D3 and have already dropped 5 of the extra 7lbs or so I was carrying - still a further 4 to go to my lowest weight). Loving the control I have - and it's amazing what I can eat for 800 cals a day. Most days I still have a Bulletproof Coffee & some Walnut Oil - and then a good dinner (and perhaps a boiled egg at lunch time).

I will get to 100lbs lost in the next week or so!!

Vicky- will you do it for 8 weeks again? Good luck reaching your 100 lb goal, almost back to mine too! I'm doing a diet challenge where I bet money on how much I'd lose , not sure I'll win but I'm going to try!

Bluebelle- awesome on the 10 lbs!! Keep it up! I know what you mean about having a little sadness , it's like even if you don't want to have another baby it's sad when it's confirmed that you won't. Strange creatures we are sometimes!

Carly- sorry you had a double funeral yesterday

Oy vey, well after Friday's dd I lost 3 lbs! So I only had 2 lbs to lose to win my bet but I was so sick yesterday, caught that virus my family had all week, started with a killer headache and turned in to a head cold and sore throat, lots of sneezing and blowing my nose. I did well diet wise but do think I had closer to 2100 cals and as a result am up 2.2 lbs. sigh not good as now it's 4.2 lbs to lose for the bet. The bet final weigh in starts tomorrow and you have until the 25th at 11:59 pm to enter your weight. So basically if I don't drop 4.2 lbs overnight (doubtful) then I may have to do a double down day not fun but people fast for 48 hours or more all the time so I suppose I won't die it just sucks cause I'm not sure even a double dd will do it.... also being sick on top of it all blows. I havent lifted weights In a week and I skipped practice all week too. Blah! Today I'm pushing liquids , I'll take a detox bath , and also drink some tea to help me go to the bathroom as I feel like I really haven't been lately. Have a relaxing Sunday everyone!

Sorry you caught the bug. I hope you win the bet- if anyone can pull it off- you can.

DW and I are both absolutely fatigued, but we had so much that needed to get done, so we just pushed through it. The thought of getting up tomorrow at 3:15 and for the rest of the work week to come seems unbearable, but, yet, I know it will happen and will be Friday again before I know it.

Carly- thanks, I'll try my darnedest! It stinks when your weekend is hijacked with circumstances beyond your control , never enough time to get it all done! hoping a speedy work week for you and a relaxing upcoming weekend!

So it's 6 pm, fasted all day, currently soaking in my detox bath, still feel like poo and probably should've pushed more liquids than I did today. Sigh, so I need a strategy... I realized if i don't lose 4.2 overnight and I continue to fast thru all of tomorrow.....that'll be almost 60 hours of fasting.... idk how I'm going to feel plus being sick.......maybe i should eat a 500 calorie dinner tomorrow night..... sigh guess I won't know till tomorrow what to do. Hoping for a miracle at this point!

Hello Everyone, hope everyone is doing well. I realized I have not checked in all month, having a cool rainy day here so I am staying inside. Still dropping weight slowly but very thankful it is still coming down. I am within 3 pounds of being at my lowest weight where I was 2 years ago before my body started gaining weight again so I am really wanting to get past that point. I am doing a three day motorcycle trip with our Church Motorcycle Ministry group this week and am thinking about eating regular with the group. Normally my dd consist of zero calories so planning on keeping the days this week medium to zero calories. Interested in how everyone else plans around trips and vacations.

Harley- hi! Glad to see you are still having success with juddd! Vacations are tricky , i usually stop my rotations and resume when I get back. But that always leads to weight gain. I know Portia has successfully stuck to Juddd while on vacation and lost weight during , which is amazing! If you don't think you'll want to stick to it Id say just try to skip meals where possible, usually breakfast is the easiest unless everyone is going out to breakfast. Or try doing an 18/6 while on your trip. Whatever you end up doing have fun!

Sigh, 164.4, 1.6 lbs still for my bet so looks like I won't be eating today either. honestly I'm not hungry and yesterday's dd wasn't difficult at all so I can't complain. However having no experience with a fast longer than 40 hours , I'm not sure if I can expect to see more weight loss? I dropped 2.6 from my ud to my dd but at what rate does one lose when you are already in a fasted state? I'm assuming it's not a big drop as your stomach is already empty so maybe it won't work but I've got to try. Now I remember why it's been a year since I've done one of these bets, it sucks when you are close to losing! But I guess that's the point, lit a fire under my butt this last week and I've dropped 15 lbs in a week so I suppose that's worth $35 right there. Sigh, still sick , kids still sick, keeping my dd home from school......going to be a long day.

Vlo I would say that this is the most important thing right here...it lit a fire under your butt and motivated you. But you are going to make yourself crazy trying to lose 1.6 lbs. overnight when you're already sick, with a sick household. It might even derail your efforts for the rest of the week - something to think about. Is the $35 going to charity?

I did not eat up to my UD calories yesterday (it was broiling hot and humid all day - the hottest day of the year so far - and food just seemed gross), and am subsequently starving this morning. It's supposed to be a DD but I might have to switch to a UD. It would also make sense in terms of re-ordering rotations; there is a long weekend coming up (May 1st is Labor Day here). Having DH at home for two consecutive days* isn't easy for JUDDD - might be best to have this Sunday as an UD (which I could do if I turned today into an UD), Monday as a DD.

*DH works 6 days a week. His usual day off is Sunday. Long weekend means he will be here on Monday (May 1st) as well.

Bluebelle- i can relate that trying to do a DD while DH is home is difficult! Does he still not know your doing juddd? Cause that would make it next to impossible! I say as long as you don't think switching it up will cause you trouble go for it, great thing about juddd is you can always switch your days to suit your needs! As for the bet if you lose your money goes into the pot to be distributed to the winners. Part of the nice thing when you win is you get your money back plus win a little bit more. But yes the more important thing was the motivation it gave me regardless of winning or losing. However I need not worry because.............

I did it! I made weight 162.8 lbs! I submitted my pics and they got approved within 30 minutes! When I saw 164.4 this morning I thought no way I'm making it today but I had my coffee, went to the bathroom twice and then took another detox bath....stepped on the scale and it said 163.2! I was like whoa only .4 to go how can I do this? So I read wrestlers will go in steam rooms to make weight so I created a steam room in our tiny bathroom by running the shower on hot and sitting on the toilet and sweating lol. Weighed again 163, ahhhh only .2 to go. Went back into the steamy bathroom for a bit, peed a little and blew my boogery nose......162.8! more details than you needed but that's how I did it! only had to go 36 hours into my fast too! Had my lunch at 11, ropa vieja empanadas using fathead dough down 101 lbs this morning sure it'll be up tomorrow but today I'm going to enjoy saying it!

Vlo, yes! Way to go! Rocking it! My blood boiled a little for you w/ the story about your husband and making food for him... I hope the talking to you gave him made him see reason...

Bluebelle, that's so awesome about the 10 pound loss! This WOE really is amazing. And you and I are really close in weight now! Do you have an ultimate goal in mind? My big goal right now is 182, which will be 100 pounds. It's hard to imagine I could ever stick to a budget that would get me lower than that, but we'll see... I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!

So my news for the week is that I started JUDDD April 21, 2015, so just had my 2-year JUDDDiversary I guess. When I first started this plan I thought maybe it was too good to be true and that I wouldn't stick with it, but here I am, two years later, and I still believe it's the plan for me. Last week, the holiday and some time off work had my eating plan a bit messed up. Long story short, for Tuesday through Friday, I did a standard set calorie budget (essentially MDs). It was just... so... hard! But weeks like that are occasionally good for me, just as a reminder of why I'm doing this. I think when I'm struggling through DDs sometimes I forget that struggling 50% of the time is still better than struggling all the time. Anyway, all told, from 4/21/15 to 4/21/17 I lost 73 pounds (plus 8 pounds from a few weeks of low carbing which I hated but led me to THIS forum ). I don't think I ever dreamed I'd actually be under 200 pounds again, so in some ways life is a dream. Later today when I'm wishing I hadn't blown my DD budget in the morning I'll have to remind myself of that. Ha!

I think I'm going to have to peruse that sticky thread full of good DD meal ideas. I'm kind of in a rut right now. Though I did do a bunch of meal prep yesterday, making veggie dip and doling it out with portions of raw veggies and fruit. That should help this week.
