Hi Debbieleigh, I am not qualified to answer that one, as I do no weight training, unless you count the two 16 oz. cans of Green Beans I carry while I'm Walking. Puppy Love could answer though. She is on here everyday. I'm sure she will get back to you.

Welcome back Debbie. Most people do cardio first too warm up body/muscles so weights are easier and you get more benefits.

Just read through this thread. Great job puppy love and enemy sugar! Puppy what does cize and piyo mean? And how do you ever do elliptical for 2-4 hours! Wow! Do you watch a movie or read or listen to music or something?
Enemy you are doing more each week too. Very good!

I am a walker. I walk twice a day with my dog. I am old but she is young lol and we walk fast and faithfully about two hours total each day about 6-7 miles total. It's all good!

ok. I am about 2 baby steps up from a c ouch potato and I hurt my ankle this year. At some point I will need to have the ankle replaced. and right now I am dealing with chronic pain.
so .. I do what I can.

but I am trying to commit to daily exersise. so


today , it will be my steps. - 3000 is th e goal. and about 4 hours in the garden.
Like I said, I cannot do as much as most of you guys, but I am starting so it is better then nothing.

Welcome Shunsweet and gigi3...long story short I've broke my back twice and suffer from chronic neck,back, leg pain. I use to take a high dose of opioids 4x a day. I weaned myself off all pain medication as I started to exercise to manage pain. I literally started out 5 minutes a day. I do the elliptical 1 hour at a time reading books on my iPad. Cize is a dance dvd I do one routine for the month then switch to another. Piyo is also a DVD which is a cross between yoga and Pilates. Both are from beach body workouts. I actually walk more than I post. The time I post is when I walk on my lunch break at work. I have 2 small dogs that I walk a lot but don't count that time cause they stop to go potty and sniff around so that's too hard to estimate so I just post 30 min on the weekends too.

So, I am going to try to increase my steps to 5000 every day. Make that my new normal.
I have a hard time doing that when it is rainy days, as I cannot get out as much. but I can try.

I also on a reg basis, do 100 squats and 100 girl pushups.
goal for he week, is to do those every day, and get to 5000 steps every day.
I will report back daily.

The usual 2 mile walk this morning, plus Bench Presses after breakfast.

I do Bench Presses every 4-5 days and Dead lifts every 9-10.

did all my stuff yesterday , and a 20 second plank.
extra for yesterday was a walk with my brownies got a extr 3500 steps in .

today is raining... I am not sure how I am going to handle this one. I suspect I am walking in the house today. lol. the kids are going to think I am insane.

I have written myself out a list of extra stuffI want to do each night to increase movement. and honestly, burn 100 calories. I can do it.

Out of town for work since Sunday but I walked 6 Miles each day in the Hotel Parking Lot.

Back to the Football Field today and I'm going to shoot for 7 Miles of Walking and 15 Times Up and Down the Bleachers. We'll see if I make it.

The usual 2 mile walk this morning. I now have a streak of 140 days straight without missing.

Then Dead lifts: (KG = Kilograms, my weights are metric)

60 KG X 8
70 KG x 6
80 KG x 4
90 KG x 2
100 KG x1
80 KG x 3
80 KG X 3
80 KG x 3

This was day 6 of 50 net carbs or less and I didn't feel that lack of energy while working out like I did at the start.
