DD in terrible pain
DD and I were up nearly all night. DD has swimmer's ear and the pain is preventing her from sleeping We are giving her OTC Ibuprofen. The problem is that it is just taking the edge off the pain and not for very long. DD is asking for more long before it is time for more. I feel helpless. Anyone have any suggestions???

I can't say I recommend this, but my grandmother used to put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in our ears, then press a cotton ball against the ear and turn your head to get the peroxide out, then put a few drops of alcohol in the ear, when we'd get swimmers ear.
Trying to remember, she'd turn the treated ear downward, then gently tug the ear lobe down and away to open the ear canal and let the peroxide come out.
It's been decades, I'm sure there's a google or youtube video showing it now.
