Question for those who've had their excess skin removed

Did your pound loss in removed skin show on the scale? I have had a total of about 15 pounds of excess skin removed in the last 2 years and while my size is smaller and my clothes fit differently than they did before that "loss" doesn't show on the scale. I am wondering where it went? You would think I would have come out of surgery weighing 14 pounds less but now 6 months later I weigh even more than before I went in! I have maintained a 150 pound loss for over 9 years so I know what I am doing. My weight is always within a few pounds and I know I definitely haven't gained 15 pounds of muscle. Has anyone else had this experience?

I did see the loss on the scale once my swelling went down. But... I was exercising a lot before surgery which obviously couldn't be done for quite some time after (healing/recovery) so after surgery I upped my protein while lowering my overall consumption to match greatly reduced activity level.

I've since regained some weight but that's a whole other story

10 sizes lost, 1 or 2 to go!

Swelling. After skin removal and lypo your body will really swell alot. It likely seemed like regular losses to you afterward. I also had about 20 lbs of fat and skin removed and didn't see a change in the scale for over a month.
