Oh good! Very glad they liked it so much! I think I am going to do ribs again this week. That was quick and easy and made for great leftovers.

Trying some new stuff today-

Testing out a meatloaf.

It's about 2.5 pounds of ground beef. I did it first at HP for 20 mins and then tested it with a meat thermometer - not done. I've got it in a round Pyrex that fits in the larger pot.

I opened it up and took the smaller Pyrex out, threw in some red potatoes on the trivet thing, put the meat loaf back on and set it for 10 more minutes at HP. We'll see how it all looks then!

There is a flashing icon alongside Millergirl 1976 saying happy birthday but the date is 15th April 15/4/2016 in Uk 4/15/16 in America!
So a late Happy Birthday to you, mine was 5 days earlier!

I bought an Instant Pot earlier this year. For whatever reason, I am scared to use it! So weird. I am generally not afraid to tackle new recipes/appliances. But this thing intimidates me.

Nepal,

It is scary the first time or two, I totally get that. I felt the same way.

Watch a few videos on youtube, that helps. Then, do the water test (read about it in the manual.) Doing that helped me get over the hump.

I just used mine to make 30 Hard boiled eggs to take for a big Teacher Breakfast tomorrow. Makes life so easy!

It took me a while to get past that because I remember my grandmothers stove top one blowing it's top a little when she didn't cool it under running water enough.
But the IP has incredible safety locks

Don't be skeert!

I've been using pressure cookers and canners for many years now. These new ones are just AWESOME. LOTS of safety features and the IPs have wonderful cooking features too. I like it so much more than the other two digital electric ones I have.

Start with something simple, you'll be amazed, I bet! I do HB eggs in mine ALL the time, DH loves how they turn out. His idea of a perfect HB egg is still very slightly soft/dark yellow in the center. I can do 6 of them 3 minutes at high pressure, turn unit off, 3 minutes rest, then plunge into ice water for about 12 minutes. So easy! And they peel like a dream.
