Sprinkle cheddar or spoon on sour cream..Last night I used neither.

Pulled Pork

Pork shoulder - the biggest that you can fit into your crock pot
Lots of salt and pepper on all sides
Sprinkle with smoked paprika (optional)
That's it! No liquid needed - the fat renders quickly

Cook on Low all day, 8 hours minimum. Let cool a little and throw out the big hunks of fat, then shred the meat

So good with or without sauces. I like it with a little butter and Cholula but the kids use BBQ sauce.

Another of my fav! Ribs and sugar free BBQ sauce. All day long cooking, fall off the bone meat.
Served with grilled veggies.

I experimented.....

Browned chicken breasts (bone in-skin on)
Roasted 6 Poblano chilis and peeled
Put chicken in crock with chicken broth to create sauce
When chicken was tender, added cream cheese, lemon juice (small amount), dash of cayenne and chopped Poblanos

Just looking now, I guess I never used the "quick reply" feature before!
So, it looks like you have to hit the "Go Advanced" button ...look beneath the message box...then you will find the smileys.
But, to avoid the extra step, just go to the upper left corner to the "Post Reply" and it will get you the smiley function automatically.

I made the most ugly but not bad tasting lemon bars-2 carbs per bar. I'm on Induction, hoping the danishes are Induction friendly.

Lemon bars may not be....they have lemon juice, sweeter, almond flour, baking powder and eggs....

New to the forum

Hi All
I started my Atkins diet 2 weeks ago. I have done Atkins before and lost almost 80 lbs on it then. I was a much younger woman then and did not have the health concerns I have now. In the last two weeks I.have had a.very difficult time getting down to 20 carb per day. I am hoping that the info and support bere will help. I have had a remarkable improvement in my digestive issues and feel better in general. I have diabetes (metformin treated), high blood pressure, severe psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, as well as OA and degenerative joint and disc. My goals include getting my carbs down to 20g and losing 100 lbs. A nice round figure that will put me in shooting distance of 150 which is my end goal. That was always a very comfortable weight for me, but I will need to re-assess then to determine if my health concerns mean I need to lose more. I'm looking forward to my journey with you all. Now if I could just slow down the peeing!!
