FRIDAY'S ROLL CALL, Jan. 6

It's 22 degrees, I'm getting ready to snuggle in the bedroom to watch more tv. The wind was something else today.

Let's get a good night's sleep!

Good morning. Same temps here, Doris. Nothing like snuggling under the covers with a warm kitty....every morning, as soon as he hears me move around, Red jumps into bed with me for a 5 to 10 minute cuddle.

Seem to have had a little bit of a relapse. Scratchy throat and sniffling. Need to go grocery shopping, but will take it easy.

Have a good one.

75 gorgeous degrees here ladies, beautiful day.
Cast is on, sure wasn't a pleasant visit, he was moving my wrist around all over the place, hurt like heck! Now fingers are in a different position and we're back to square one.
Cast stays on for 3 weeks.
I was invited to a Neil Diamond Tribute tonight at our civic center, am looking forward to it and just plain getting out.
You guys take care with the awful winter storm coming.

Same temperatures here in Ky. Salt on the roads from yesterdays dusting of snow.
Main roads are clear.

Begete do you take any thing when you feel an onset of a cold. I usually hit the Musonex. Don't take it near nighttime though, it keeps me awake.

Doris do you have that new bookcase (I think that is what it was) organized.

Ginny glad that the cast is finally on. You might have less pain with it on.
Enjoy the Neil Diamond tribute tonight. Will you go out for dinner?

Home for me today. Making some Baked Beans to take to pot luck on Sunday. Cleaning house a little.

HI to Michele, Julie, Susan and those that follow.

We have had snow flurries for several hours, I keep hoping it would be like when we lived in the mountains and amount to something, but of course, not here. Temps still 22, not going up until Monday to the 50's and Tues could hit 70. Went to the mailbox and the wind chill is the bugaboo, but lucky to have a warm house and not have to be out on the weather as so many have to be.

Loretta, sounds like you are having a good, "normal" day, cleaning up, making baked beans, exercising, doing this and that. I have never made baked beans in my life. Have eaten canned ones a few times. Do you put onions in them?

Babette, I'm sorry you have caught something else from someone else, your immune system is down very low lately. How is John doing? There are always people shopping and coughing all over the place!! Hard to stay away, and washing the hands isn't enough, really. Get better!!!

Ginny, enjoy that tribute tonight, I just watched Neil Diamond on that Christmas show when they lit the tree at Rockefeller Center before, just watched the recording of it, lol. Sorry your wrist and fingers hurt so badly from the cast affair.

I did get the two bookcases, Loretta, but Christmas and other, more entertaining happenings have been going on, preventing me to make decisions using them yet. Including repositioning them to another place.

Did anyone watch that "Mercy Street" series last year on PBS, the new season begins on Jan. 22. I saw the finale last year, forgot anything about it so will find it and watch again.....

Waving Howdy, to anyone not posted yet.

No Loretta, not going out for dinner before show.
Doris, what's up with you and baked beans? I love 'em. Do you do pinto beans? Living in TX now I'd think you would.

My husband was not a bean lover, Ginny, and no one I cook for now wants beans, even though I like them.

The snow is sticking, now, friends!! . Lol

This is a Paula Dean recipe and my friend John made them and I really never cared for Baked Beans but loved these from the start. I like most all beans.

Silas might just need to get used to snow, but you probably don't get much of it. It looks nice but I sure don't like it on the roads.

DS let me know that they are safe down in Ft. Lauderdale. Yikes you just never know these days. I could have been at that airport today, glad I wasn't!

Hi Monika, I've heard that psyllium husk capsules are helpful, but would recommend checking with your doctors before starting any supplements.

Glad to have another Texan join us!
