MONDAY'S ROLL CALL, Jan. 9

Another new week.....

Babette, how is John's foot doing? How are you feeling?

Silas is here tonight, too, they decided to let him stay. He is happy as a clam. The girls are coming in the morning to do the floors, so have to get up early to move stuff out of the bathroom.

I need to go to bed, tuckered out.

I did watch the Whidbey Island show last night. The island looks lovely. Begete, I don't think you'll have any problem selling if you don't set your price too high. How is John?
A friend did me a big favor, sewing something for me, and wouldn't take any money for doing it, so I'm taking her out for lunch today. Tomorrow night I hope to go out with the singles club to Longhorn Steak. Then, there are three more "dates" for this month all involving food...lol.

good morning you all... Good monday... and for many the first REAL WEEK of the new year. Everyone seems to be back at work and school...
My son had to take a work related out of town trip this morning.. he will be home again tomorrow eve.. so I need to go and let his puppies out and feed them..
so I think after that.. I just head on out to the gym and get my workout in early.

walkies with the dogs this afternoon. it will be over 70F? yikes.

Breakfast for us was spinach and eggs with a slice of swiss cheese.
Lunch left over chicken from last night..
and then.. I am looking for dinner idea.. argh. I am thinking salmon ... and green beens?
going to check the menu thread .. and see .. whats posting there.

Babette.. hope you hubby is feeling better.... today..
Mine is off from work until friday. He works for the electric company control center.. and 12 hr shifts... Fri, sat, sun and mon.. and then he is off for a few days.. and then next weekend he works 12 hr days.. So.. its hard for us to get a reg routine going..
I try to make and agenda for each day.. and set at least 4-5 daily goals... I want to accomplish.. specially when he is home... otherwise my days and time just runs away.. and nothing gets done.

BTW I also have 4 Great Danes... and they are keeping us busy.. and on our toes. and 5 chickens..

Another cold one today and then tomorrow back to our normal warm temps!
A friend just brought a piece of homemade spinach pie, I will enjoy that in a little bit.
My fingers are getting more strength in them, now that the cast is on. Thumb however is going to take a while, still numb but I can move it.
Staying in today till chorus practice tonight.
Will soon be time to go looking at cars.i have no clue as to what to look at.
Monika, 4 Great Danes? I guess they do keep you busy. Love that you're able to have chickens too.
Begete, hope John is doing better today.
Stay warm all!

Ginny, one of my daughter in laws just bought a Mini Cooper. They love it. I'm glad your arm is in the cast and on the way to healing.
The sun is out now and it's warming up.

LOL....Julie - that is the problem...we are asking a lot of $$ for our house.

John's foot remains the same with not a clue what is wrong. I think I will make an appointment for him, if we can get one, with the podiatrist on the mainland.

Might look at a Mini Cooper for next time. I think they are neat cars.

Busy day at the office today. Just about worn out.

Warmer here but the wind is making it feel chilly.

Nice to read all of your goings ON.

It's been busy here with Silas here, and I didn't leave the house. Was 17 degrees yesterday and 64 today, 70's tomorrow, weird. Wind is really nasty though.

I think the Coopers are cute, but have seen them after accidents, they don't do well unfortunately. I'm not sure what kind of car I would go for to downsize.....
Ginny, I'm glad your fingers are returning towards normal.

Some of the HGTV House Hunters shows tonight start with new ones at 7:00 PM already, for those that care. And DIY channel also has some new stuff.

Babette, did you get an appt for John today? What a pain to have a foot hurt all the time. Do you think it's a pinched nerve?

Where we used to live they are having awful rain and snow, power out, small county not even a radio station. I'm trying to keep contact with former neighbors, but power keeps going out and they don't have generators.

Have a good Night, friends.

Re: the Mini Cooper. We had one in England many moons ago. It was great the kids loved it when they were little. It is very close to the ground though for those of us wanting to be further up to see the road. ha!

Another bitterly cold one again up here. We have a promise of a tad warmer day tomorrow but a truck load of snow to come with it. Oh joy! Loving Winter!

I will have to look for that Island show on Demand hopefully it will be there soon. I missed it again last night. I didn't see your post Julie till this morning.

well .. good monday here for us.. .did not get to walk the dogs.. been busy doing other things..
Went to the gym this morning.. and well. my DH dropped me off.. and then was done early with his errands.. so he came in.. looking for me... and he realy liked the way Planet Fitness looked.. He said much nicer then the last gym I was a member off.. so he is going with me tomorrow. I am so happy about that. He usually does NOT like working out or going to the gym.. and so this is just so great.. and a good start.
Than we went to my son's house.. and took care of his 2 dogs. He is out of town on a company trip.. he will be back tomorrow.. So we stopped by twice already today.. one more time tonight.. make sure they get to go out and go.. etc.
Also decided to upgrade my phone.. and that took some time.. got all my stuff switched over and at the same time a tablet for Hubby.. So he is happy too.. LOL
dinner was good.. Lunch was good.. and we stayed OP.. because we spend all day doing this or that..
So.. looking forward tomorrow.. and working out at the gym with hubby.
