Golden Home Ultra Thin Protein Pizza Crust

Golden Home Ultra Thin Protein Pizza Crust:

At Netrition, you get 3 crusts for $4.39 and @8 carbs each.

They are so thin and I love thin crust pizza. I picked up pizza for the wife last night after shopping and decided to come home and try these crusts.
I am not ashamed to say that I ate all 3 of them.

They taste a little sweet so I added some crushed red pepper to them and that helped a lot. They don't have much of any taste, so they work great.

They did give me gas all night, but other than that, I liked them. Too bad I only got one package and already placed my netrition order for this month.
I will be buying them again. I think I will have a salad next time so I don't need to eat 3 of them. Ya know that shopping thing spends all your energy, esp. walking on concrete floors.

Purple Sweet Potato

Purple Sweet Potato:

We got a couple of these and tried them during the holidays.

I am not a sweet potato fan and I have to report that the purple ones taste just like the orange ones...they just look more interesting.

The boy dog loved eating mine.

Dave's Killer Bread - Powerseed

Dave's Killer Bread - Powerseed:

This bread is good. I mean, really good.

It comes in at 12 carbs per slice so I have an occasional slice of it.
Sometimes, I have 2 for a sandwich.

It freezes well and keeps well in the fridge.
Now they even sell it at Walmart.

I used to get it at Sprouts.
It's about $5 something per loaf, closer to $6, but I think its worth it.
It is like real whole grain bread. Of course I don't know the ingredients, but I can live with the carb count.

I generally eat the low carb bread company thin sliced bread toasted with some s/f jam or just butter. I don't mind that at all, but it just isn't very good for a sandwich.

I realized that I've never posted a review of this product, so I thought I should. I was perusing the bread section of my freezer this morning. lol

I actually remember you talking about it but maybe not a review.
Were you able to get the thin slice loaf? It is also the size of a regular loaf pan not the wide loaf.

They have thin sliced on their website but I haven't seen them in Walmart or sprouts or whole foods. I haven't been to whole foods in about 6 months, so they may carry it by now. I would prefer the thin sliced because if you make a sandwich with 2 slices of the powerseed, it is a lot of bread. It holds up well though.

On the website, I see 21 grain thin sliced for 9 carbs per slice.
The powerseed thin sliced is 7 grams of carb. I like that.

I see they do sell it on amazon, but its way overpriced. It's like $26+ for 2 loaves of the thin powerseed. I have to pass on that. Its not worth $13.00+ per loaf in my opinion.

I'm going to Sprouts tomorrow, so I will check for the thin. I'll try to get to whole foods since they supposedly carry the 21 grain thin sliced.

Their main store is in Oregon...I think it said Milwaukee...I forget. Is that anywhere that you ever travel?

I think Costco carries it, as well.

I love bread with seeds....lots of seeds. The flavor is so good.

Alvarado Essential Flax is 13 net carbs for 2 slices so similar. TJ's carries it but the name is Sprouted Flax or something like that.

I buy Dave's but only if I can't get the Alvarado or TJ's whole wheat sourdough.

Dave's Killer Bread 21 grain Thin Sliced

Dave's Killer Bread 21 grain Thin Sliced:

9 carbs per slice
smaller than the regular sliced Dave's bread

tastes pretty good, but not as flavorful as the powerseed, which so far is my fave
It costs the same as the big loaf

for me, the big loaf has 3 more carbs per slice, but it's so much more bread and so much more filling, but that's just me.

VLC Fluffy Protein Bars

VLC Fluffy Protein Bars:

I got these from Netrition.
$12.95 for 7 protein bars

8 carbs per bar and 15 grams protein

They also have nutter crisp.

These are crispy like rice krispy type product filling and covered in vanilla yogurt.
I don't like yogurt but these are okay. I mostly bought them for the protein content.

These are good for a quick fix and taste a lot like rice krispies, but not sweet like them.

They have a bigger sized slice package in the power seed type. I'm not sure about the others. The bigger bread has 3 more carbs per slice but a sandwich out of it will fill you up if you pile on the fillings.

NuNaturals NuStevia Cocoa Syrup

]NuNaturals NuStevia Cocoa Syrup:

16oz $13.99 Netrition

Ouizoid told me about this and I appreciate it so much.

It has real chocolate flavor.
I didn't get around to making a smoothie yet, but I put drops of it on sliced strawberries.

The syrup is very thick so you could probably melt it a bit in the microwave--but don't take my word for it cuz I haven't tried that either yet.

Anyway, if you are needing some chocolate flavor without all those chemicals you sometimes get in s/f chocolate bars, try this.

I tried the almond one today.
It's pretty good. It seems to have a cherry flavor going on.

TJ's meatless meatballs get the thumbs up. No need to buy the others now since hub didn't bat an eye.

O, really good. Thanks.
Grocery Outlet had 365 meatless balls but I didn't buy any. I may try them later if they still have them.

I did pick up a container of Go Veggie parmesan and it smells like the real thing. Tastes good but maybe less salty. I'll know more when I try it on something other than my finger tip.
For 99 cents, it's perfect.

I picked up a bag of frozen, organic cherries at Costco and they are really good.
Three pounds for 8.99....cheaper than the organic blueberries which I found surprising.

We seem to be going through a fair amount of Costco's pistachios. Nuts are their own food group in this house.

I bought a couple pints of So Delicious 'ice cream' for 1.99. It's not unusual to find it there but this erythritol sweetened variety is new.

I never buy the sugar sweetened pints but I have tasted them and they are good so I was pretty excited about this.
I would've stocked up but not enough room in the freezer.

I also bought a pint of Moo Nada which is agave sweetened. This brand does not disappoint.

jem--if you can find Enlightened, it is the best of the erythritol sweetened ice creams. Halo top is good, but enlightened is even better. regular dairy tho--

I've tasted Halo Top and it was delicious but it was cream and sadly, I can't eat it anymore.
I've never seen Enlightened.

Aldi has vegan hotdogs and "meatless" Italian sausage at $2.99 a pack! There are 5 hot dogs in a pack, and 4 sausages in a pack. I picked up one of each and they were quite good, as good as the really expensive stuff from Whole Foods. The hot dogs are 2 net carbs apiece, and the sausage 6 net carbs. I don't know if these are permanent additions to their product line or just a seasonal special.

Hey, PP. Nice to see you, it's been a while.

No Aldi near me but I'll keep it in mind for future reference.

My daughter works a WF so as least I know what to try when I visit.

I saw some 365 meatless balls at the Grocery Outlet but didn't get a chance to try them since I had a bagful of TJ's.....365's were gone in a flash.

I continue to be pleased that I can use these items and the Omni hub doesn't blink....yay.
