Howdy all! I'm back on Atkins after a while off, and go figure, I gained a bunch of weight back. Oh well, I'm back on track now. I treadmill every morning for 45 to 60 mins. I really don't mind it once I get started and it's a habit. So far for week one on induction I have lost 5 lbs. Yay! Makes me want to keep going!

Morning! Welcome to Trick Pony and thanks Kissa and LadyL!

Had a great couple of gym days. 20 on the treadmill at 1.5 incline and 2.5 speed, 20 on the bike at 2 resistance (better than the 1 I was skating on) and am increasing reps on the machines instead of bumping up the weight -- it's really been giving me a burn. (4 reps of 15)

Will only go back on the elliptical after another 20 more are gone. My hamstrings are not the forgiving type.

Good morning, TM Buddies! Okay, I am back from a well needed (mini) vacation to the Poconos in celebration of our 18th wedding anniversary! Got to get back to my exercising routine as I ate pizza, a cheesesteak sandwich, cake, etc. which was off my diet. LOL!

I haven't exercised since last week Friday, so I am way behind schedule. I came back to about 8 baby shower orders to fill and a change in my schedule for next week at work - so I have to readjust my plans for completing the orders and fitting in my workouts.

I will have to read these posts later, but needed to let my TM Buddies know that I am thinking about them. It's super busy on my end...

Will check in later...have a great day!

Sounds like this is a thread I need to visit often, as you all seem determined to make exercise a part of your programs. Good job to all of you..! I am happy to be sticking to my low carb eating routine since I started in early April, but I have yet to introduce any cardio into my daily routine...unless you count running from my office to the rest room 15 times a day due to all of the water I am drinking..! :-) I am down 27 (307 to 280) without any exercise. Imagine if I only worked out even just a little. Past experience tells me that as little as 30 minutes a day will make a huge difference. Ok, I'm gonna do it this evening. Will report back tomorrow.

Good morning -

Had another great day as far as eating the right things; however, was mentally drained when I got home from work, and DID NOT do the 30 minutes of cardio that I said I would do. Uggghh.....!

This week, my weight loss has started to slow down a bit. Need to stop talking about exercising, and start doing it. Today....!!!

Hope you all have a great day..!

Feeling a bit down so only did 10 minutes on the treadmill, 15 on the bike and some arm work with weights. Eating is going good, but I'm a bit hungry today. Probably some PMS at work. I'll just add some fruit today if it gets too overwhelming.

Up and rarin' to go!

Just finished 45 mins on the treadmill between 3 and 4 mph with inclines up tp 7! Now I'm awake! Off to feed Cowboys and cowgirls that are branding and vaccinating Cattle. Oh and lucky me, looks like showers are likely.

Hot Dog and Trick Pony!

Still healing...today was the first day I could walk up the stairs normally instead of one at a time. Very slow but getting better. I hope to get back to my at home PT exercises in a day or two. I had planned on it for last week but wasn't quite ready.

Hi there, Hot Dog and Trick Pony! Great progress, Linda. You'll get there. Nice walk, Cindy. I'll be doing some outdoors walking now (which I've discovered is totally different than treadmill walking) now that the weather is cooperating.

Today was a full hour of cardio and weights, 25 minutes on the treadmill (2.0 incline/2.5 speed), twenty on the bike and the full round of upper body weights. It was a great workout, I'm happy with it.

I'm getting stronger and more energetic by the day. Dunno what the scale is doing, but am slowly realizing (again) that it doesn't matter. I feel good, that's all that counts.

TIME TO WERK IT, PEEPS!

That Zumba sounds like fun, Cindy! Maybe I'll get a tape (or better, find a beginner class here in Brooklyn to give it a try. My gym is just machines, no classes, except for boxing, Tai Chi and a bike class.

I'm having crazy energy and strength this week. Today I went back in the elliptical for 7 minutes (I LOVE this machine, but it doesn't love me at this weight. However, I'm going to monitor my hamstring and if it's hurting again, I'll really lay off until I'm at 260.) Went straight to the bike on 3 Resistance/75 rtm for 15 minutes.

Did some machines, am watching twinges in my biceps and collar area. My thyroid disease leaves my tenders susceptible to tearing and I refuse to sabotage myself with an injury. Or at least a bad injury, LOL.

A great active day to all today. SWEAT IT OUT!

I will miss tomorrow's Zumba to meet a friend who lives in Hong Kong. I only see her once a year so it is totally worth it.

I plan to do a lot of walking central London though. Although I am only 5 miles from the centre we don't go in to 'town' very often.

Day off today from the gym. Will probably go for an evening walk or do Jane Fonda inside.

Wednesday was 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the bike. No weights and no elliptical as I got a hamstring twinge after 7 minutes on it and I'm not going there again, lol.

Have a great workout week, friends. SWEAT IT OUT!!!

Lady love, it would be so good to meet up when you are over. However I only spend half my time in London, the other half in Devon. PM me if it might be possible. I know when travelling time is precious, so I won't feel bad if you won't have time.

Just like you, I have a Zumba teacher who makes our classes the greatest fun, today she gave us an extra 10 minutes as we were all on such a high. Back in the day I loved step, but no one seems to teach that here any more.

So today I did my Zumba class and did a lot of walking, altogether 19,000 steps

Oh Kissa that would be absolutely fabulous if we could meet up... we'll see if our schedules can collide.

Today and yesterday was Zumba (I so love it !!! and the Teacher we've had all week has been a blast.

I'm taking off for the long weekend so, everyone have a good one and a safe one.

I'll report my exercises when I get back (because I'll definitely get it in with all the walking expected).

Anyone working out this lovely weekend? I did a rare Sunday hour of cardio and weights, might get in a walk before the bad weather rolls in.

Happy Memorial Day to those who celebrate. WERK IT!

I think I'm finally ready to get started with exercise again. My knee and foot feel good. I'm going to start tomorrow morning....keeping it slow and gentle to start. I want to see how my indoor pedaling goes so that I can get back to outdoor biking soon.
