Wow! The board is HOT, HOT, HOT!!! Veronica and bitsnpieces! I always say, there's room for more...looking forward to more of your posts!

Great work, TM Buddies! Linda, you're doing just fine...keep it up. Kind, glad you're back and feeling better - good job!

Wednesdays are my rest days, although I did do my shower "stretchercises" - so I guess that can count! This morning, I missed my normal walking time as I had to work on a project here at home...I plan to go downstairs on the TM within the hour.

Ladylove - I know you must have fun with your Zumba class - seen it done on TV - lots of moving!

Will log back in later!

I had an interesting day. I went to my favourite Body Conditioning class, only to get there 1/2 hour after it had started... I got the time wrong, old age, lol.

But instead of coming home which I would normally do, you ladies inspired me.

SO I got on the treadmill and walked for 50 minutes. All our machines are in Kilometre so I won't enter the distances but I felt really glad that I had done something. New year, new me!

Well, alright, Cindy!!!! Good for you!!! I just got off the TM, I walked at 4.0 incline (trying to be careful because I believe the incline has something to do with the soreness in my back), 35:01 mins, 2.21 miles and 3.07 cals.

I do know that the more incline, the more cals. are burned. I am getting ready to shower stretchercises - just in case.

Good job, Cindy - you inspire me all of us as well!!!

Have a good day, TM Buddies!

Yesterday I did my 25 minutes and 6 miles on the recumbent bike and 6 minutes on the treadmill.

For now I'm working on time on the treadmill rather than speed or intensity. Once I get the time better I'll increase speed and add incline here and there. I will eventually get back to my former abilities on the treadmill!

As for my basement biking, it's going great! Biking has always been the best, fastest way for me to improve fitness. Starting on Monday I'm going to add more resistance to the pedaling which will mean a probably drop in distance but hopefully I can still continue with the length of time I pedal. Once I feel ready, I will also set up my outdoor bike on a training stand and start working on that in addition or alternating with the recumbent bike.

Next month my plan is to add kettlebells to my fitness routines. I have some other ideas, too....will add a little at a time as I'm able to do. I'm being very careful about not overdoing it so I don't have a set back!

Sara,
with your fit bit. do you see that when we drive car.Or seting in car{Moving. that it still counts the walking as walking. that is not really true. That is one thing i dont like about it.
is 50-54 resting. is that ok?
Do u know the rate we should be in when exericing?[walking or joging.110-135?]to burn fat/

I do not use mine until I actually get to work. I hadn't thought about it counting if I was driving or not. But as long as I do 10,000 steps daily if it does count those incidental ones I am okay with it. I just do my usual on the treadmill. I figure it is better than being a couch potato. LOL

Yesterday I bumped up the resistance level on my recumbent bike....still got my 6 miles and it only took a minute longer. I expected it to take longer than that so I was quite happy with my time and distance!

I'll be doing today's exercise later today....

Hey, TM Buddies1 You are all doing so well. Saturday was a rest day for me.

Sun., 1/17 - 36 mins, 2.14 miles, 313 cals. (combo with manual walk and certified personal trainer program)

Mon., 1/18 - sick - no workout (rest)
Tues., 1/19 - sick - no workout (rest)

Sunday evening, hubby took me to emergency - bad stomach cramping and I was put on morphine. My tests came back excellent, exception of gas buildup in my intestines. I am still having pains, but not as severe. I am drinking tea with lemon and eating toast. soup and plenty of water as well. Anything else may start irritation. I ate some kielbasa sausage with hints of hot red peppers on Sunday morning which I feel was the culprit. Not sure though.

Will check back to see how you buddies are coming along. I hope to be back on the mend real soon so I could start my workout again. For now, I'm resting.

Have a great day!

I skipped walking yesterday but hopped right back on this morning. I walked my usual 2 miles. I have been in class most of the day so I probably will not hit 10,000 steps today.

Del that is horrid, there is something awful about stomach pain. I hope you heal quickly.

I haven't managed any serious exercise lately. but as from Wednesday I hope to be doing better.

Thanks for all the well wishes! My tummy still aches...I did manage to walk 20 mins, 1.25 miles, 168 cals. today.

I am hoping that I will get back to where I need to be. Not sure if I'd be walking tomorrow. I'm taking each day at a time. Drinking plenty of water, ginger ale and tea with lemon.

I missed a couple of days biking this past week. Night before last I got a little over 6 miles in 25 minutes on my recumbent bike. I also did 25 minutes and 6.26 miles this morning. I bumped up the resistance on the bike to level 5 today. I'll do the same tomorrow. On Monday I'm planning to bump to 30 minutes.
