Tami... I love you siggie line, makes me smile, and it is so true.

I did a Zumba class this morning. We had a stand in instructor and she was really great.

Good work everyone.

Walked 45min. burning 342 calories and going 2.37 miles. My legs feel better today. It was mainly my calves. They didn't like the running. I think I had been over doing the working out. I was walking/running on the TM 6 days a week with running the majority of the time. I forget I'm 38 and not 25 (although I am in better shape at 38 than I was at 25) and that my body needs time to adjust and heal. Have a great day everyone!!

Thanks! It's good to be back....it's been a very challenging few years and will continue to be challenging but I sometimes feel like the old me is in there somewhere and waiting to bust out! My husband will set up my outdoor bike on the training stand soon and then I'm on my way to getting ready for outdoor biking. Not sure I'll ever be able to do like I did before all my health problems but I'll do my best!

Did my PT exercises this morning and am heading to the basement in a few minutes to do my pedaling.

Hey, TM Buddies! Everyone's doing great! Keep it up! WOO HOO!!! Linda, you'll be back very close to your former self as you gain more strength - because you are doing your best! We are so happy for you and proud of you. You are very encouraging because you never give up - that's so motivating! Thank you for that!

Yesterday was my rest day, but I was doing housework in prep for Sunday's Super Bowl Party. That's enough calorie burning within itself.

This morning, I walked 35:12 mins, 2.05 miles, 341 cals. at 3.5 mph/6.0 incline. Changed up a little - walked slightly slower and added more incline which I can feel.

Getting ready to complete two diaper cake orders and ship them out, then back to more cleaning - today is thorough kitchen organization and the family room downstairs. I want to walk again later, depending upon how much I get accomplished with the house cleaning. We will see.

Have a great day everyone!

Had my first PT session....she gave me more home exercises to do and we did several exercises during the hour I was there. I'll be adding some treadmill time, too...she said to do 10 minutes for now. I also did my basement biking for 30 minutes on level 6...7.25 miles. Felt good to be moving again. I think this will also help my sleep which has been lacking since my surgery a little over a year ago.

It looks like everyone is doing well with the exercise today.
I walked 45min. going 2.4 miles burning 345 calories. I haven't been feeling well this week. I'm coming off birth control pills. I have been on them since I was 19 when I got married and of course got off of them to have 2 kids. I have been off them since this past Sunday and have been feeling nauseous, cramping, depressed, and panicky. I sure hope this doesn't last. I don't feel myself and I don't like it at all. Everyday I am pushing through. Has anyone else gone off the pill and had these symptoms? I am eating, but its hard when I feel sick. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Tami, feel better... - good job on your workout even though you're not feeling well. I haven't been on the pill for years now and when I had to go off of them, I don't remember going through those symptoms. Big !

Good afternoon, TM Buddies! You ladies are doing terrific!!!

Today, I walked 35 mins. @ 3.7 mph, 2.15 miles, 328 cals. I had to lower the incline back to 5.0 and the speed down to 3.7 mph (instead of 3.8) since after yesterday's walk, I started feeling a little pain in the lower back...

Getting ready for the big Super Bowl party here. Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning...I should count that in my workout!

Have a nice day and weekend everyone!

Yesterday I did all my PT exercises plus 10 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the recumbent bike....I'm so sore! LOL! I expected it and it will go away in a few days. Those PT exercises are tiny moves but they sure work!

Today so far I've done 10 minutes of pedaling on the outdoor bike that's set up on a training stand. First time a couple of years that I've been on an outdoor bike! Loved it! I'm not tracking intensity and miles...just time. I have to work up to sitting on the bike so I'm ready for outdoor biking. I'll be doing the rest of my exercises tonight.

I have slacked off last week. I did walk my usual 2 miles on Wednesday, got over 10,000 steps at work on Thursday so I skipped the TM and I did 2 miles of Friday. Skipped Saturday and Sunday but will do 2 miles tonight.

Hey, TM Buddies! I had a super busy weekend in prep for our Super Bowl party! It was a hit and I ate lots of food. I was so tired that yesterday I laid around most of the day. So, this morning, I was able to walk 40:01 mins, 2.15 miles, 333 cals. I walked a little slower today as well, but I got it in. Still a little lazy from all of the work that I did last week and weekend. Putting the house back together little by little - so, I've been walking up and down the steps from downstairs and upstairs over and over again. I guess that counts too!

Keep up the great work everyone!

I've been keeping up with my PT exercises and basement biking/treadmill. More at home exercises were added at my last session.

I've discussed the basement biking and treadmill with the therapist and she said to do what I can...left it up to me to advance when I'm ready.

Awesome, Linda. That's such a good idea to talk it over with your therapist - you did the right thing; never want to jump ahead of her by overdoing exercises. It truly does take time, but you are doing an excellent job!

Here's my stats:

Weds, 2/10 - rest day
Thurs, 2/11 - 45:01 mins, 2.59 miles, 400 cals.

Have a good day, TM Buddies!

Still doing my PT exercises...basement biking and treadmill as much as I can. I missed parts of them a couple of times due to fatigue but I'm at least doing them most of the time.

Thank you but she is actually a cat. Her name is Scarlett No'Haira and she is a Sphynx.
I did 42:01 minutes tonight at 3.7 MPH and walked 2.51 miles for a total of 230 cals burned.
I walked 2 miles on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and Saturday. I am trying to push a little more but it seems to be getting harder.

WOE: Atkins - 2 shakes per day/lc meal
Start Date: November 16, 2001
Hey, TM Buddies! No workouts over the last few days - rested. This morning, had to take care of a couple of errands early this morning. I am thinking of either walking later or doing a dance DVD with Shaun T that I haven't used in quite a while to change up my routine.

Cindy, yes, enjoy every moment with your daughter - that's precious! Sara, I am a lover of cats - that's a beautiful one that you have there! I was watching CATS 101 one day and learned so much about the Sphynx - cats are mysterious by nature, but that breed really sets the stage for mystery! I love it!

Everyone's doing a great job, though. Keep up the good work!

Did my treadmill and both bikes yesterday as well as most of the PT exercises. I missed a few because it was a busy day.

PT today included most of the PT exercises I've been doing at home as well as one new one. Treadmill time at PT was good....she increased the speed and added a little incline. I'm to do the same here at home daily.
