, it's September? How can that be, it was just April a few days ago!

Guess falls signs are everywhere, the pecans we wish we didn't have are dropping all over the constant messy patio. I never ever got it all done up with flowers in the pots, etc, this spring, just didn't feel like it. Hoping that I will get it done next spring with feeling much better.

So glad Brett got chased, and hope it continues. I talked to DS who is going on 2 years since split with his wife, he has no interest in dating yet. That is good but he is 39, hope he doesn't spend the rest of his life alone. He throws all his energy into Ollie and work.

I missed my acupuncture appt yesterday. Left my house in plenty of time, their office is about 10 miles from me via I35. I35 is under Major construction in our area, very badly needed, it is so heavily traveled, but, 2-3 lanes only with close concrete barriers on each side to keep people away from construction. When there is a wreck, even a fender bender, it stalls traffic terribly. So, what should have taken 15 minutes turned into almost an hour. Rescheduled to tomorrow. I don't understand how acupuncture works and it is very subtle but it is helping my leg. I have her put needles in for weight loss too but see no change in appetite, cravings, etc.

Big weekend coming up for many, no plans for us but might find something to do or go to.

Buffy, acupuncture is such a gentle healing process.. I love it. I think it clears away junk that inhibits healing..

Oh, we are taking Brett and Sarah out to dinner in Tulsa Sunday night. We might hit Matthis brothers to look around for furniture for our living room. Our set is 35 years old. Lolol

Well, the Friday group will meet here tomorrow instead of next week.. So I don't have to freeze the Aldis coffee cake!! God works in mysterious ways.

Getting my orthotics measured this afternoon.. Since I didn't take but one day of anti-inflammatories, I hope he won't yell at me.

God appreciates your feeding His people the Aldi coffee cake. LOL

Hope nobody yelled at you for not taking anti-inflammatories.

Buffy I'm so glad you're feeling better. I have hated not hearing from you.

My SS gets "dry needled" from her cracker packer. Is that like acupuncture?
She loves it.

Biggest one I've ever felt in Oklahoma.
Not as big as the one I felt in California.

Any damage for you, Carolyn?

They said 5.6 magnitude out of Pawnee, OK.

No damage, but it was the biggest and longest one here. My Des Moines felt it for only 5 minutes.

Had breakfast out. No food until dinner.

Earthquake! That was a pretty big one. You can't convince me that fracking isn't the cause of some of these. And these sinkholes we read about?
Beautiful, sunny day here. Pecan are falling, fall is approaching. It was nice enough that DH and I had a drink on the patio last night, well, 2 drinks , then we grilled steaks. Kept it LC despite the 2 drinks. Broccoli as a side.
Told DH I would love to go camping again, he said YES!, if we ever win the lottery, I want to buy a big motor home . I told him I didn't think we could even handle a big motor home, I am thinking just a small camper by the streams of Colorado . Sandy, I told him about how you guys were retiring and having a great time, doing it all up right
I have done much better this week on keeping my carbs down, not trying to go super duper low but no sugar or cake, or pies, or cookies, or candy, or, darn sounds depressing . Wish I liked to experiment in the kitchen like i used to but that urge has passed.
Kids are all soooo busy, which is good. I am going to keep Bobby and Ava next Friday after school, and all night. DSIL is going to surprise DD with an outing. That will be busy and fun. Grant is so busy that I don't get to see him much at all, he drives now so I'm not even called for taxi duty but every so often he calls and we go grab dinner. After marching band season he won't be quite as busy.
I got some Claritin Carolyn, so do I just take it daily if needed for allergies and if not, just take 1 daily for a flare up of the uti symptoms? Right now I am on zrtec daily for fall allergies.

Well, we've been fracking for more than 35 years, so....
Did we have earthquakes before we had fracking?

I think, Buffy, you might be one of those people better served by NOT going super low carb. Eating real food seems like it would benefit anybody and everybody. But maybe you're the person who does better with a few more carbs.

I am still loving experimenting in the kitchen here and there. I have the "can't stop saving and printing recipes" sickness. I've got it a little more under control, but I really really like trying new recipes.

Did I tell you all I made Jody's Pumpkin Bake already? Made it last week at the lake. I gave a couple of servings to my SS and we've been picking at the rest. Also topped it with Carolyn's crumble topping. WOW it is good.
I love pumpkin.

Buffy does Grant eat kind of low carb?
That will be so much fun to have Bobby and Ava.

Hi...

Buffy, Zyrtec is the same as Claritin..So just take one. I take C for my bladder condition and my allergies. I think my "shots" will arrive this week at my Independence doctor's office, so
need to set up an appointment. It took almost 4 weeks..

Went to Tulsa and ordered some living room furniture at Bassett's. Great help there. Ours was 38 years old..time for a change...LOL..

We had dinner with Brett and Sarah at Villa Ravennas..It was very nice Italian as Judy knows.

The earthquake was about 67 miles from us..closer to Judy, of course.

Dying my hair....

Still at 158! Eek..Vacation weight likes to stick on me plus I haven't totally been perfect in my plan and haven't hit the gym as my Plantar is acting up..No excuses, though..LOL.

We went to our neighbor's 86th birthday party then had dinner with DD, DSIL and Maddox.
We kept hearing about the Freeway Cafe at the neighbor's party.

The Freeway Cafe at 4th and Sheridan is someplace none of us has ever heard of. It was incredible.
Chicken fried steak was had by 2 of us, a hamburger that was topped with an egg and thick bacon (bun removed) and liver and onions for Bowe. The sides are everything you can think of.
Everything tasted completely homemade and was very moderately priced - all under$10.
Great service. Like an old diner but crazy good.
I'm sure I gained 5 pounds.

Hope you all have a great day today.

Oh dear, I love good diners, homemade food! Grant and I have a favorite that we go to. You can do LC there but it is tempting not to.
Grant watches carbs somewhat. Minis dr. Doesn't want to have him be too strict or as a teen, he could rebel and really get off track, and with going away to college. He takes the insulin to cover what he eats. But, he is pretty good in the choices he makes.
Carolyn, exciting to be getting new furniture, our sofa is like new and the love seat is shot. Need to get that replaced.
Cindy, I slept thru it too although some people here say they felt it.
DD #3 and I just trying to make LC choices. She doesn't have time to log and I don't want to.
Pretty day, got my little walk in. Off to shower.
Hi Debbie and Sandy!

Judy, I'll share that with Brett..

Sarah likes McKinnons or something like that..Irish pub downtown.

We had our furniture sprayed..so hope it keeps the dirt away..Now, I wonder if I have
to repaint the walls..The answer is probably.

If Grant can control his blood sugar nicely, then that is a good thing. I think young people
can get away with more carbs than older folks. (That's what Dr. Westman said..).

Keep cool ladies..I'm sure the lake is lovely right now.

You might not want to mention that cafe. It would be pretty difficult to make LC choices there. But hey, breakfast served all day!
Everything I liked was high carb.
I took a small pinch of the rolls they brought.
Like communion-sized pinch. It was that sweet buttery yeast dough dinner roll my grandmother used to make. I didn't eat more but it brought back delicious roly poly memories. LOL

Kilkenny's. Awesomely bad for you and incredibly delicious.

Too late..It was mentioned..

Well, I was sitting at the computer and Gary mentioned..You missed a big spot with your hair dye..Hmm..Luckily, I hadn't thrown the whole thing down the drain, which I usually do..
And I put the cream rinse in with the developer..NO COLOR..So I added color to the rest of
mess, reapplied..We shall see..

Happy labor day all. Pooter is doing poorly and we will be making a decision this week. We are pretty sure she has had a few small stokes.

I know this isn't a surprise, but it is an awful thing to contemplate and go through.
So glad you all have each other.
If you're like my DH and me, we wondered what we talked about before we had to let our older pug go. And of course you'll have that freedom to come and go without considering your assuming pet. Wonderful and terrible.

Carolyn what happened after you fixed your hair??? I'm dying to know!!

Hugs and love to you, Cindy. Such a hard time, but Pooter lived longer than most kitties cuz she was pampered and loved so much.

Judy, my hair turned out fine. The big round grey spot in the back colored right up.

Another hot one. I have Neewollah ticket training at 6. A group of us ladies run the store, sell tickets. But we have to be re-trained each year. Duh!

Wow, I really fell behind while I was out having fun!! But it sure was fun to catch up. Buffy, I'm thrilled that you're back!!! I really missed your smiling posts around here.

Great, I'm coming to OK later this month for my sister's 60th birthday party and now I have two new places to think about eating at and they both sound totally awesome and totally bad for my weight. Between shingles meds and too much fun camping I've put on about half of the weight I lost last year. And this month is going to be very bad for me all the way around. I'm going to Mexico with my girlfriends next Monday for 4 days. I get home late Thursday and then get up early Friday to head to OK for the weekend. Then back home just in time for dinner theater. Food, drinks, food and more food!! Ugh!! I truly need Slimming in September!!!

I'm so happy for Brett and Sarah!! It's really sounding serious!! And best of luck to Beth with her new job!

Cindy, I'm so sorry about Pooter. My heart goes out to you so much. It's so hard to lose a beloved member of the family. And that's what our fur babies are, that's for sure!

Well I haven't shared this info here in the hopes that a miracle would happen and I'd never have to share it anywhere. My oldest grandson and his wife are divorcing. It's actually going to be final tomorrow. My heart just breaks especially for their 2 precious babies. I know kids survive divorce all the time but I know it's not easy. Thank goodness everybody is there to do whatever is needed for the little ones through all of this. Prayers for all of them is much appreciated.

Hi Sandy!!

Gosh, just go have a good time!!! So very sorry to hear of your grandson's divorce... Was she the nurse? They have two adorable boys? But, sometimes couples so reconcile after a while. My hairdresser remarried her first Dh. Praying for the boys that they will adjust..

Yes, it is exciting for Brett/Sarah, but want to make sure they are right for each other.

Judy and I know more good places to eat in Tulsa. Great pizza at Andolinis.

Oh Carolyn... Andolini's for sure.
Lolling about you ticket people needing to be retrained every year.
I hope Beth likes her new job and finds some friends there.

Sandy I'm sorry to hear about the divorce.
Praying for wisdom for the parents and for great care for their little ones.

Carolyn's right. Just have fun.
You can starve later!

Sad for Cindy.

So sorry about Pooter, we will miss your posts about her

Sandy, so sorry to hear about the divorce, these are the parents of the cute little boys? So sad, it hits home with me, I hurt so for my son as he works toward moving forward.

Judy, now I want to eat at that diner, thank heavens it isn't near me.

Sandy, I envy you the fun life you are leading, enjoy every minute and try not to worry too much about the weight.

Doing ok with my LC, gets easier each day. Never believe what I was craving tonight, radishes! can't wait to get groceries tomorrow.

Read this on FB and it really works. Clean and dry your celery, radishes, lettuce and store wrapped in foil. Never have heard of this and it works great. Keeps them fresh and crisp. I never could keep celery before.

Carolyn, your hair dye story made me chuckle. Thank heavens Gary told you, lol

Isn't that the funniest thing?? It's a diner with lots of fried, carby food.
I almost talked Bowe into eating there last night! Ha ha! I had fasted until 6:30 pm.
I'm so glad he hesitated. We have PLENTY of good food here and I can still look forward to going another time. Sheesh I am food obsessed.

Not radish obsessed but definitely otherwise!

It will be hot today again. I'm ready for a cool down.

Thanks for the prayers everybody. No this is not the nurse. The nurse is my granddaughter. She's the one who got back with her boyfriend who was not very understanding of her having so little time for him while she was in college. I'm so very sorry to say I encouraged her to give him another chance, because I knew she wasn't over him. Well, we all thought that was going great! Really great. Then one weekend he broke up with her. By text!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That sure showed us his real character! She was heartbroken. It was right before Christmas too. Ugh. I'm so glad I don't have to live through my own younger years again, but it's sure painful to watch the ones you love living through theirs.

I'm really going to try really hard to FAST well the rest of this week and at least hopefully lose this bloating stomach!!!
