I always have high fat when I first start stills and sometimes after a weekend off it seems to make the transition easier!

I need to add fats in periodically. I can get too lethargic if I cut it low for too long. So I just use semi- lean meats like I drop to 80/20 beef inconjunction with my lean Stuff. That way I can keep up with my workouts. Gotta do whatever works best for you.

Popping in to say hello. I love the butterfly analogy.
I diet through the holidays. I take a few days off here and there but if I didn't actively "try " to stay on a plan I would easily gain 25 lbs from Thanksgiving till the new year.

In SW Florida there's no hiding in a coat... the most I get to look forward to I long pants and a sweater.

Lamb might be ok for you. You had meat and I think that's what really counts!

Felt good this morning. Scale down some more. Meal prepped last night and had Zumba so I'm getting back into the groove.

Ugh I love fatty meats haha. Chicken and fish are torture to me so I have to eat other meats most of the time. Chicken is normally for one meal daily but my other meals in the day have to be another meat.

It seems like my life has taken on a life of its own! : ) I have been so busy lately that I feel like I'm just a robot going from task to task. But things are settling down now, so that is good! I've been on plan, but am losing the gain from being sick. I've just started walking again. Sigh - I had hoped to be much stronger by this time! I go to Italy in a few weeks! Yikes!

I know what that's like, I work 2 jobs and always have something to do on days I don't work. On the plus sde the routine makes it easier to stay on plan, as long as a prep. If I don't prep I fall off right away because I just don't have time.

How many day until your trip?

Happy Thursday!
151.2 lbs . I feel bloated from TOM and I was surprised to see a lower number . Because I was not good last night . I looked up a low carb recipe for cod and I chose the one with cheese . It hit the spot. My cravings are over for now . ( I hope )

Tonight is strip steak. No cheese

Kal, if you have recipes for steaks
Please , share thank you ! I have a rib eye and a strip steak .

Mar, You are a lucky gal. I couldn't trust myself around 2 squares of chocolate . Last Halloween , I made sure to give extra to the Lil ones and their parents ,so nothing was left for me .

Whatsagirltodo, I dropped the cheese into my mouth , I laugh but I really need self control. I hope you enjoyed your lamb burgers .

Leanne, Good to see you ! I did on and off diet days during the holidays too . I also give leftovers to family & friends I sweet potato casserole with those mini marshmallows on top . I make a smaller casserole now . It's the drinks I cannot give away so a cocktail here and there . It will be my first time staying on LCF for accountability and struggles.

Busy day going to hang up my new window scarf and yes more cleaning & laundry . I remember the days when the kids were little I had an excuse, blame them

For beef and steaks I just like it the simple way of a pinch of salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Nothing fancy. I just like beef a ton. Chicken only was rough when I tried it but I could easily do beef only haha.

Oh, mim how are you feeling with that bronchitis ? Just think of Bella Roma ! Walking is the best exercise and visiting Italy with its wonderful art and history . While I was visiting Rome, I went to their pharmacy it's seems they are everywhere. I bought Fastum Anti Dolorifico, that cream helped my knee pain from walking up and down stairs . The pharmacist was very helpful , took one look at my swollen knee and said this will help and it did . That product is not over the counter here unfortunately

Rest up and sleep on the plane the time difference throws you off the first few days .

Kal, thank you ! I love my Mediterranean Sea salt . I love it too much! I have to go easy because of my high blood pressure . I will season it with Cayenne pepper so I don't over indulge with the salt .

I don't like a lot of salt because I retain a lot of water. Let me know how it goes for you whenever you get around to trying it.

No you won't need to play catch up. I'm already off to a slow start and I just got back on. I was hoping to get a big drop to start off but that will happen eventually I hope

Hi everyone, I want to join in on your Stillman success. I did a couple of rounds and had a good outcome and lost a few, however my problem is I have trouble with adding little things in I should not have like half and half, a tablespoon of mayo here and there, etc. You know what I mean. I bet I could do a lot better if I did it totally clean, and I'm trying to now. Today I had fat free half and half, canned chicken, egg whites, and Greek yogurt. I am pretty much at my goal weight however keep creeping to the edge of my range. I think in my head I just wish I could lose a little extra for insurance. I'm going on a trip to San Diego next month and I keep thinking I'd love to have some more leeway for indulgences.

If you do strict QWL you will definitely have room for indulgences

Your progess is awesome ! I hope to reach the 120's eventually !

I am older so it is slow moving the scale down , I just keep at it and most important I always jump back on plan after I indulge.

Good luck on your weightloss journey!

Kal, the cayenne pepper gave it a nice kick .

Tomorrow is either cod or shrimp cocktail .

Today I went clothes shopping. I tried on jeans a size 6 petite, they fit! and a flannel shirt a juniors large that's impressive to me I bought them both and feel good about myself finally.
Thank you ! Thank you ! Stillmans !

You have done great and doing strict stills before your trip should definitly give you some wiggle room!

I had a late night and just have my chicken in the oven now. I had chicken for dinner tonight when I ate out and it was so salty! I will probBly be up tomorrow due to the salt but I am going to try to remember it's just salt and not real weight gain. Tomorrow is am all chicken day, after testing with other meats chicken is gonna be boring haha

Thanks for the welcome! I've been at the weight loss thing forever, as I'm sure many of us have. I was in the 120's for several years but then my thyroid tanked and I got up to 144 a couple of years ago. Once I got on meds I was able to get down to 132, but doing the potato hack and then eventually finding Stillman's helped me get into the 120's.

It does get harder and harder to lose though... my usual average is 1 lb a week although one week on Stillman's I lost 3.6 lbs (was probably weekend bloat as well).

Anyway, nice to meet you!

By the way I love your name! Get it, "still" the one. LOL. Yes that's what I need to do too, not let things get too out of control. A couple of weeks back I allowed myself to do two back to back days of "controlled cheating" and it was too much. It took about a week to get back where I wanted to be.

1lb down again today thankfully. Yesterday was hard as I was at home all day and couldn't stop thinking about food. Had a sausage roll incident, ate a bite without even thinking. Thankfully I realised before I ate the rest. Today's food will be homemade turkey burgers, eggs and ham. Have a good Friday everyone

Thanks! Great to meet you! I do very well being strict when I feel desperate, like when I step on the scale and go "uh oh." After a few days of that I seem to relax when the weight begins to come down and that's when the little add-ins start to happen but I'm going to try and be more strict this time!

Yesterday was a good day, I woke up down 1.2 lbs. I wasn't as low in calories as I wanted to be though (1100). I always want to eat at night, like 6-10pm is my hardest time! I usually fast til noon and then for lunch I had a can of canned chicken and a Greek yogurt, dinner was 1 whole egg with 8 egg whites and another yogurt. Then before bed I had another egg and 5 egg whites.

I like to use sugar free ketchup which I'm trying to cut back on and also I chew A LOT of sugarless gum. I know that isn't allowed but my mouth gets to tasting terrible. LOL. I will try to cut back on the gum. I only drink coffee and water and no AS. I am wondering if I'm eating too much protein though? Yesterday I ended up with 190 grams of protein, 53 carbs and 15 grams of fat.

How much protein are you guys eating in a day?
