I made it through Halloween without eating any candy. A first in many many many years. Oddly I am not even tempted. I am sure with some strength from above.

My lovely wife turned back lots of store grade candy from the neighbor. We have a stash of Lindt truffle balls I am not even tempted to get into.
Nov may be my last whole month of fasting. I lose another 30 lbs and I'll hit my lowest possible weight I think. But in 4 days I managed to gain 5lbs by get this - only eating 1 ~2200 calorie meal.
Friday morning I was 177, Now 182. I drank lots of water, almost 2 gal a day, some butter in tea, about 1 tbsp total. And 1 Chinese buffet meal today, 30 gm carb max, squid, fish, mussels, shrimp, jumbo shrimp and a tiny bit of chicken and some veggies almost by accident.

I am probably retaining 3gal water now. Have to try in the morning again, but I also drink water through the night. Grrrr

Went to the store today and am ready for day 1 - November 1st! Hoping to jump start this weight loss and FINALLY get somewhere! Fingers crossed for 15 pounds by Thanksgiving! Thanks for letting me join

Down a pound today. I have officially lost 10 pounds.

I do the same. One meal off and I gain several pounds that takes days to get off. Definitely one of the cons of Stillman.

Yeah, Bratty! Well done on not eating the candy! And for losing 10 pounds! My goal for the month is 10 pounds.

Siranth - speaking of wanting to lose 10 lbs this month - I will have 4 events this month that will be off plan. I just try to do my best and to remember that most of the time, a gain is just water. It is hard to eat Chinese and not gain!

joanne - happy first day! Hang out here for support. The first few days are sometimes really hard.

Happy Tuesday and Happy November 1st .
I have been very bad as far as diet goes, in all fairness I did have lots of fun !
Tomorrow it's back on the Stillmans wagon. I bought cod for starts, maybe I can do a week of low fat.

My goal is to lose 10lbs this month.

It's funny you mentioned Chinese food mim , my friend and I will be enjoying some tonight before we go back on plan . My friend is following dukan .

I need QWL I wish I stayed out of the candy dish

My goal is only 5 pounds. I can do that if I don'f fall off the wagon completely. I lost 10 in a week so I imagine that will slow down. I also have several away from home meals and thanksgiving this month. I doubt strict Stillmans is going to be pulled off but I will have as many days in there as possible and the rest as low carb as the occasion allows.

Yay! New months mean new beginnings! I am ready to rock this month!

I also have 4 events I have to go to and all 4 of them revolve around food. I will do the best I can but I am not in charge of the menus at any of them so I will just have to be strict the rest of the time.

I had the craziest day! My oldest stayed home from school with a stomach bug, then my son poked my second daughter in the eye which resulted in me waiting 4 hours for a call back from the doctor who told me to take her to the ER! I just got back from that and dropping off her prescription for eyedrops for an abrasion on her eyeball.... YUCK. Poor thing.

Thankfully , I have stayed on track and everything It was hard staying away from the Halloween candy because I was stressed, but I have a goal, so I've been sticking to it! I have been pretty hungry this afternoon, so I will be happy when the ravenous hunger goes away. Great day other than the weirdness with my kids!

Ahh kids can always destroy the best made plans. I hope both of them recover quickly. Good job staying out of the candy and on plan!

I guess I should confess that it is usually me that is going to the ER... not the kids. hahaha

Oh my, joanne! What a day you had. Aren't you glad today is a new day!

Bratty - I'm down another pound too, and feel the same way you do. No off plan food sounds tempting. I have a lunch date tomorrow, and possibly a dinner date. I've checked the menu at the restaurant for lunch and will have a salad with salmon. If there is to be dinner tomorrow, I won't know until I get there what restaurant. But I'll choose wisely.

I was just checking my chart, and I lost a whopping 1 pound in October. I think that is pretty fantastic considering that I spent two weeks in Italy! I've lost a pound this month already.

Today is much calmer so far. Not as ravenously hungry today, so that is a big help! I lost 2.1 pounds yesterday! Unfortunately I had upped my carbs on Sunday and Monday so I started at 220 yesterday (unlike what my stats said), so I'm 218 still, but hey... never been able to lose a weekend of water weight gain in a day before so that's something! Looking forward to seeing another loss on the scale tomorrow!

That is so wonderful. My friend gained 10 in 2 weeks. She really enjoyed the food there. It sounds like walking is doing great for you.

I ate and ate in Italy. Lots of carbs! But I walked and walked, as well. And yes Bratty, the gelato is worth the plane trip! : )

Down .8 today. Today I have lunch out with my Bible study group. I think I am going to try and keep it as close to Stillman as possible. It is rare that my body responds this good to Stillman. I am losing quickly and I have no desire to eat. Sure there are things I would like to eat but I love carbs. What is different is I do not NEED them. No cravings... I do not want to end that with one meal.

I will let you know how that goes later!

I am back in my 14 pants.

Day 2 went great... I'm down another 2.1 pounds today! 216 is a big milestone for me to get back to, for one its my 10 pound mark since I started trying again 6.5 weeks ago, and for two it's less than I weighed 7 years ago when I married my husband! I was not as hungry yesterday, but it still wasn't easy, hoping that is something that will continually lessen over the next few days. Yesterday was a little bit more of a mental battle because there were lots of temptations, but I made it through! Hopefully I can be successful this weekend because my oldest has her birthday tomorrow and party on Saturday!

Did you have any of the warm gelato? It was like whip cream. I only had it once so I don't know if it was common?

Yay on size 14! I find that just as motivating as weight loss!

That's awesome! It's always great hitting new lows!

You will start to be less hungry, it's great when that happens. .just have lots of food prepped for her party so you can snack on stills food if you feel tempted!

I have been doing well! I am trying to eat dukan this week because 3 of my 4 meals off pla are this week so I don't want to see a big jump after them. I am kind of wanting to go back to 100% stills for the simplicity of it but dukan works better for me if I go off plan (as long as I get back on).

My trip is in 6 weeks! And I am at the same place I was when planning it. Kind of kicking myself for October and not trying for most of the money.
