Can't believe it's December already, the panic has set in! Must kick christmas planning into high gear! lol.

Hoping to stay strong this month. Would love to be in the low 70's by January.

Days diet pop free - 4 - this is amazing to me, never thought I'd manage but surprisingly it hasn't been too bad

Welcome to December everyone!

December goals

Maintain weight (not go above 235)
Possibly sneak into the 220's by the end of the month
Maintain, track and hold myself accountable

11/30 233.6 D salmon, shrimp, broccoli dst - small oreo gelato
12/1 231.8

So the plan:
Mon - morning, afternoon fast, low carb dinner
Tues - B L D - low-carb
Wed - morning, afternoon fast, low carb dinner
Thur - B L D - low-carb
Fri - B, L low-carb - D - possible carby meal
Sat - morning, afternoon fast - possible carby dinner
Sun - B, L low-carb - D - possible carby meal
(fri and sat may switch situationally)

Keep carb portion sizes low, occasional treats allowed
Avoid casual carbs

This is kind of based on every-other-day fasting and my normal response to eating something carby by accident on diet which is to not eat much the next day.

Also - does anyone object to my still keeping track of what I eat here?
I mean, usually it has been a source for decent menu ideason a low-carb diet. But now if it will include carby treats, I don't want to upset anyone who is holding strict and still having trouble losing. But on the other hand, it might help someone you is approaching the scary rerve-racking concept of maintenance.

Sounds like a lot of us are going to have a bit of a difficult month but I'm hear to say "We can do this!" Even if we just maintain and not gain we are doing awesome.

Kit - I think of myself in temporary maintenance - sort of a hiatus of the pure low carb lifestyle. I'm not where I want to be in terms of weight (I would really like to hit that 100 pounds mark but that's completely arbitrary. I am much happier with my health now than I was in January!

Maybe this is maintenance and maybe it isn't - either way, I know I'm gonna attack it with a plan rather than just letting it go like I did last time. I worked too hard losing all that weight for me to just go back to my previous eating habits.

Thought I had posted yesterday but must have forgot. Not much change in weight but I expected that.

A little non-scale victory to share. When I started I was wearing size 24 and yesterday I tried a size 14 jeans and they fit So excited to be on the verge of regular sizes!

Well, I've officially hit 40 lbs lost today

I guess I will finally admit that the diet pop was standing in my way I've lost 6 lbs in the 6 diet pop free days. It's shocking to me actually. Lol I honestly had no idea.

Tracy - that is spectacular news! I think going down in sizes beats everything.

Shannon - way to go! I agree with Belly, getting off diet pop is the best thing you can do for yourself. Did you know that if you take the sweetener in diet drinks and put it on aunt hills, they will vacate? They know what is poison and what is actually sweet. So if you ever run out of bug poison......... lol And great on your losses!!

I had hot chocolate last night and a slice of biscotti. It was there, I was cold and had not prepped myself for the resistance. I just did it. My reward was on the scale this morning. Is that not the stupidest thing? I have been very, very good. right on plan eating. Now, so mad that I'm planning on having hashbrowns with my omelette for lunch. To heck with it for today is what I say.

Groovey - That's great! 40 lbs!! Way to go. I'm still Diet Coke free too. Do you drink coffee? I have no caffeine at all and I'm dragging during the day. Hoping my body adjust soon.

Tracy - size 14 is great. Congrats! I was there for a long time on my way up the scale. Hope I get back there again some day.

Great job Wantingtoloose,on smaller size. sometimes we forget that inches count to .Some times we just look at the scale numbers.{Look at how we feel and how clothes fitYou keep doing and moving that body.It works. Slow but works.I just have to say toself when i want that cake or bad carbs. is it worth it?? Kinda like a person that drinks alot. one bite or thought that it is a hoilday or special day at parties{We can cheat. {True but if we are still working at getting healthier and looseing weight>How can we keep regaining.
Thoughts and well power have to take hold.
This month, still going to watch, and no cheats.
Going to fast today.
Now the one thing I should do and have is stop diet coke also.
I was off 8 months till this June and went back.
For it didnt change me on looseing weight and I got self to thinking{I think.That it helps mestay on diet.
But I guesse the true is. that I can do it just dont want too.But maybe in time will.I have 3 cans left, so we will see.
Maybe a new year and I can add that to a goal.
It is hard and I did hit a Wall this Aug. But I just broke through it last week or 2
Like I said fasting today and rest of week very low calarieslike the last 6 day.
Good job Jenny and Kit on no pop.

My next goal is another week without sweets, to be honest I'm wanting something so this is definitely going to be a hard week, my push is going to be seeing myself go down in weight, lower then I've been in two months and I'm only .4 from that.

Tracy that is awesome about your pant size, I saw a pair of 14 yesterday and I was thinking to myself, if I could be in this size I would be so happy. You've worked hard so you deserve to see that size.

Shannon on your 40 pound weight loss, that is a big achievement!
