Hi topysrae! Sounds like you made your November goal, right? Way to go!!

I've had a couple of off-plan days, so struggling to get back on but hoping that I did and the little shake up gets things moving in the long run.

Resting metabolism? How do they test for that? Does that mean that 1247 is your calorie level to maintain?

Topsy, I'm new here and so inspired by your success. What's your carb goal? I've tried scanning your posts to see, but there are a lot to go through!

I also like how you've listed and met monthly goals, so I'll be "borrowing" that format.

Goals:
229.0 1st of January
214.0 1st of February
199.0 1st of March (I REALLY can't wait to get back to Onderland!)

Resting metabolism is what you burn if you don't do anything....just sit around. Since "kind" exercises a LOT she can eat more than that and still lose and definitely more than that and maintain if she keeps up the exercise.

I also talked to someone, and we will go check it out Dec.28th.
But They said that Not to go by the scale and the lbs. It is the true fat u have to burn and get rid of. And they like to get me more into weights and to look more into the foods and set a plan on that.
Like to up cals for while and the lower again. to get the metabolism back on track{So I can start looseing fat{True fat.
I have the pappers and will get more into this if i decide to do and of course the cost.
The one thing that bothers me and i know makes since>Is to up calaries for me for bit.
I need to reset body is it will start working to lose and most of all the fat.
Will see. i just lose so slow to none and even gain here and there. so maybe this program will work To get back on track for 12weeks.
I dont know yet. but i will keep exersciseing but boy just thought i would be at my goal by now.

Hi KitKat! Actually I made goal last June 1st or thereabouts, held it for about 2 months or so until a family wedding and have been gaining ever since. Shame on me! But I'm human.

My stats are lying.

I'm doing well with calories and carbs, but have been bad about getting myself moving! Arggh! The numbers tell me that a 3 mile walk or 3 miles on the elliptical every day will drop the scale at least a pound a week beyond what I'm losing with low cals and low carbs, and I really need the extra boost of quick loss to help me stay on plan.

Hi,
Good day to all of you.
Bloodhound, You can and will do it. Set small goals and do keep exersicing..
That is as important as the calaries and low carbs.
I have been off on exersicing for few days and Tomorrow getting back. Just trying to get things done.
If we all can just hold on,then we will do fine. and what ever the scale saids for us, then that is what we go with and do as clean of a New year as we can.
I seem to do good with eating less, but nights are the hardest.
Today did good, only 360 cals and it is 5;30.
Going to make me a Cheese cake smoothie{That Gabby{Here. gave .and there is another one that i like to try to Pumpkin @Avaco. smoothie{That sound good too and both 300 cals.

Hope we get more coming in and staying and we can all do and learn from each other and what ever plan we can stay with.
If we want it bad enough and really work hard at it, and watch those calaries and move our body and yes weight training it will all work.
have a great hoilday and know you can and shall make goals.

I walked 3 miles at lunch yesterday! It was so nice to have already completed that before I got home. Kind, you're right about the importance. I lose so sluggishly without it.

Great job on walking. When we dont want to, we just have too. It is for body to get in shape and for us to feel better about self and weight loss.
Even through we want the weight loss and think that is the only key, it is not. It is walking and weight training. we need to lose body fat and that is the hard part. The sacle nly tell us the samll part.
So lets keep moving and heading for good health. It is slow{at least for me. But as long as I push self and not let scale get in a way.{For if up i do bad. and when down I push.
I hope i can hold for the next week or 2 and Jan.1st. then what it is,is.
Keep track.
lets post and keep moving. weights too girls.
Muscale burns fat.; so scale is not the only thing we need to watch.
great job.

I got in a few miles at the park again. It was really nice since my daughter and her dogs came with me and it was snowing ever so lightly. I have started using Map My Walk and I like posting my walks to my FB page.

Carbs and cals have been good, too. I hope to have a whoosh in the morning, but even if I don't, that will be fine.

Blood hound keep walking and you are doing fine.
All we can do is try and keep going. We know what we are doing and not. New year is coming and then we all restart. Look at what we have done or not done and learn from it and work harder. Make this coming year the best and goal> less slips. maybe 4 weeks of staying on track and see.
I have not been walking or exerscising. so I ave to get back on track as well.
Have a great day and Hoilday.

I love all the things people are saying about the new year being a new beginning. I love that about New Year's. As for me, my goal is to keep watching cals and carbs and to keep MOVING! I lost a lot in 2007 and gradually gained it back, so I plan for a repeat performance in 2017 (but not the gaining back part). It's harder now that I'm working and have more stressors in my life, but I decided it's time to pull up my big girl panties and stop using that as an excuse. I'm three and a half weeks into the program. If I can make it to a whole month, I have a fighting chance.
Last night we went out the an Italian restaurant and I skipped the pasta! I asked for a to go container right away and scooped the delicious, but unhealthy stuff right off my plate without a taste! I also passed on the yummy looking bread so that dinner consisted of chicken parm and a salad. I did not feel deprived. I had coffee when everyone else had a scoop of ice cream. Afterward, my niece and I went to the gym. It was such a good feeling to have such a successful day when it could have been disastrous.
Anyway, good luck to all. It's all a journey.

Hi ladies. I'm still here and still losing - it's much slower now, but I'm not that far away from my goal and I have loosened up a little as I need to transition into a more sustainable way of eating which fits in with family life as well as maintaining. I'm currently 172.5lbs, still exercising and still watching the carbs - so I am pleased with myself and with my progress. I'm expecting a gain over Christmas as we have a lot going on and there will doubtless be alcohol involved! But it will be my first gain, and I aim to get straight back on it.

I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and keep to plan as much as you want to - but remember Christmas ends in December, and we CAN all get straight back onto it and lose whatever we gain over the festive period.

It's been pretty cold, but I've gotten moving quite a bit. I have a question to you regulars. How do you set up a signature? I'd like to have monthly goals like some of you have. It helps me when I have an exact amount to aim for on a monthly basis.

How are we all ladies - I am very happy to find I have lost half a pound over Christmas! Even though I have eaten (and drank!) loads of carbs and not been to the gym either for almost a week!!! I'm not sure how I've managed it, but I did get back on the scales several times to make sure - and yes - half a pound lower!!

Today I am dropping one of my older boys back to the station so he can head back to University and then I am going to meet my boyfriends family for the first time - taking my 2 youngest boys and my boyfriends 2 girls with us too. So it's going to be a bit manic and I am feeling rather nervous, so I imagine it will be another carb-laden day, but I am driving, as my car is the biggest and can fit us all in, so at least I won't be drinking.
