Count me in. I have alot of work to do. I really packed it on over the last month or so. I'm starting now though. I have to start while the iron is hot.

I start at 211.2 lbs and am aiming for 191 in the 12 weeks. Quite ambitious for me but I really need to push myself this time.

OK I have changed my avatar to a time a few years ago I was happy and I have changed my stats and weight ticker to a spring theme because that makes me happy too. I will try extra extra hard to post and be accountable every day.

Welcome, MrsVardy!! We are happy to have you with us! Several of us are coming to this new thread from another group challenge that just ended.

You don't have to do anything else. You are with us now! You can start now or wait until next Monday. I started on December 26 because I felt so miserable after a big sugar and eating binge.

Post your weight loss goal sometime between now and Monday. If you want, you can tell us what way of eating you plan to do. We all do different things and some of us switch up what we are doing as we go. Low carb, egg fast, intermittent fasting, low carb/high fat...

We have no posting rules but we seem to do better the more we post. I know if I am not posting often, it usually means I am straying from my plan.

I think you have set a good goal. In between 1.5 and 2 pouds a week. You can do it!

I am going to continue with what I am doing and have set my goal at 1 pound a week.

I am going to look for a new springy avatar, too. The one I have makes me think it is still the holidays.

I'd like to join! I'm also one who needs to be active to help stay accountable and focused......I tend to at least check in daily!!

I'm getting back on the wagon after falling off about a year and a half ago....I had lost 50 pounds, regained about 30! time to get serious!!! I officially restarted yesterday.....

Thank you for letting me join. My current weight is 269.5, I am following a low carb plan. I started on January 1 my goal is to lose 1.5 to 2 pounds per week. I am going to be in a wedding in September and would like to drop about 70 pounds before then. I have a hard time staying motivated - so I am hopeful that posting and reading posts will help me stay on track. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

My goal for the next 12 weeks is to lose at least 25 pounds....that's just barely over 2 per week....surely that's doable?? My current weight as of this morning is 230.4 .....My major focus right now though is to get back on track and REALLY stay there....no matter what!! I ALREADY feel better just getting the carbs out of my system....The bloated, gassy feeling is quickly subsiding, and my energy is starting to really pick up. I just can not even believe that after doing so well for so long I allowed myself to get derailed AGAIN and fell right back into old habits!! But I am TIRED of feeling like garbage.....enough is enough!! I do VLC/High fat...and I track everything faithfully in my online food journal.....I love it because it breaks down my calories / fat / protein / carb macros every day and gives me wonderful graphs and charts. I know from experience that I will do BEST if I can keep my Fat at 65-70% for the day, protein at 20-25% and carbs at 5% or fewer......Calories almost don't matter if I have those macros dialed in. (ALMOST)

Let's kick this year off right and do this!!!!

Well I have been on course for three days now and I am beginning to get jittery. I want my desserts I have been having lately. I think I should just go to bed and try and sleep through the cravings

How is everyone else doing??

Michelle, do like fat bombs? They TOTALLY help me get past those dessert cravings...in fact I'm not sure I could do this without them! and on those really tough nights when even the fat bomb doesn't seem enough, then I'm with you....I go to bed and sleep it off!

LadyBoss, I think your goal is very reasonable and doable. You have one BIG win already by cutting bad carbs and getting rid of the bloat. It makes such a difference in how we feel, doesn’t it? What online food journal do you use? We were just talking about what we use to track food, macros, and exercise in our last group, Happy New "You" Challenge.

Michelle, way to go!! For the sugar cravings, sometimes I will mix protein powder with a small amount of water to make a pudding. Sometimes I add in nut butter or nuts. Yummy! Water with lime or lemon juice and sweetener helps me, too.

Tammy, what fat bombs do you like?

I am still doing well. I down 5 pounds since Dec. 26.

hello to all the newbies-so glad to have you on the journey with us!

I have been trying to remedy some of the damage I did during the last month-no excuses for it...ready for Monday

Michelle--wtg on restarting--we are kindred spirits! do some of that fabulous baking but make it low carb--I have said before that I NEED something sweet at the end of the day--it is what I know I need to stay on plan--a lifelong plan anyway

Jan--woohoo for losing 5 pounds ---awesome--totally awesome!

Betsie-glad your DH made it through..

I am confusing myself writing on both threads--a good confusion though-the more I distract myself in the evening-the better I am from eating something.
I am trying not to eat anything after 7pm...dang it's hard when you are a night person...but that is one big issue I need to overcome--it will help when I get into ketosis--but not helping tonite!

frigid temps this week--I want a real fireplace!

WTG Jan on the 5lbs great loss!

Jeanne...you want to talk cold weather. Yesterday it was -42 degrees and we have had 70cm of snow so f this winter. I want spring!!!! Too bad it is 4 months away.

I did end up going to bed early to stave off the snacking monster yesterday and I think the same thing is happening tonight. Tomorrow is weigh in.Fingers crossed!

Just stopping in to see how everyone is doing so far for those of us that have a head start on Monday. I am gearing my self up mentally and stocking up on good low carb foods. All the talk about it being cold makes me glad for our 55/65 degree evenings here in Arizona...but that is brrrrrrr temps for us. I was a regular on the boards years ago, life happens and weight comes back on so easily for me. Knew I need to come back for fellowship and new ideals, looking forware to everything y'all can share with me and I hope I will be to give support back to you.

Maybe I am getting old or more sensible but I decided early yesterday not to drive to Indy for the weekend. Driving around Indy on 465 scares the heck out of me on a warm, sunny day. With snow on the way and the wind chill below zero through the weekend, and arriving there during Friday afternoon rush hour traffic, OMG. I also woke up coughing yesterday morning and by the end of the day ached and felt feverish. I am going to take this 3 day weekend to feel better, drink bone broth, go to the grocery, and prep low carb food for next week.

Michelle, I was going to say it is COLD here with wind chills down to -5 below zero but OMG how do you even handle the weather you have!!?? I put up a spring picture to warm us up. Norma Jean’s weather sounds wonderful right now!

Jeanne, the library has some good books to help with iphones. Look for, Teach Yourself Visually iPhone. It has a lot of pictures and easy to follow step by step instructions. Just saw another book on Amazon called iphone for Seniors. I may have to check that one out.

Norma Jean, good job preparing mentally and stocking up on low carb food. Preparing food ahead is a huge help for me. I think we can all relate to getting off track and sometimes slipping away for way too long. Glad we have found our way back.

Betsy, happy your husband did well!

Jeanne, I have given up on trying to not eat later in the evening. I admire you and anyone else who can do that. I usually eat my last meal between 11 PM to 2 AM.

The last 2 nights I have listened to lose weight hypnosis tapes. I think it helps! I know it helps me get to sleep much quicker than usual.

I'm not sure the moderators will let me say which journal I use??? But we'll see....I use fit day (one word, not two)..And I love it!!!! It's free.....But yes, the reports, the charts....You can really break it down! Plus you can add your own foods to track....Like recipes, etc.
Fat bombs....Hmmm which ones DON'T I like?? I do chocolate and peanut butter a lot...Kind of burned myself out on that....I actually have some new recipes I want to try....One is a chia seed/coconut bar, one is a lemon cheesecake bomb....

I am ready for Monday!!!!

Tammy--- I have always used the free version of fit***and I like it but it is so slow. When you have to enter in food with lots of ingredients it takes forever. Maybe if I would pay for it, it would be faster.

Janilyn--- You handle this cold by bundling up really well and staying in most of the time. But like today it is -24 below and that now feels warm after that cold spell so many layers come off. By the time spring rolls around and its -10 below we don't even wear jackets.

Norma Jean--- You're right life happens and you veer off track but coming back here is always inspirational.

Jeanne--I love your Dolly avatar. She is gorgeous!

Well water weight is gone. Now on to the hard stuff. Down 5.5 lbs

Michelle, that's true, it can be slow.....but I've found I tend to be a creature of habit with my food, so if I have a dish with a lot of ingredients I'll usually calculate the macros based on the recipe I use (or create) and go to "create a new food" and put in all the macros for that dish, then it's just 1 click to add it to my log. I also use the "recent" foods list A LOT....that saves time.

Betsie, I miss Ally like crazy. She always inspired me. I did PM her and she is OK, but taking a break. I really hope she comes back, but she's been gone awhile. Usually the longer you are away the harder it is to come back.
