Spring's So Sweet!

With the first day of Spring coming up on March 20th, I thought it would be a good length for a challenge -- doing the best we can at least up until that day -- staying focused and in the zone!

My first day back to induction was 09 Jan 17. Let's see what serious damage I can do to my fat cells in 71 days.

Yea! 71 days, I can remember a time when that would seem so long but really it ain't. I am looking forward to this. I don't know my actual weight or measurements because everything is still packed up. Hopefully soon bf can get to them in the sea can.

Ugh! I hate moving, but I hope your move was successful! Ummmm, what is a sea can, CG?

On my way to a healthier me.

A sea can is one of those big metal cargo containers. My bf dad and stepmom have one here so we just packed everything in to it and have been slowly moving in to their rental house.

Wrist hurts still and hand feels numb still but slept much better.

Ohhhh. Ok. I'd never heard of sea can before.

I'm glad you were able to sleep better. That's a step in the right direction!

I had a horrible day today. I was struggling to get home without stopping at a fast food place. One of the things that helped me to get home was to remember this challenge. Thanks CG for suggesting it!

Fast food is the devil. I am glad we are doing this.
On a good note I might be able to get my scale this weekend if I can convince bf to search for it, it's a huge full can. But the best thing is I can try Curves for a week free and see if I like it, which I am sure I will. So I will be making that appointment really soon.

Oh cool! That will give me an incentive to get to the gym on a regular basis. I'm fighting going this morning.

You can do it Hun, remember that if you miss too many days it can make it harder to go back.

Well (blushing madly), I didn't make it to the gym this morning. I piddled around too much and time just slipped away. Will have to restart on Monday morning. (Weekends are out for working out).

GREAT! It's not that far away really. Totally doable, I'd say. At least, that's what I've been trying to tell myself, anyway.

We have ice storms coming tonight through Sunday and I have to work tomorrow. I hope if the weather is too bad they will call off work this time. A few weeks ago they made us come in anyway and . . . well . . . not many people made it to work on time due to sitting in dead stopped traffic on the highway for hours on end.

We had a catered lunch today at work from a BBQ place and I was so surprised to see that the pulled pork and pulled chicken didn't have any sauce on them at all! I was able to enjoy myself thoroughly. I did, however, forget to bring my own SF BBQ sauce, but that was ok. It was so flavorful without it.

I'm supposed to cook this weekend - either tonight or tomorrow after work. I gotta say, I'm not feelin' the love of cookin' tonight, that's for sure, so I'll procrastinate . . .

How is everyone doing this evening?

My evening is going great. I just came back from my first time at Curves and it went great! I feel like I worked out and I don't feel tired or really pent up excited either. Just good.
BF is being really supportive and will drive me there and will not bring me treats anymore. So I think I am off to a good start

Yea for the pulled pork, I think that will be one of my meals soon.

I hope your work calls a "snow day" for you if the weather is that bad.
It's been hovering around -40 for days now here and I am not enjoying having to go outside in it.

Good luck.

OH MY WORD! I looked on the map to see where you were located at. I thought you might be in Siberia! -40 . . . not good, not good at all.

Thanks for telling me about your day. I'm glad you got to have some pulled pork, even if ya forgot to bring your sauce.

I guess at times like that we try to think of all the people in the world who never get to have any sauce at all

So how did everyone do today? Stress galore was the soup of the day in my life. I made it through the day though. Whew! That was a close one!

I did good. I was happy most of the time. Maybe all of the time. Not being happy stinks. Know what I mean?

I am usually always happy, unless I get into a swing (treated bipolar) than life is hell.
Glad you had a good day too.

I need to do my challenge list soon.

Hi guys. How is everyone this morning? I love Sundays. It's fun to go to church. I used to not like it, but we found a new one a few years ago and now I like it. But I think part of it too is just me growing up and coming to grips with my own self-centeredness.

I don't know why I grew up so selfish. I'm good at hiding it so people will like me. People don't like selfish people do they? It's kind of universal it seems. If someone famous dies, you always hear how giving they were, etc. Unless of course they were so selfish that no one can praise their character.

Anyway, there's my Sunday morning reflections. Hope you guys have a great Sunday and good success with what you put in your tummies. Life is good. Let's not let it pass us by without doing some good

Hi Go B! I love being a Christian and all that comes with it. But at times, I too become self-centered. I think it's all part of being an imperfect human. I hope your day goes good as well.

Hi CG! Good on ya girly about the eats and water. Weekends are usually hardest for me. It's too tempting to just in the car and go somewhere to get something to eat. They call the mid-west here in America the fast food capital of the world. Everywhere you turn there is a FF place or sit down restaurant. My town has 3 McDonalds in it . . . THREE! And two Taco Bells. (Taco Bell is my downfall). Not to mention all the other FF restaurants surrounding those establishments.

I'll be crocheting the rest of the day. I found a project that I started years ago, but because of painful hands, I put it aside. Now that I'm starting to recover from surgery, it's time to finish it.

Have a happy happy day you two.

I would love to know how to crochet I once could knit but stopped doing it years ago and when I picked up the needles a couple yrs back I could not remember for the life of me how to do it.

I don't drive any more and BF is trying hard to be supportive so no fast food for me. I live in a small town, it is actually classified as a city now, and we have a few ff places and other sit down restaurants. Other than that it's a ten minute ride to a bigger city.

So I think I will be ok. Oddly not getting the induction flu like symptoms just feel tired, but I usually do feel tired.

How many days till spring? Need to find a counter for it lol
