You can do it, iakaren! Maybe just start by walking in place during tv commercials!

9,142 steps today for me and will probably be sore tomorrow since its been over a week since I did some real exercise.

I am going to state my goals for this year.

I want to lose 20# this year. I am going to try and excercise 10 minutes per day, or 70 minutes per week. And going to post it here, to keep myself on track.

Did my 10 minutes tonight.

I'm getting my 5000 steps everyday and have even been doing my abdoer 360 stuff again......and I'm back on the program again with my food. I didn't stray too far off course this year during the holidays and that makes me happy!

That's great, leisha! Here in eastern NC we're expecting 3-5 inches of snow and 1/2 inch of sleet. How cold is it in AL?

At 5:49 I have 12,349 steps. Tomorrow will be fewer as it's Callanetics day and a good chance we won't be going to work tomorrow.

I hope itís ok to join in? Iím going to be shoveling snow later this afternoon. Already did about 20 minutes worth of shoveling this morning. Day before yesterday I took a short walk. Yesterday some Pilates. Iím 5í tall, 220lbs, and 48 yrs old. Bad arthritis and bone spurs in both my feet make it hard to exercise but Iím trying to do a little bit every day.

Office closed today because of weather. Ate A LOT and exercised very little. Back at it in the morning.

Thank you! I ended up doing a lot of snow shoveling yesterday, so today Iím taking a break but spent all morning cleaning house, laundry, and cooking. I only work on weekends, 16 hrs on Saturday and 16 hrs on Sunday, so I try to get all my cooking and stuff done by Fridayís. But maybe I will try to do a half hour of Pilates or at least some stretching later .

gayandgray! Just do "something" everyday! That's why I love it here. Whether we have a little or a lot or nothing to report we try to check in often!

I had 5800 steps yesterday and slept 8 hours again! It still surprises me how much good sleep help out in every area. I was letting myself stay up too late. I had to get back on my schedule!

Great job, leisha! I wish I had more restful sleep. Weekdays I get about 5-6 hours according to my fitbit, but I go to bed around 9 and up at 4:30. I'm awake an hour or so trying to go to sleep, awake a lot during the night, and awake before the alarm. The good news is I don't get sleepy during the day, so maybe exercise tells me I don't need 8 hours of sleep? My husband takes out his hearing aids at night, so I guess that makes me a light sleeper.

Enough of that...9,252 steps at 6:00 pm

Really cold here in Eastern NC and we have dogs kennelled outside. Yesterday we bought 20 bales of hay and made 'forts' around the two boxes and added more cedar shavings inside each box. These are two large boxes so there are three dogs in each box. The dogs were so excited for something new in their kennels they spent much of the afternoon playing King of the Hill and running/jumping around. They are safe and sound and warm! This morning my shoulders are a bit sore from picking up the bales and stacking them, but was surprised at how much upper body strength I have!

rough day around here, with my parents. So no excercise (unless picking up 2 90 year old people off floor and getting them to bed counts)

Eating has been good, but I have been reading at night instead of excercise. Gotta read while I walk.......

Iakaren, to me, that's as much exercise as it was with two small children. Picking up dead weight needs a lot of strength so you're expending a lot of energy. I deslth eith that eith my in-laws so I can empathize with you.

10,763 steps as of 9:38 pm. Tomorrow is one mile WATP to warm up for an early session of Callanetics.

Housework and laundry today, plus some Pilates on my yoga mat planned. I have my mat and props out in the living room waiting on me! I also did 15 minutes of stretching when I woke up.

Iakaren, do you have a hallway in your home or barn? When I was trying to 'do something' I paced up and down the hall and counted steps in my head while listening to music. I like cadence counting, must be OCD in me!

Very busy at work and have changed up my strength training, so I was in bed at 8 last night and slept until 6 this morning!

Nah......I have lots of room in the house. I just need to make myself get to work. After long day at office, fixing supper, then I don't get moving.

I've recently been promoted to a managerial position at work and just trying to keep my head above water while I learn the process. Can't sit still today with anxiety- 17,098 steps as of 6:17 pm.

Wow! Bronwyn, I really believe that exercise is the best way to deal with anxiety and you seem to be doing it!! Congrats on the promo!!

Karen....it is so hard to "do something" after working all day and coming in and doing the house stuff. I just MADE myself sit down on that abdoer last night for a while! I'll have to MAKE myself do it again tonight if it happens!

I left my fitbit in the charger at my office ALL WEEKEND! I was lost without it. Especially wondering how long I slept! And I'm pretty sure I missed so good step numbers this weekend because I was busy, busy!

I've struggled the last few days at work because (a) I'm a perfectionist who thinks Rome WAS built in a day and should know everything, (b) trying too hard, and (c) the staff I supervise are trying to pull stuff over on me because I'm new in this position though not new at the office. i just have to keep praying and having faith that I'm not alone and can do the job, otherwise I would not have been promoted.

Today was a pretty good day - 10,923 steps as of 7:04 pm. Each day I'm gaining confidence but it can be one step forward/two steps back at times.
