Not near my scale until tomorrow so I'll have to start with my last weight from 10/30. (Sadly I nibbled on candy the 370+ trick or treaters last night didn't want. Hey, someone had to do it, right? )

11/1 - 131

Goal for November: 10 comprised of the 4.2 lbs of I gained from being served 3 lower carb meals per day in October then add 5.8 of virgin territory--sometimes it's good to be single.

I'm okay. Yesterday, there was this thing at work that I'll call "Taco Tuesday". It all started when one of the ladies came out of her office and said "I want to make cheese dip and brownies". Well, she went grocery shopping, and everyone started bringing stuff. We ended up with a boatload of tacos, chicken wings, cheese dip, sonic corn dogs and brownies. It was the weirdest lunch ever. I caved. For 45 minutes.

My husbands truck is still in the shop. I think it is done, but now the owner has to pay about a $5000 repair bill. I pray he can get back on the road soon.

Heidi! Welcome back! Great place to come back to. You NEED this place!

Here's to November! This is when the fast forward button gets stuck. Next thing you know, it will be 2018!!

Happy Wednesday!

A NEW START INDEED! I'm excited to see what you all can do!

LC Laura! Look how far you've come!

Terri, you won't go to Hell for one cave. (Michael might...) Onward!

Speaking of Michael, (just now learning how to push buttons on his smartphone) he texted me what my November goal was. I might as well share it here.

I wanna swap some fat for some more lean mass. I'm going with High Intensity Resistance Training. Muscle weighs a little more than fat and is hungry for calories (or so I've read) so my actual weight loss is probably going to taper off significantly. The Scale is my NUMERO UNO(!) weight loss tool....but I don't need to tell YOU it doesn't tell the whole story.

There are other, different markers of success that matter to each of my friends here. Mine are:

I'm off of BP Meds!!!!
Normal Blood Sugar
Fasting Glucose is off the charts low
HbA1C is 4.9
I FEEL UTTERLY FANTASTIC some days, Great 90%, ... It's just ridiculous.
Can once again work all day without ankle pain. (Smashed in 1990 with a poorly executed Roof Dismount....0.00 Points out of a possible 10)
No carb cravings.
Restored Confidence
More Energy
Look better, Not as good as Michael, but at least I have all my fingers.
Can buy pants anywhere I want!!!!! (Not always shoes, or shirts. I'm a large man.)
I don't scare wimmens when standing behind them with babies in their cart at Walmart anymore.
MY HIPS DON'T HURT AS BAD!!!!

According to the book I'm currently obsessed with, swapping 3 pounds of blubbering, jiggling FAT for 3 pounds of CALORIE HUNGRY muscle is entirely possible in just 12 weeks! I'm already 3 weeks in, so by Christmas, I can burn 100 calories maintaining my newly acquired lean body mass by watching Bluebloods. Or The Blacklist. Or LifeChurch TV.

My last (once a week!) trip to the gym took longer to drive there than I spent on the floor.

What's not to like!

(I just told you all more than I know. I've yet to be convinced that 15 minutes, once a week... on just 5 compound lifts to UTTER Muscle Failure is enough. We shall see!!!!)

I'd still like to be 185 or lower, but my wife says ENOUGH A'READY!!! And of course, I have to learn how to do that "M" thingy.... that scares the excrement out me.

Stan, you should be a motivational speaker. Don't worry about the m word, we will be here to kick your butt as required.

My super secret wish is to lose at least 55 lbs total by Christmas (I'm at 34 right now). I would need to pick up the pace, but it's good to have goals.

Here I go....again. That seems to be my theme song. But anyway.....at least I had a small loss (1.6 lbs) in October instead of a gain. I MUST do better this month.

Dang it! I was so close to not gaining in October. At least it's only .4 of a pound, and I didn't stick to my October high of 213.
I've tried setting goals and not setting goals. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. It's about my 5th attempt to make it to Onderland, but I'm setting the goal, damn it! My birthday is near the end of the month, so making it there by my birthday would be icing on the cake.

Hello everyone! I love that everyone is checking back in and setting new goals.
This month I hope to lose 8 lbs myself and exercise 4 times a week. (Cardio and Weight lifting)

I am happy for the new month too! This is my favorite time of the year. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve are such a great time for our family. There will be lots of celebrations this month too in my family. We have at least 5 birthdays. But, I am going to be strong. (Telling this to myself!)

Have a great day!

Loss for October was 17.1 lbs! Can’t say I’m disappointed. Also I got out of the 300’s. So October was good to me.

Goal for November.. hrmmm.. I’d love to lose at least 10lbs, prefer 15lbs. More importantly I would really like to be able to comfortably wear my size 18 jeans from OldNavy and maybe even get into the other size 18 skinny legged pants I bought and never wore three years ago. That would be sweet.

Welcome Joe! Nice to have another man here! I hope you find this place pleasant and encouraging!

My oldest son is doing KETO (also and his wife) and is doing great too. Not quite as fast as you, but he has dropped 13 in about 3 weeks.
He knows it will slow down, but it works!

He wants to lose about 25 total. His High School Wrestling class was 160, but he thinks that's too low, and I recall him having a hard time making weight his senior year, so he's probably right. And they will put their 2 year old on a Real Food Diet with emphasis on THE OUTSIDE of the Grocery store. That's where most of the REAL stuff is.

Okay I just tried on my end of month goal pants and took pictures. If I HAD to wear them I could but it wouldn’t look great. Looking forward to them looking decent at the end of the month, dae I hope for them to be too loose and fall off? Lol. Also if I make weight goal I’ve decided it’s time for a non food reward. Not sure what though, but I haven’t really rewarded myself throughout and I think it’s time.

Welcome Joe!

Good morning! Nothing like a good whoosh to start the month. I ate clean yesterday (first time in a couple weeks!) I finally tried mashed cauliflower! I don't know why I took so long to try it, but it was good, and did a good job of soaking up the yummy sauce from the chicken marsala I made for dinner.

Today I will eat right again. I'm thinking eggplant parmigian.

Looks like a great month so far for you LOSERS!

11/01/2017.. 188.2
11/02/2017.. 188.5

I'm starting to think my new decade just might stick this time. But I was waaaaaay under my 1500 cal (full KETO) limit yesterday. So that could be why I'm not back in the 190's following my extended fast. I didn't actually check the time, but I don't believe I quite made 70 hours. I was hungry, so I ate. And that level of hunger, especially after 2 days of fasting.....is pretty unusual. For me, hunger usually goes away after that period of time.

That danged "M Word" is upon me and like LC Laura hinted, I NEED you people!!!

I'm pretty sure I'll do a 2nd fast 48 this weekend...then I'm thinking once a week will do. We'll see about that. But Intermittent Fasting (maybe 18/6?) and LCHF will continue to be my WOE. There will NO PROCESSED CARBS for this former fatso, no no no!

But at the moment, a yummy Sausage And Cabbage Skillet is calling my name from the dark bowels of The Frigidaire. And I don't really think that type of veggie selection has hurt me much during my journey. As long as I don't overdo it, I plan to answer the Siren Song of The Veggie....juuuuust a little bit more, going forward.

Yes. Plenty of healthy fats are in the future, and moderate protein. But I might add a few more onions, slaw, SALAD heck yeah!, and green critters in my omelettes! OH BABY, how I love bell peppers and green onions with BACON scrambled up in my Cackleberries!

So.

Heidi! It's great to see you back!

Where the heck is HOLLY anyways?????
