p0rtia's Spring Challenge: Out Like a Lamb Edition

I'm back! The first two weeks of March got totally out of hand, and I see from various other threads that I'm not alone.

But though March may have come in like a lion, there's still time to get back on track and make sure it goes out like a lamb!

So who's with me for ten days of commitment to whatever your WOE, whatever your plan, whatever you need to do?

I'm back on my uber-JUDDD (ZD ZD ZD ZD UD DD UD) as I continue my journey to maintenance.

Let's have some good talk about the nitty-gritty of weight-loss. And of course, Fun Food Pix!

I am so annoyed that I missed the great opportunity that St. Patrick's Day provides for fun food pix. So hey! I'm gonna post a couple anyway!

Good luck everybody!

Good to have your challenge posts back p0rtia.

I would admire the photograph, but cucumber is the food of the Devil in my opinion, lol.

So very nice for you to ask!! He is getting better, taking a pill to shrink the P and it seems to be helping some! Still has more pain then before the S but in a different spot - maybe he now has adhesions ( spelling ). But I think he will live!!!

Family lost a close relative the end of February, so eating was way tooooo much!

I'm in. I just want 10 days of not eating sweets. Fruit is ok, cookies are not. Carbs are the devil. I'm thinking of making something very decadent but keto (burger stuff with cheese?). I think DH and I are sick to death of chicken.

Condolences for the loss, but glad to hear that DH is doing okay (infection free, I hope!).

What's your game plan for WLM these days, leona?

Hi kwerpie! I'm with you on the carbs. I'm off them three days and feel human again. But I never get tired of chicken.

Pollotarians rock!

Oh dear, you do hate cucumbers.

We are currently being pummeled by snow, but I need to get myself back closer to 125 rather than 130, so I think next week I'll do 4-5 days of Stillman's for a reset hopefully.

Sun is out here in WI, but we have loads of snow to melt yet, temp this morning was 18!

Yes, yes, no infection for dh - pray it continues! Thanks for asking and also for the condolences.

My plan for the 10 days - 1500 c for ud and 500-700 c for dd, for a result of 2 # loss!???!! Now if I can get rid of my sweet tooth I will win - had one cookie( 75 C ) this am as a snack and a slice of cake ( 150 C )at noon.

Good Luck To Us All!

Today I had no sweets. I sliced an apple to go with my coffee, which was weird but worked. Instead of buying a cookie, muffin or candy I got a bag of hummus chips. So I did snack, but snacked wisely. Nine days to go. Maybe if I can settle back into no sweets I’ll step it up and get back to no snacking, then back to OMAD. That’s the goal.

Staying low carb. Scale up this morning. I don't feel I'm eating beyond satiety, but I might need to add more fiber....

Hi all joining in. I have no specific plan for the rest of the month cause things are just super busy around here this time of year. So my goal is to stick to rotations as best I can and hope to see some small amounts drop off.

One week left for the month. This has been a tough month. Although I have stuck to rotations they have been kinda off cause of lots of late nights and not enough sleep. I know my body is really fighting me at this point to lose anything. My last goal for this month is to do this week as strictly as possible and perhaps hit 167 which will put me 10lbs from goal. I think 165 is probably not going to happen, but I would be thrilled with 167. Hoping to end March on a high note heading into April.

Busy weekend. Too much drama. Not enough time (y'know what I mean???) Too many cals, but stayed LC. A win.

New fasting plan cause I'm currently obsessed with getting enough protein: 1 scoop of whey each day for 100 cals and 24 g protein. Any thoughts? Recommendations?

And now for some visual inspiration!

That is a fabulous picture!

I wanted to do 5 days of Stillman's but I think that will need to wait until I'm back from my Woman's retreat on April 8th. If I get back earlier enough on the 8th to do my grocery shopping maybe I'll I'll start on the 9th, but I don't know what the timing will be like. For now, I'll keep plugging away with 4:3.

Carly: Yes, I thought was an amazing low-carb dish. Or any old dish (everybody eats cheese and deli meats, right?).

I'm in a bit of a funk myself, so I had a pang when I read your post about not feeling it in the chat thread. *hugs* I'm not feeling it either, but am sticking to plan because there are no other alternatives my mind can accept. But I am not my usual perky self.

I'm inviting anyone who has shown an interest in doing water or zero-cal fasting to join me next week for a few days (starting April 2). Maybe we can do another one in late April and you can do Stillman at the same time.

In the meantime, keep well.

Hey Portia...love to see the new challenge thread!!!

I will be starting my challenge April 1. My goal is an odd one. I want my new scale to say under 26% body fat. Right now I fluctuate between 27-28% so under 26 would be great. I have never tried to lose body fat specifically so maybe this is not a good idea, but I have some squishy areas that I would like to tone up and the body fat thing gives me something to aim for. April 1 I will start. I set March as a maintenance month to take a break from being so strict on myself.

Carly..I may join you for a week of Stillmans in April. Do you still do rotations UD/DD with the Stillmans foods?

No, just Stillman foods, but I doubt any day goes over 600 max.

I'm trying to jump back onto the train. Trying to log my food every day and get myself into the kitchen and familiarize myself with measuring spoons - to have something good to eat, instead of just opening a box of cereal, which has become a very bad habit

I made some low carb/calorie chocolate brownies with almond milk gelatin 'icing' - feeling inspired right now.

We got some much needed rain here in Texas, the Satsuma tangerine tree is totally LOADED with fragrant blossoms and bees. Expecting sun and 70F tomorrow, wish you snow birds could fly down here for the next two months. . . June will be here soon enough with triple digits.

Luv2Eat -- Your bakery preferences ring a bell with me. I go through phases when DDs consist of low-cal brownies made from oat fibre and Walden Farms products. Anyway, I read something somewhere the other day about weight-loss plans, whether low carb or low fat, working mainly because they immediately swerve you away from processed foods and towards raw ingredients. So I hear you on re-acclimating one's self with the kitchen utensils.

Three more days till the end of the month! Hope everyone is able to stick to plan through the weekend.

Am planning another challenge thread on April 1. This one was too short!

Three more days of March. Hope you are all doing well with your plans.

All well here. I think I've pretty much reversed the pudge I gained in late Feb/early March. Feeling good and ready to start a new challenge for April!
