I'm back at it and feeling strong in my body. However, taking two days off really made me feel like I had regressed in some areas. From my past experience, though, this is more of a "two steps back, one giant leap forward" kind of situation.

Something is different this time. While eating low fructose, I have a feeling I'll go beyond the results of my past. The connection to my body that I feel right now is something I haven't felt since I was in my early 20's. Very exciting! Another trip to the chiropractor, and I'll be able to do anything again, I'm sure!

Happy Pulsing everyone!!!

Hello! Can I ask, does Callanetics change the calves at all? I have stocky wide muscular calves. It isn't fat, I am a US size 4-6 / UK size 8-10 and very slim but my calves have always been big no matter what size I am.
Would Callanetics slim them down?

Also does it make your butt bigger? Mine is small and very flat and only getting worse with age lol

Hi niamh!

Callanetics tends to work it's way up, so I found my calves were one of the first parts to show a difference. Saying that, if your genetics lean toward bigger calves, you're going to need to be realistic with expectations, as far as just how much they will slim out, but slim out they will.

Your peach... Well, I've never heard of people's butts getting bigger per say, and this is mainly due to the fact that, unlike body building, Callanetics does not result in minuscule tears in the facia, so there's not that rebuilding that happens . Also, a lot of people come here wanting to lose some of their butt. However, what I have heard and experienced is lifting of the butt to a higher, perkier "peach".

Hope that helps!

see I already have a big butt, so when I do the exercises and see a change, its raising my bottom which in turn makes it look bigger. I guess if it lifts and raises it would appear bigger?

Good for you QueenBacon! Pick up where you left off and don't look behind, I say!

Ouff! I must have done something more correct than I have in the past, because I can really feel it tonight! I'm going to have to play it by ear tomorrow, but chances are whatever I'm feeling will pass and I'll be rearing to go in the morning!

Seriously, mornings are the bomb! For me. Last night i had neighbours keep me up until 3:00am and then my other neighbours woke me up at 6:00am, so I got up and before the fatigue could hit me, I had another hour in. If I waited until any time into the afternoon or evening, it would not have gotten done.

Way to just get it done Jigglebuster! I agree, if I don't do it first thing it usually does not happen. I would love to be a bit more disciplined to at least stretch in the evenings while watching tv instead of just sitting. I have good intentions but seem to "forget" to move in the evenings. Maybe I will set an alarm to remind me to get up off the couch

Pfft! I don't know anyone who stretches while watching tv. Treadmills or exercise bikes, yes, but stretching? Nope.

Maybe the key is not sitting when you watch the tv? Like a standing desk, only tv! Ha ha!

Don't be so hard on yourself, Colaborer. You're doing great! Remember, even if you only do Callanetics 2 times per week, it's enough to maintain, at least, and everything after that is working toward more.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried the new Callanetics extreme? I've started to do Callanetics again and ordered this to keep me interested and just wondered what everyone thinks thought.

I sometimes will do callanetics while I'm home watching tv, like kind of if i'm motivated enough to do it but not motivated enough to press play.
I use to jog on my rebounder all the time while watching tv (which I should prob start doing again lol)

Thanks for the encouragement! I am quite hard on myself sometimes! The standing desk thing is funny. I got one last year and set up a treadmill that I found on Craigslist under it. I used it for a while but now I have a stool on top of the treadmill

Well, I guess I know someone now!

I wish I still had my little mini-tramp. I loved that thing!

I like the extreme workout. It is hard but moves along quickly. It's long, around 70 minutes I think so you have to have some time to do it. Let us know how you enjoy it
