It feels good to be back to work and getting more exercise. I am retaining fluid. These allergies are BAD here in SE Texas and my body is fighting it by creating and retaining fluids.

Tami, HubbaBubba! YES! and Bubble Yum. I loved grape. I'm not sure if they make that anymore. I wonder if any one will make SF chocolate flavored bubble gum? Or caramel?

Heidi, you said it! Cheating will set me back for several days. My birthday is coming up so I think I will go ahead and "cheat" for a meal but I know I'll pay for it.

Planning to eat KETO later today.....but VERY gingerly. I've fasted since suppertime on Sunday and hopefully have given myself a little kick in the pants.

I may emphasise the Intermittent Fasting part of my plan going forward. I've got a long way to go and I'm pretty impatient.

I finished Dr. Fung's fasting book (with Jimmy Moore) and it inspires me to do more fasting, on the whole. But shorter, more frequent ones make a lot of sense too.

I LOVE to eat. But it is an obsession....a very unhealthy one.

I NEED to change the voices in my head from "How soon can we eat here, Bubba?" to "go reload some 30/30 Winchester or something". Virtually anything is better for me now, than dealing with eating as an obsession. A hobby.....

I am in moderate Ketosis which, according to the chart on the keto stix I use, is mid range. Man I walked alot yesterday. Not only did I do my interval run. I helped my hubby by push mowing the back area of our yard. My feet were aching last night and I got in well over 20,000 steps. Other than a little tired. I have been feeling really good lately. I am starting to really feel focused again like I'm getting my edge back.
I am going to town today with my Mom and I am making plans to stay on plan today. I made me up my 2 tbsp. of HWC to take with me so I can get my coffee at SB @ 10 and I am going to eat at Zaxby's and have 5 of their wings (all flats) without sauce and a side salad for lunch.
The past few days. I've been really writing everything down and my daily carb count has been way under. Like by 5 carbs. I guess that's okay? I am eating plenty. I am not skimping on my meals at all. I am just trying to get my carbs from veggies and the greens I eat is really low in carbs. A whole plate full is like 1-2 g. of carbs. I guess I need to add some higher carb veggies to my list. I just like the simplicity of the greens salad I eat.

Finally dropped some water weight. Can't believe it - I have another cold. It is 4th time this winter. Feels like every time I go out I get sick. My cat's ultrasound showed enlarged pancreas and probable small cell GI lymphoma. Radiologist said our vet would call us and tell us how to treat it and she still hasn't. I called and they said she is out til Thursday. The place we go had 3 vets, all of whom have treated her at one time or another. You'd think onr of them would call when they got the results but no such luck. sorry to be Debbie Downer today.

Kit...I think I'd find a new vet. Do you take a Vitamin C supplement? I take 1000mg in the morning and at lunchtime and at bedtime. 3000mg every day and I VERY seldom have a cold. Zinc also helps preventing them and getting over them quicker if you do get one.

Judy, maybe going over you personal reasons for losing weight daily would help with your motivation? I just rewrote my list and plan to do that the rest of March to help kick myself in the butt.

I had too much salt, too many calories, and not enough exercise yesterday, but wasn't awful, so I think the gain is a hiccup.

Yup. Zinc and Vitamin C.

I can't tell you how many colds I have warded off with Zinc and Vitamin C....but plenty.

At the first sign of a sore throat (or just scratchy) I go for ZiCam or the Walgreen's equivalent, whichever I can find in the clutter. (Sad story of life in 2 different places, but I digress...)

That stuff works!

But the chew-able version has some sugar, so I go carefully. Then I machine gun 500 mg Vitamin C tablets for a day or two and voilla! Cold go bye bye.

Gotta jump right on it, but it works nearly every time for me. YMMV

And you guys are awesome. Lots of serious effort here, that much is clear.

We are seriously thinking about getting a new vet.

I try to take Vitamin C but I'm usually only consistent when I'm sick. Need to get better about that. Thanks also for the reminder about the Zinc. I have some Zicam left from the last cold. Gonna go take some now.

Might skip tomorrow too...I DID weigh but I don't trust my scale. Yesterday eveing it said 278.3 (and a few more...I weighed like 4 times) and then this morning it said 281! (the highest of about 3 weighs) I have begun shopping for a new scale. I LOVE the convenience of a Wifi Smart scale so I'll check those out. I've seen a few with an App. I'd rather with a website too but we will see. Until then I'll skip a couple days and see how it goes.

I've been snacking a lot at night. Tonight I didn't. I think I need to add more food and fat to my dinners to prevent that feeling of hunger later.

I was talking to a teacher friend about my birthday and said it was Saturday. She says, no its Sunday. I said, I think I know when my birthday is. She laughs and shows me her phone...proving that it actually IS Sunday! I feel old now.

Tami, the lower carb count seems to be working for you! Its a good lesson to all of us to be more vigilant!
Kit I'm so sorry about your kitty. I hope they call you soon and are able to find something reasonable to help her.

For cold/sick prevention I also suggest Vit. C, zinc and Echinacea! At the first sign of a cold I go for Echinacea first. Its in capsule form. I have also used Vit. C and Zinc and they work too.

I'm walking 3 miles a day and 20 minutes of Pilates. It's all about the food! If I don't count every carb I stall.
Trisha look at you go. A few years ago I ate 10 carbs daily and lost weight very fast. It does work.
