Beautiful flowers!! I love, love, love my flowers too! It's always humid here in Alabama in the summer. Muggy and humid. I don't guess I'd recognize the "dry heat" that people talk about!

I had 6175 steps yesterday and 7hr 43min sleep but it was one of those nights where it didn't really feel like it. It just took me awhile to go to sleep I guess. I was still "working" ....... numbers in my head still!

After posting yesterday, I felt the urge to get a little exercise so I did 20 minutes on my wonderful recumbent bike last night. Perhaps the humidity had dropped(?). Today is a chore day plus I'm lunching out with a low-carbing friend. She started after me but is losing weight faster. She's very determined. We both plan to eat right and I bet we do.

Leisha, what kind of flowers do you have? I enjoy light gardening and love a pretty yard that mostly takes care of itself.

Zinnias, cosmos, cannas are my favorites. All of these plants are over my head now because of all of the rain we've had. Very tropical....and snakey, my husband says! I don't know why my pictures are all sideways once they're here!

40winks....... As I was eating my dinner last night it occurred to me that light gardening means light, as opposed to serious and intense gardening! I was tired yesterday when I read your comment! I was thinking it was some new kind of gardening that I needed to find out about!!

I only had 4530 steps yesterday but had 8hr and 41 minutes of sleep!!! I was dragging yesterday so I went to bed before the daylight was gone again! My head feels "funny" this morning! LOL

7138 steps 8hr 20min sleep 15 active minutes!

I did a 15 min 1 mile Walking Away the Pounds video last night!! It felt good to do a little something extra. But.... I think I might be getting sick. The flu is going around here. In all of this heat.

Saturday was a bust! Only 1067 steps and 8hr 14 min sleep! Lazy day but boy did I enjoy it!

Sunday 7082 steps and 7hrs 30min sleep. I had some catching up to do after that Saturday of rest. Getting ready for church through coming home always gets about 3000 steps and I don't know why so many now that I think about it!

I'm off to a good start today. It's not as humid as it's been so I walked at my break this morning. 3500 steps already and I have a WATP video on my list of things to do tonight! I just hope I can follow through on that!

Well, I didn't do the WATP video but I was busy around the house until I dropped in the bed! I had 7091 steps and slept 7hrs 24 min.

I feel like riding a motorcycle would be similar to riding a horse. You wouldn't think it would be that much "work" but it is! I'm terrified of both though!

I do both. But have trouble making time to go enjoy them. But trying to get out more.

Only downside, is DH plans supper out as motorcycle destination.....so I usually eat well (but not diet)

I haven't checked in with my steps in several days. Nothing impressive. Even a couple of days when I didn't get my 5000 goal! But, I've been sleeping well so that's something! It is so hot and wet here. But not at the foot of my bed in front of the window AC unit. I need to do a WATP video tonight!

I have GOT to get moving and get some weight down. You are doing good. I keep getting distracted. Just had a lady quit at the office, out of the blue, and now everyone has to pick up her work, until we find a replacement. That means I get at least an hour more each day, and take work home with me.

Maybe my excercise is packing files back and forth.....LOL

Oh no! Packing files back and forth sounds like so terrible exercise! I hope you find (and train) a replacement soon!!

My fitbit only showed 4503 steps yesterday and 6hr 59min sleep. BUT..this was the night I walked 50 miles over the super Wal-Mart. I just think that the hand on the buggy keeps it from counting the steps!

Wrist Weights

I try to walk everyday and I just purchased 1 lb wrist weights and wow they make a big difference. It increases heart rate and will build muscle tone.

Bob! And good for you! My walking is more for mental health than physical health.

Karen...lawn mower, planks, exercise...... Good for you!!

We are now the proud owners of the Ab-Doer 260. Husband resisted it for years then finally ordered it. I was surprised that I actually like it. I only "did" it for a little while. I didn't want to be sore from it....not too sore at least.

I only had 4281 steps and 6 hr 56min sleep. That day of rest and after-church nap messed up both, but I sure had a good day!!

I did the Ab Doer a little last night and a little this morning. I'm so afraid I might over do and get sore.

leisha I have been using my new fitbit about a month now and love it! It motivated me to exercise again, so I've been doing WATP 2 mile and 1 lb weights. Leslie makes me feel comfortable and she's encouraging. Today I got in 9383 steps and 4 flights of stairs. I have trouble with sleep; logged 5 hr 18 min and awake 1 hr 7 min.

9000+ steps is huge!!! I get in front of the window AC sometimes and do a WATP video ..... just one mile 'bout kills me! and not often enough!

I have worked so hard on getting my sleep fixed and it has made such a difference in the way I feel and function every day. No caffeine after lunch and I go to be before 10 every night now. Our room is cold and very dark. I've been taking a Calms Forte all along. It's a totally natural thing that isn't melatonin, which I can't wake up from all day, it seems! Probably placebo effect, but I'll take it!

I didn't exercise yesterday so my steps were about 5000 but did do 4 flights of stairs. Sleep was 5/12 last night. Did the 2 mile power walk this morning with 1 lb weights so I have 3900 steps this morning. Leaving for a week ,ong trip today but will pack weights in hopes I'll be motivated to exercise. My joints feel much better when I do! Thank you for the tip on Calms Forte - I will check it out!
