I respect your decisions for yourself.

For other people reading this who might be in your position, you know that I think it's difficult to establish a baseline decision of what might be happening with you without a body composition assessment and a sleep study. (There's a backstory here for people who have not seen the previous discussions on this - but I will share with you that some of us maintainers have a similar profile in long-standing chronic insomnia that predates our weight loss.)

So, I do plan to make 2018 the year I get the sleep study, but a body composition is another story.

I'm not sure what type is the best such as DEXA vs something like a bod-pod test, but that may be an expense that I can really justify unless they are significantly less expensive than I'm guessing.

Interesting, Slow. I have chronic insomnia. JUDDD nearly cured it when I first began, but in the last year as I've been on more of a slippery slope and not super diligent with my rotations, it seems as bad as it once was. I don't have a lot of problems with falling asleep, mostly just staying asleep. Now that I'm doing well with my UD/DD rotations again, I hope the heavier sleep will return.

Also, hi all! I've been more of a lurker this month, just so busy! And gearing up to start directing another play. I directed a play last spring as well and found that my full time job + full rehearsal schedule worked really well for sticking to my DDs. I hope that will again be the case! Good to see what you all are up to!

I agree with Carly -- eating with no calorie restrictions with a 3-4 lb scale gain in a month falls into the maintenance category for me. But then I'm a binger, and Carly is not, so 3-4 lb may not be in the cards for me.

Anyway, I would do it LC (<50) and monitor daily (yes, me, scale--I always said there were times for scale use :-D)

I would love to do body composition study, but my doc said it wasn't available to me.

Haha, it sounds like maintenance to me too, but we're all different.

Once my husband didn't log his food or weigh in for three months, during which we were both pretty off track. I was logging and weighing in, but not faithfully and not really on track. He gained 7 pounds. I gained 27. Methinks a life without logging is not in the cards for me.

I have to agree that getting to eat what I want every night for a month with only a 3-4 pound bounce up is not bad. I would not call the experiment a failure. True- I was not binging, but I was enjoying my dinner with a bit of dessert most night.

These days I seem to gain 3-4 pounds following rotations- so...

Out and about tomorrow, catching up with people as DH is away on business for the remainder of the week.

I'm several exhibitions behind so this will be a good opportunity to catch up. I'm very much looking forward to Tate Modern’s comprehensive retrospective of Modigliani’s work.

And a play on the swing installation in the massive Turbine Hall
