Congrats on ignoring the scale! I planned to do that this week since I was just losing the last 3 weeks of bloat and not new numbers. Yeah, that did not work. I have been on the scale everyday. Your scale must be related to mine. He is quite the meanie. Of course I would probably be a jerk if 200 pounds stepped on me first thing in the morning.

Good luck focusing on school and enjoy feeling great!

C O N G R A T Z HONEYPIE, HP!!! 2 LBS OVERNIGHT! THIS IS AMAZING! HOW AWESOME that Stills is working like gang busters for you and in lightning speed! It is so disheartning to do FATKINS month after month and not lose wt. It's like drinking a gallon of vodka and expecting NOT TO GET HAMMERED! It's insanity. All this diet noise out there that makes people wanna say STOP!

KUTGW!

Awww, man. Thanks, B Sugar Free. I appreciate this note of support SO much ; and it really means SO much to me - because I have literally been CRYNG for three months, that I was on <20g carbs per day, and even at this high weight, losing almost NOTHING.

And it's not even like I was one of those crazy people going crazy on calories from fat. I was at around 1700 kcal, and I am 5ft 11. I was at around 1700, because I couldn't get it any lower on that plan. But at that level, I do NOT lose. Like, not even 1 lb every 2 weeks! I was also someone who already didn't pour cream in my coffee or anything like that - so it's not like I was EVER abusing the plan. KWIM? But it just wasn't enough, to shift almost anything!

I think my body literally doesn't let go of ANY fat, if I am still feeding it dietary fat. Read: 3oz of full fat cheese on my salads. Nothing EVER any crazier than that. So I think, yes, some us really are that sensitive in weightloss.

Stillman's still works out being between 30%-50% calories from fat even though people think it's "fat free", but that difference, and the non-fat dairy now, make ALL of the difference in the world, to some of us I guess.

P.S. If the scale is being a ******* to anyone, ignore this post - but to anyone else; I've just started a weekly weigh-in, no cheats challenge thread! Come join if you want to have a an official weekly weigh-in!

I have not been on Stillman's since July 1st, but I chose that as a baseline. The challenge is to go until September 1, no cheats, and to see how much we can get OFF!

Condiments, seasonings, protein powder, and ALL types of non-fat dairy products are ALLOWED!

Come one, and come ALL!! We can ALL be SKINNY MINNIES by September 1st!

Awwww, hugs to YOU, sweets! It was def the salt tho, Al! That stuff is the RUINER of GOOD INTENTIONS when they trick us with the extra fillers. I say just chug A LOT of water today, and hopefully you have it GONE by tomorrow, or by the next day, along with some EXTRA, exactly like B Sugar Free said!

Take my 2 pounds too!
It is a blessing that the texture of cottage cheese makes me want to hurl. It can't tempt me. Other cheese... that is another story. You are right, 3 is not bad. I was thinking it was Friday for some reason. I am grateful for any number that is lower than the week before.

Checking in on my phone before work again...
Reading here in bits and appreciating this group so very much...honest, positive, authentic. Thank you for taking me in!

I continue to be amazed at this appetite suppression without fat! LCHF worked great for me, until it didn't. I thought I'd found my way of eating for life so it was devastating to turn the corner and be gaining without changing a thing. I haven't had a carb in 3+ years.

Tomorrow will be a week on Stillman's and my scrub pants fit better already. I'll be off for the wknd and able to catch up here. I'm also hoping the book will be available soon.

Lunch is ready to go! Eggs, chix, mustard!

Have a great evening everyone!

Lolololololololol lolol!!!' Chicken all around!! Unlikely they will touch any of my salty mess. It was Lawrys Seasoning Salt. I think my scale is just bugging out. I weighed again mid day and it was the same as this morning. It should've been up a few more at that point , then it switched to "lo" and would tell me no further results. I'll give her a break and see what she can give in the morning!!

I'm gonna just eat it. I hate to waste. lol

Hi Amy!!! My goodness. 3 years! So we're you part of the zero carb phenomenon?? My longest was 9 months. Darn that all inclusive vacation to Antigua..

To hold you over until the book is available... check out the "Stillmans by the Book" thread farther down the main page. Good stuff.

I have not eaten a chicken breast on Still for so long...couple of years? I am going to buy some at Costco (tomorrow) and give the slow ro another chance. I'll have to find a spice I think I can stand and drag out the red hot.
Al, do you add any water when you do yours in the slow cooker? I think I saw you said you did not but want to make sure.

We eat a lot of thighs and deviled eggs. I do a higher fat Stills right now. I hated the chicken breast so much that I could barely eat it so I was barely getting 500-600 cals a day.

Bratty! U crack me up... "Guess I'll have to DRAG OUT the RED HOT!" I busted out with this one. OM, what dread! FUnny lady. Momma, add both thighs and ckn breasts, once it is all mixed in and shredded it will not be all thighs. I'm sure your losses with be the same. MAKE SURE TO CK THE INGREDIENT LIST FOR HIDDEN ARBOS. Nasty little buggers.

AM! WTG on the loose fitting scrubs. Gurl, my scrubs at the end of last semester were a WEE BIT TIGHT and way loose at the start. I'm like OH NO WAY am I busting through a pair of scrubs, ya'll. Time to hanker down and belly up to the SLOW RO! "RO, RO, RO your fat, gently down the crock-pot stream... merrily, merrily, merrily, merily ~ life is but a pair of skinny jeans..." Everybody now... "Ro, Ro..." LOLO

Okay, back to the torture chamber that is Nursing Text Books. ARGH!

Hugs and happy body ripping through our fat cells evening to we all.

xoxoxo

I don't use any liquid but B adds chicken stock, along with her seasonings. I've been using the McCormick rotisserie perfect pinch and it's really good. ( I also use the Jamaican Jerk- same brand) don't ask me why I switched it up and ruined it. lol. I do 2 layers and season in between, 8 hrs on low (8 breasts) once done, I shred into a big bowl then pour all the juice back over. (Minus the yucky bits that end up in the bottom)

Hey B!!! You beat me to it! Great suggestion to add the thighs and breasts!! That's the way to ease into it.

BRATTY!

Add about a half cut to a cup of Organic Ckn Stock as it makes kinda like a gravy and when the ckn is all shredded, the ckn soaks up the goodness. It's quite taste.

Give it whirl, gurl.

AL, I made a mistake last time and had my pot on HIGH and after 4 hours I went to take a gander and low-and-behold, the ckn was DONE and JUICIER THAN THE LAST 8 hour ride from my previous batch. It was marketly juicier. GIve it a try next time.

How'd you like my jingle? ahhahaha

Bratty, Check out the deviled egg recipe in the sticky- ya never know.. you may become a believer in cottage cheese!! Lol. And the thighs are legal, without the yummy skin. Actually the slow cooker might be the best thing to use to cooks whole tray of them, except once done, don't add back all the juice.

Thanks Al and B, I think I will do the thigh and breast mix. It sounds yummy!

Oh my! I laughed when you talked about not wanting to bust out of your scrubs. You do that in front of a patient and they may bust some stitches laughing. No good!

I am off to hang with the hubby and Big Brother (the show!). G'night all!

Al, I too have a big pot. It holds like 8-10 breasts. It's two layers of ckn. I never fill it to the top either as my pot is big. The meat was really juicy. Oh, and it wasn't frozen, but kinda room temp. So that's to be noted as you like to put them in frozen. I always get the Organic Costco big plastic container. It's worth the extra 2 bucks to get Organic. DO a google on it.

I am also a chicken breast no-can-goer, anymore-er!!!

I had a horrific chicken breast on Stillman's experience about 3 years ago, and I literally HATE it, now. I could MAYBE try some again this winter, in soup. But otherwise, no way jose!!!

I am currently really into just cooking LEGS. Not just the drumstick, but the whole leg. It is WAY less puke-tastic this way, I find.

I am trying to gear myself up to facing I might have a small bounce up tomorrow, because my two pound drop today was huge for me, and a bounce up would normally be the norm for me after that. Even on Stills.

However, whatever it says tomorrow will be ok though - I have to actually remember that and not let myself be discouraged,- because the day after that is my official weigh-in day for recording purposes, and this has been THE best week I've had of the whole last three months that I've been wasting my time on FATKINS!! Just hanging out, and basically staying FAT!

Hope everyone is feeling good on their plan! Do you guys all take lunch to work? I'm lucky that I can eat lunch at home right now, so I'm trying to also make lunch my main meal of the day.

Have a great night everyone, and great job on another day DONE!!

Thanks for the psyllium husk idea, it worked

Al I hope you lost some of the gain today

I dropped .6 after hovering around the same weight for days, hopefully the loss sticks.

I rarely eat the chix breast either, usually just roast up a big ole pan of skinless, boneless thighs with the mccormick rotisserie seasoning

Honeypie- I posted in your weigh in thread.

Hope everyone has a great day

I have been reading all of your posts from my phone and have so much to say but it will have to wait til tonight when I'm not posting on my phone. Just know they made me smile and laugh and brightened my day. Thanks ladies!!!! I was ready to jump ship here and leave this forum but I found you all in the nick of time. It's a God thang!! That and my dear friend Jeanie who doesn't mind when I text her nonsense or pics of food throughout my day.. lol!

B, love how you say YIPPY. Just makes me laugh.. Congrats on everyone's losses. I too am down 2 lbs since last Friday even though I stayed the same from yesterday. I'm shrinking. I can feel it!!!!!

Fatkins...hahahaha. This is the only thing that works, for me anyway. I believe God helped me find this board, I was so depressed last Wed when I saw that astronomical number- I thought will I always battle this weight!?!!? NOt So!!! Even if I only lose 2 lbs a week I will be at my goal in a month!!

Have a wonderful day.. I'm off to work and will be back later. I love you all!!!! (Sorry for lack of emojis- sometimes my phone lets me and sometime it doesn't!)

I slept so bad last night. Stupid heart kept jerking me awake. I was up a little this morning but I expected it. My body likes to hover on 211 for a few days to play head games with me. It should move on tomorrow.

Costco run today to stock up on chicken and eggs. I am actually looking forward to my pot of breasts and thighs. I will have to look for the rotisserie seasoning. Do you guys just sprinkle a little or are you pretty heavy with the seasoning?

It is a HOT but beautiful day today. I intend to enjoy it!

I am happy you didn't leave. Stick with it. The weight will come off. Lean on Him for strength.

I work at home so I thankfully don't have to worry about what to bring with me.
The bounce ups are hard to deal with after a large drop. My body does the same thing. Sometimes I will just ignore the scale for a couple days after the big drops.
