Got some things to fall into place today at office, so feeling pretty good tonight.

Local gym had special---$40 per month Nov and Dec for any classes they offer.
I committed....paid my $80 today, and going to do 6 month membership. Maybe that will get me off my duff.....

Walk/ran for about a half hour or so...beautiful weather! I lifted for over an hour and a half yesterday! kicked my own tushie! All good! sore today!! Lifting again tomorrow

My legs are sore.......I have always had upper body strength, and excercising. Hate to work the legs.....

So working out the sore today, and another 5:30 am class tomorrow. Hoping it gets better.....

Did 10 minutes today.....all stretching

SOOOO looking forward to the exercise class tomorrow. Dumbbell workout. Monday was kettleball survival........

Guess something is better than nothing.... Steps in the right direction.

I'm just here to say hi! I'm still under the weather. I will be so glad to get back to normal. I pray that this is the ONLY cold I get this winter! I usually avoid them but I spent way too much time with my sister not to get this one!

Class is called Boot Camp........But she seems to have lots of ways of making me hurt. It will get better. I knew I was out of shape, so no surprises. Only that I have gotten up twice this week at 5 am to go to the class

Hoping 2 months will make enough difference that I will want to continue.

So tired of not seeing better results. Currently reading Chris Powell's book, "Choose to Lose: The 7 Day Carb Cycle Solution". Going to try the turbo carb cycling in the book & see if I can get better results. I feel like I'm working my butt off & getting no where. Frustrated, but not giving up!

Leisha-that's twice the day before! good job!!

Gypsy-I feel your pain! I've been doing a lot of exercise and intense weight training since early July and gained 5 lbs while counting calories I just stated carb nite, which is a carb cycling program. I dropped 6 lbs the first week (just low carb losses - but progress!), then did my carb nite, gained 3 back and have been trying to lose it again this week. Still up 1.5 from my low, but with weight training I know there's fluctuation. but, I can SEE a difference...I'm visibly leaner. I do my next carb nite tomorrow and am hoping to not gain much and that it'll go back down more quickly... We'll see. But at least I feel I'm making progress. I'm not as worried about the scale. I'm working to build muscle and burn fat-trying for body recomposition

I also reduced my cardio and only do 1-2 sessions a week. I'm hitting e weights 3x faithfully though

Thanks for sharing that, Julie. Gives me hope. Doing straight low carb is not working for me now like it used to when I was younger. That's why I added in the exercise. I'm like you, trying to reshape my body. I do 3 days of weights included in the circuit training I usually do on Mon, Wed, Fri., with cardio on Tue & Thurs. I mixed up the days this week though. I'm hoping by building muscle my body can burn more fat. At least that's what I keep reading <fingers crossed>. I did my measurements & I am down a 1/2 inch in the hips & bust since last month, so that's a little progress. My problem is I wanna get on the scale 3 times a week & every time it doesn't move or fluctuates back up I get all bummed out. I need to try and force myself to only weigh once a week.

I walked half of my mile this morning. First time I've walked since I got the "cold" 2 weeks ago. I didn't want my legs to get sore and I really didn't feel like going any farther when I stopped. I guess I'll work back up to it soon. Except it's going to be so cold, for here anyway, for the next two weeks. It will be hard to get up and get out there! But, I'm going to bundle up and try!

Leisha-good job!! Yes, that's so early for cold weather! hope you can still get put there and enjoy the walking!

Karen-good job!!

Gypsy-I've lost a bunch of inches since starting weight training (some progress pics in my journal) but the scale is about the same as when I started in July. My bf has gone down 4% though-which goes to show that the scale doesn't know anything! I'd much rather be a smaller and leaner me who weighs the same but looks radically different! (not that I don't still weigh, because I do, and want the scale to go down too .)

Lifted yesterday! I'm not feeling well today. I've got a mild version of my dd's cold. I don't feel awful,nice got a scratchy throat and an annoying cough that kept me up most of the night. I'm dizzy and lightheaded today . Hope it passes!

45 min cardio yesterday.

Today, just not feeling too swooft. Not sure why, but took the day off. Will get back to it & circuit/strength train tomorrow.
