Medi vs Atkins

Medi threads are very inactive so I thought I would ask about it here. I am thinking of medi vs atkins but a friend told me about it and it doesn't seem to be much difference in the two. Anyone have any experience with both?

Honestly, I'm no expert but I think Medi is superior for me given the weekly check-in, supplements to support combating hunger and I have gone it alone in the past and been unsuccessful. I'd like to think their, medi loss, comprehensive approach will better suit me. I should note my health insurance is picking up the tab. Only $10 copays for me to go plus initial starter kit @ $75.

My two cents...

Restart

Good Morning,

I am doing a restart! Looking for friends and support. Especially for this first week. Unless you've been through this, people don't know how hard this first week is!!!!

Day one is today.

I think I will also use this site as a mini diary to write my journey, struggles, etc; need an outlet for the tough times, other than food!!!!

Hope to hear.

3 pm

Hi All,

3 pm. The dreaded time when my blood sugar and energy is low. I miss food and think about it.

However, feeling better than usual for day 1.

Here's to getting through the night. Husband out of town and I get bored.

Finding the day prior i plan what I'm gonna eat. Maybe you need to eat more frequently to combat sugar dips?
Usually it looks like this:

7am egg, egg whites 2oz &. Spices
9:30am turkey roni slices
12:30/1pm lunch = left overs from dinner night prior
( today Italian grilled chicken with a cup of frozen broccoli reheated)
3pm shake w/ ice
5:30pm dinner (tonight meatballs w/cup of spag squash)
7:30/8pm sf jello

Although... if you're on week one you cant have the veggies 😔

Today begins week 3 for me

Day 2

Contrats on starting week 3. Can't wait to get there

Thanks for the ideas. I think having one more eating time would help. I will try that.

I made it through the night, though, so very excited about that!!!!!

Don't feel too bad right now. 1/2 hour until lunch, have a little dip, but not like yesterday.

Have a busy evening so should be easier, until bed time, which is the hardest! BUT, have a few strategies.

What do you do to keep away the evening munchies?

Close Call!

I was in the break room, reaching for a cookie, cuz, dang it, this is so hard.

Lucky for me someone walked in and I stopped. Took a deep breath and left.

My goodness, how quick our decisions can take us down a path.

2:45 pm. Going to have my approved snack and move on.

SO GLAD I was diverted.

Shake or SF jello for the WIN!!

I've been tempted to go off course too. But then I remember how the last time I had cake it tasted "tinny" and my all time fave Oreos don't taste the same either. And I just want it this time. Heard "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." that will be my mantra for now-

How are you doing? Imagine you've found a groove with food. Anything different for breakfasts? Might get sick of eggs one of these days...

I restarted on the 20th. I go back to weigh in on the 27th. Can't wait to see. I don't have a home scale, but I can feel a loss in my clothes. 1st week sucks but I'm determined. I have been drinking lots of green tea and an occasional diet a&w, to kill the sweet craving, and keep myself "full". Best of luck to everyone.

Hello!

This may be a long shot, since no one has posted here since Feb, but here I am. I am back on track I am on my third day of week one. How is everyone else doing? I was doing Medi August-October last year. Lol. It was for a short period of time but I had a great success - granted I was losing weight on my own before hand. I lost a total of 30lbs! I wish I had stuck with it because I was in the right mind set and I wasn't letting anything stop me; though, This is not so bad. I did have a huge migraine yesterday.

SO HOW IS EVERYONE? If anyone has Instagram and would like more frequent support. You can add me on my new weight loss IG @rendezlose I have not posted on there yet since it is new, but I will be posting more frequently on there and you can personally message me! I am here to help!!!
