Thanks Jigglebuster for the suggestion to put a pillow behind me on the thigh stretch. It helped me get down a little further. Right now I have to do it with one hand behind me instead of two. I injured my thigh last year and it was twitching and aching for a long time. Now it's healed but tight so I'll slowly coax it back to being flexible.

Okay, I'll go do my AM/PM video now. A lot of times I'll cheat and get to the AM in the evening and then do the PM a few hours later. Does anyone else do it that way too?
When I try and do the AM/PM without stopping or the original video all the way through
my abs start shaking and aching so I know they're weak...anyway I'll know they will get stronger if I keep at it. That's the beauty of Callanetics.

Have a good evening.
I actually like doing AM/PM all in one workout. I like mixing it up. I also sometimes do all three of the quick Callanetics routines for one workout. I just skip the warmup on the second and third segment.

I have been getting cramps in my calves when trying to do the pelvic rotations and scoops. Any suggestions?

I have not been pulsing the last few days. Instead, I've been raking the lawn in the morning before work. There is an acre to rake and bag, and I've gotten a quarter done the last two mornings. Two more to go!

Then I'll be back with Callan. In the meantime, my interstitial tissue (muscle between the ribs) is surprisingly feeling it.

kdoss, Oh! So glad it's working out for you!

Keep it up, Bronwyn!

I wish the books were as cheap in Canada, Suzy. You've convinced me to keep my eye out for a good deal, though.

Maybe try massaging them before hand? But check your vitamin b12, potassium and magnesium intake. A deficiency in any one can cause your calves to cramp like that.

Thanks Jigglebuster. Yes, I think I do need more of those nutrients. I love that you are raking leaves. I remember that was always a great workout for me as well. I would go back and forth between raking right handed and left handed for balance. It was really difficult to do on the left side but kinda fun. I do love fall. So beautiful

Well, the raking is done, and I did indeed switch sides. It was one of the most beautiful falls this year, with mild weather and all the gorgeous foilage. I felt like I was floating on a cloud!

Tomorrow I get to hear Callan's calming voice.

Happing pulsing everyone!

Yes yes, when you do these lean forward from the hip lick you are diving in a pool, keep arms either inline with your dive or in front of you, as you thighs get stronger you will be able to raise them higher. Lower your bottom towards your heels in a clean slow line, as you reach your heels scoop your pelvis and lift from your inner thighs.. you may straighten your torso and arms straight up as you slowly come up but if your calves still feel pressure stay in that predive set up.. again as your thighs strengthen you will be able to straight your torso more as you come off your heels.. but always always lift from your inner thighs!

On the rotations, put your arms in front of you on the back on a piece of furniture, bar or simply held in front, as your thighs get stronger you will be able to reach up above your head.

Hi everyone!

How are you all doing!?

I have been slack on my pulsing, due to a few health issues, but I'm back up and ready to go!!!!

suzy, Good for you in having such a positive outlook! And, yes, Callanetics is known to have helped many with arthritis! Have you ever looked into ingesting calcium bentonite clay water?

I, too, have been slack on exercise. While at a conference I managed to get a couple of days in but nothing this week. Praying for all of us to feel better soon!

Thanks for the advice! I am able to do Callanetics while my husband is watching tv. I have been just using the book instead of the video and it seems to work fine. I probably don’t work quite as hard but at least I am doing it!

You might find you're getting better results by not "working quite as hard".

I'm going to see if I can work through some cramps today. It usually helps to do Callanetics.

Happy pulsing everyone!

This mornings hour was really nice! I felt strong, yet inflexible, but without the pressure to be anything but where I am in that. My breath was strong and my mind was present. Feeling good, and glad I made took the time.

I have a suggestion....

I'd like to get this thread back to where it once was.

If everyone could not just post that they pulsed for an hour, but what they experienced in that hour - ah ha moments, improvements etc., and if you could post what you're experiencing as a result of Callanetics.... I think it would help us all stay motivated more than just checking in. I know that's what helped me in the past.

So tell us! What was different this time / today during your day?

I've been out of training for work, but squeezed in two sessions. Clearly, my body likes evening sessions so I'll stick with that routine for now. My 'ah ha' moment is that I'm able to sit on my heels more comfortably, which is making the pelvic rotations easier.

That's great Bronwyn!

Knowing your best time is essential to keeping it up.

Have you kept a measurement of your calves? I found as mine melted away, the easier it became to find my positioning.

No, I don't take any measurements. My clothes fit better and overall I'm beginning to look pretty good in clothes!

Ok so I did Callanetics Extreme and it was difficult but so worth it! I usually prefer Callan’s soothing voice but I must say I really enjoyed Lacey this week. Go figure. I am really feeling my hips and thighs burn! I had to sit in an epson salts bath to recover. Ready to tackle another one tomorrow!

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! The ability to mix it up and do a different video is part of what I like about Callanetics.

I'm going to see if I can slip an hour into my afternoon, before the sun goes down. I keep hearing Callan saying we have to fight gravity every moment of every day, and it's keeping me from slouching. Just that has helped my shoulders and the tension between my shoulders. My chest feels stronger too!

Nothing to add except another hour down. I looked at my profile in the mirror yesterday and noticed that my butt isn't sagging as much as it had before!
