Well, I feel really good today. I'm not sure why. I have no hip pain this morning. I think I might be gearing up to my re-start! ENOUGH of the self sabotage on the weekends!

Tami, girl I'm proud of you for still being here. This place is for LONG TERM comittment! Up or down, it will still be here for you! So many have come, lost weight, then disappeared. I believe in my HEART that this place is the reason that I haven't gained ALL my weight back!

Ang, I might have eaten ALL the chocolate that I was given on Valentines day, but they also had a pizza party at lunch. I left the premises. I wasn't going to make matters worse!

Angela I feel for you. I operated a daycare for 26 years. I noticed as the years went by the mothers started making excuses for their children's behavior. It seemed to be other people's fault not their child. The respect for others just wasn't there anymore. If the child had poor grades I was told it was the teachers fault. Instead of parents helping with homework, I was told it was all the teachers responsibility. I was shocked! I helped my children with homework, they took responsibility for their behavior. It's just a different world today . I think today's children will turn out fine. I'm sure the generations before us thought our children were terrible and they turned out fine. You are very important and you are making a difference in their lives. To this day I still remember certain teachers with fondness as they will remember you!

Hello Everyone! I have typed this up twice already. My stupid computer keeps freezing up and so everything I have typed has gotten deleted. Twice! It makes me want to toss this laptop out the window! Anyways I've got a busy day today and tomorrow. My DD is performing in a talent showcase called Coffee and Cake tonight and I had to make some cheese cake bars. Tomorrow my kids Rover team is presenting their Rover to the head of NASA Robert Lightfoot and other really big, big wigs from the space industry. They are so excited. Their rover is about 85% finished and they are really trying to get as much done as they can. It looks so cool. There will be food at this one as well. I plan on making it work. Obviously I will not be eating the dessert tonight, but I will have the coffee. I love coffee. Tomorrow hopefully they will have some LC choices to me to enjoy. I have been doing really good this week and I hope so show some progress the next time I weigh.

I'm pretty stoked...wooo hooo! Still 1st week induction so no cheats. Was tempted by a diet drink yesterday but was afraid it would send me out of ketosis...so declined. At least cravings have been silenced whew!!

Once again - grateful I didn't gain. I did OK with 2 out of my 3 goals yesterday. I skipped the wine last night and ate very little of the tortilla lasagna and Mexican rice that was served but I did indulge in several of the chocolate table sweets. One down, one to go. Goal again for tonight is the same - no sweets, no wine and strict on plan all day with just tiny tastes of any homemade carby entree that might be served.

So many are doing so well this month - you know who you are. Good job!!

Tami - congratulations on your 2 year anniversary. You may have gained some weight back during that time, but it could have been so much worse. Your determination is admirable and you will get there.

I meant to weigh but forgot. My kitten has a terrific time playing with the scale. She pushes her little toys under it then tries to retrieve them by moving the scale and putting her paws under it. Really cute but sometimes this distracts me. So, this morning I forgot to weigh until I was dressed.

I want to take off 5 more pounds this month. The cravings are almost gone from my holiday splurge. I've been good...no sugar or starch just slightly more low carb things than I should. I made a whole mess of bacon. This is my go-to for cravings. The high fat content really helps alot.

Oh crazy days of school! Its the end of the grading period. I LOVE the kids but its tough to keep them occupied while some finish their big six weeks exam and others are doing make up work etc. The girls are fine but sixth grade boys can't sit and just chat. They just aren't mature enough yet. I HATE fussing at them so they sometimes get away some silliness.

Tami, is that Rover Team something organized by their school? Its sounds really cool! We have a small selected group that actually makes a car during the summer which is really cool! These extra real-life applications are so fun for those kids that really get into it.

I went on a non-diet bender yesterday. I'm going to do a "don't ask, don't tell" on the scale today. Thinking of waiting until next Tuesday to weigh again. I have 4 days off in a row where I'm going to try to make up for my transgressions. Have a great weekend all!

Hey guys just checking in. I have not weighed in since Monday but today is moving day and I'll be unpacking my scale and weighing in tomorrow morning. I'm not sure what to expect. I've been on plan with the exception of Wednesday when my coworkers took me out to lunch at my favorite Thai place (I landed a job in our HR department so it was a farewell lunch) I got a veggie and shrimp/chicken stir fry. Asked for no rice and extra veggies so it could have been worse but I'm sure the sauce did some damage. I'll check in with you all tomorrow! Stick with it everyone!

Emotionally driven cravings are bad. Just not feeling too up. I'm a slave to others feelings and I tend to take them on...feeling like somehow I did something even though I know I didn't. I've tried to fight it all my life and I've gotten pretty good at deflecting these emotions but sometimes it just gets to me. I can tell that our Math Facilitator is frustrated and she's good at letting us all see it. When I'm in a bad mood, usually only my family sees it. I keep it professional and keep it to myself at work. If you are in a position of authority keep your bad day to yourself. Super frustrating.
Kids were great today...half day with kids and half day of planning with the math team.

I'm driving to Austin tomorrow with DH to take our son our old bedroom furniture. It will be nice to see him in his new apartment. I'm so proud of my baby boy. this is the child that I raised. It was just he and I for his entire life. I'm so proud of him. As of June, he will be completely self-sufficient. He graduated and got his job a year ago and has already been promoted (We wean our kids off monetarily so they have a chance to learn to balance it all. Like next month he begins paying his car insurance for the first time and then in June he will be off our cell phone plan.)

Its been a good week. Had my first sandwich since Christmas yesterday. Bread is my nemesis, and always has been. I used to grind my own flour for whole wheat hamburger buns that developed a cult following amongst friends and family. Tastiest thing you could put in your mouth at a bbq. "Oh Stan brought buns! YAY!!!" Those words were stuck in my head for years and years. I baked buns for an entire church dinner once. Three or four times I baked over a hundred for small events and parties.

But alas....

So I made these and had my roast beef sammie last night with deli mustard. Not bad. https://youtu.be/o4l60zHPw9c

No way was that 'bread' as the world sees it, but if it had been, I would have been UP a whisker this morning....not down.

I had a few cheats, but not a bad effort. I go back to the orthopedist Monday. Very anxious to hear what he's going to say. The tear in the meniscus is still there, but the exercise therapy has really strengthened the muscles so that I can manage a whole lot better. Going to ask for another month of rehab, which will also give me another month to drop even more weight before going on to the next step of treatment (whatever that may be). I'm just not ready for surgery, but that may definitely be in my future. Sigh. Enjoy your Saturday everyone!!

Looks like everyone is doing good here yayyy

I'm still moving down, I've had will power and not cheated until this am lol but I'll run it off today with activities planned. I had a Whataberger breakfast of eggs and sausage annddd the bisquit (!) Small stumble but back to it once again
