TGIF!!!

Happily, I was down another 1/2 lb this morning, for a total of 14 lbs. So very close to my first mini goal of 15 lbs.

The next few days will be nuts:

Saturday, train to NYC to spend the night with my Mom. We are shopping, going out to dinner, seeing the show Wicked.

Monday, I am leaving work early to go to Monday Night Football as my beloved Eagles take on the Redskins in Philly. I am spending the night in a hotel.

Tuesday, I fly to Ottawa on business.

I get home for 24 hours (Friday) and then head to London Saturday on business for the next week!

Congrats on your half pound loss and reaching your first mini goal wiz! Great work!

I'll be happy if I shed a pound this week, my weigh in is Sunday morning. Supper tonight was steak tips and thick sliced tomatoes. Having a glass of pinot grigio now though lol

I have totally hit a plateau, just hanging on to this 5 pound gain. posting my menus this week:

B: cottage cheese with blueberries

S: hard boiled egg, ham slice, V-8

L: chicken salad (homemade, OP) high fiber wrap, lettuce and celery

D: homemade chicken soup in the crock pot, no starch, just veggies, broth, and meat

Greetings from London!

That menu looks pretty good, Buckhuntress...I wonder what is making you plateau??

My weigh-in on Saturday morning before heading off to the UK was good. Down another 1/2 lb!

But I have to say, my eating has been terrible here so far. Too many meals out, too many temptations, etc. etc. etc. It's hard to eat OP on a 5-day business trip in another country while taking customers out to all these meals.

We'll see what the scale says when I get home!

Just checking in, down 2 lbs, woo hoo!

has anyone tried the home delivery meal services like hello fresh? and were you able to adapt them to OP eating?

How was London wiz?

Yes! I switched to using my fitbit for food tracking and it doesn't give me the grams of carbs, just the percent-I've got to get back to tracking grams too! Low carb works!

Hello

Hi,Iím new to the forum and will be starting South Beach Monday. I have been trying keto with little to no success, went off the diet for Thanksgiving although not that horrible but if you continue to eat all the fats and then add more fiber or veggies Iíve found I gain. The two shots of super good bourbon 6 nights in a row and the catered dinner show one night didnít help at all.
So,Iím doing a short egg fast, then Friday I have a dinner again. Iíll get some shopping done this weekend and start by jumping in the deep end on Monday.
I lost about 25 lbs back in 2004 on SB but I now have more like 40 to lose this time and finding it really difficult now that Iím swirling the menopause drain, plus,I had some serious health issues/stress in the past 14 years which I believe has screwed up my metabolism. I also canít exercise as much as I did back then due to my joint disease. (Walking and rowing are limited) But,just got a recumbent stationary bike deleivered yesterday which hubby will put together this weekend so should be able to do tons of that and some yoga, light weight lifting.
My mother is doing it with me in another state so Iíll have her for motivation!

Hello all!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are getting in readiness for the rest of the holiday season

I got home from my business trip to London and was off for an amazing 10-day vacation in Puerto Vallarta, followed by the long Thanksgiving weekend. As you can imagine, the scale was not very kind to me. Then again, that was no surprise as I really didn't remotely follow SBD for about 3 weeks

But I have been *pretty* good since then (not perfect, but okay) and I worked up enough courage to get back on the scale. I am up 2.5 lbs. At this point, I am hoping to maintain my current weight and then put my nose to the grindstone in January.

Tracydr, !! It's a tough time of year to start, but I always say that not gaining through the holidays is almost like losing weight!!

LinCo, nice to see you checking in! It's been a long time...

Buckhuntress, how is it going with you?

FYI. I am hosting my family Christmas on the 16th - 30 people!! And I have one more business trip, LA on Sunday. So I may not check in too often; however, I will promise to start a new 2018 thread for all of us in early January.
