2017 Ketonix...I love it!

I'm one of those people that likes to know where my ketones are. My weight loss slowed down last month and I needed to know my ketones. I do test blood ketones but that cost can add up fast, so I ordered the Ketonix. I can test everyday, even twice a day! I have been doing a few blood test at the same time I use the Ketonix and comparing the results. Now I can just use the Ketonix and if it registers yellow, I'm good! If it's a low green, I need to change something, and/or fast! It was expensive, but I plan to do this for the rest of my life, so I will get my money's worth from it. I ordered it from Amazon. The Ketonix website isn't very user-friendly.

Yay! I hope you will like it as much as I do. I tend to stay in the Upper green (7-9 flashes) to low yellow (1 flash)

On my blood testing, that is between 1.5 to 2 units. Which is GOOD!

How's it going with your new Ketonix?

Hope it works better than the one I have. It never correlated with my blood ketones.....

An update for myself...It's very picky about blowing into it VERY CONSISTANTLY everytime. I don't think it's precise, like blood meter, but it does tell me whether I'm in ketosis or not, throughout the day. I like to use it after certain foods to see if they affect my ketosis. It's still cheaper than the newest brand tester, which is $600.

WIth that said, on another keto blog, some people are using a cheap, home alcohol breathalyzer. The cheap ones don't distinguish between alcohol or acetone. As long as they are getting anything above zero, they know they are burning ketones! They're only around $12. It might be worth trying???

Thats funny that you mentioned that. I have heard that people on low carb could give a false positive reading on the breathalyzer. I am a bartender on weekends and I am constantly worried that if I get pulled over and I have to do the test I will fail.. NO GOOD! try explaining to the police NOOO I WASNT DRINKING I SWEAR! I EAT KETO! hahahhaha (BTW to defend myself, I was once driving home and got pulled over because the cop said I drive to close to the LINE! ) out where I live they are very very extra......

Oooh, on the one hand, how great to have a very inexpensive option for testing for ketosis; on the other, yikes, I don't think it would be easy to explain ketosis to the cops in my area today! Better keep an eye on the speedometer for sure.

I have never heard of this! Do those of you have it think it's better than just using the urine sticks?

Do I need one? I'm a sucker for wanting all the toys.
