Back on track

I gradually got myself back on carbs this past year. I gained around 5lbs & 2-3 inches. I'm not considered overweight on charts, but as we know love handles & weight around the middle is not good!
I started back on LCHF last week. I weighed & measured myself last Sat. & did it again yesterday & already lost 2lbs & 1 inch off my waist!!! I was very surprised because I didn't go ultra low on carbs last week. I still had my poison coffee creamer....I'm lactose intolerant and can't do cream. Only other carbs I had was from veggies.

Welcome back and congrats on your speedy results! Some people use coconut cream if they can't do dairy. It might be a good option for you...............

i use coconut milk instead of cream sometimes. it is really tasty!

Your situation sounds a lot like mine. Have you ever tried butter coffee (or a kind of "bulletproof" coffee, it's also called)? I looove my coffee, and some mornings, breakfast for me is a hot cup of coffee with a big spoon of coconut oil and a Tablespoon of Irish butter, all blended together. Sounds a little bit gross, but try it! You could add Stevia if you like it sweet, I don't so I omit that. Some recipes do call for cream too, but I don't miss it at all. I guess lactose in the butter might still be a problem for you but I admit I don't know too much about lactose intolerance.

My husband uses a coconut cream that is really good. Me...well I like a shot of coffee with my cream
