I don't use tofu, but this was pretty easy, tasty and you could do it as a stir fry (without and air fryer) and it's fine. Just stir fry everything for 5 minutes over high heat AFTER you saute the carrots for a few minutes to slightly soften them:

Our season is changing here and it's feeling like fall so these warm stir frys are what I love especially if easy to make I did 0 point butternut squash fries in my air fryer for lunch and they were so satisfying. I'm doing a couple 1 pt franks and zucchini for dinner tonite in my new toy. It's a game changer for me for sure.

Down today at my weigh-in but couldn't find my book and my location isn't computerized because we're pretty much considered rural, so looking overall I'm down a total 39.4 lbs from my WW starting weight. I was down 46 lbs on 7/26 so after a tough few weeks, I now have about 7 lbs to lose to get back to where I was 2 months ago. Things are not that far gone so I will soldier on. My leader today said she likes my can-do attitude. It felt good to hear that.

I'm doing some research on topics covered in the new support group I went to at the hospital last nite. We talked about resting metabolic rate in relation to the amount of calories we each personally require. This group is all about the stats Also talked about body fat percentages for determining goal weights. That method gets me to goal sooner

Dottie, I finally got around to checking out ifyouhaveanegg. It turns out I follow her on Connect. Doh! She has a FB page so I follow that now too. You're right-lots of great air fryer ideas. Getting one is the best thing I've done so far on my WW journey-a game changer. Veggies taste so good when air fried My air fryer just really makes me happy

Hi everyone. It's feeling a bit lonely here but that seems to be how this thread has been sometimes. Last week overall went well for me. It feels good to wake up in the morning and be satisfied w the previous day's food choices. I've been tracking more closely and measuring everything. My strategy is to go back to a beginner's mindset once again.

One thing I'm working on accepting right now is the reality of my daily food requirements being less as my weight drops and I move closer to goal. At higher weights, I was used to eating more than what I can now. It's sort of a challenge to get all my daily nutrition needs met w foods I like eating let alone having room for extras and treats and still lose. It's the challenge of starting to think like a smaller person that I'm working on.

So I hope all is well w my WW buddies. This journey seems to present constant challenges but the rewards are great for staying the course and figuring out what course corrections are needed along the way. I'm grateful for the support I get here and in my meetings and on Connect.

I'm going to try and do a garlic shrimp in the air fryer for supper.
I'll do a small sample first to get the time right, I'd hate to ruin the whole batch.

I'm thinking I'll spritz it with butter spray and toss with some garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Shrimp can be tricky to not overlook. I'll be interested to know how many mins u use. I have an oil spray I got online that has garlic in it. Also I think cajun seasonings are good on shrimp

The WW plans I have tried in the past were the old versions, which means so many protein exchanges, so many milk exchanges, etc and were pretty much starvation diets. I decided to pry open the wallet and purchase the SmartPoints started kit on eBay. I ordered it yesterday, so will be a few days before it arrives. Am anxious to get started.

Went to Branson last weekend with my daughter. She took me to a place where you dress up in old-time western clothes and they take pictures. Those pictures made the decision for me, I need to get rid of this blubber.

I don't know how fast a person loses weight on SmartPoints but whatever it is, is better than being at a standstill.

Bracelet if you google "different weight watchers plans", you can find a lot of blogs with some of the old (and new) plans, which might help you decide which is for you
Of course the official WW site is smartpoints or simpyfilling, but an awful lot of people on social media stick to the old points plus and older plans

Yes, I have looked into the different versions and have decided to go with SmartPoints. Even if the weight loss is slow, it is a heck of a lot faster than I have been losing the past couple of years, which is zilch.

Bracelet, the smart points have really helped me make a shift in my eating habits. I feel like the weight loss may not be fast, but prospects for keeping the weight off looks better this time around for me.

I had a really good week and was down 3.4 yesterday at my meeting. I have about 37 more lbs to go to reach goal and I am very determined right now to knock out this goal once and for all and move one

Sue, Wow, only 37 pounds to go. Can't wait until I reach that point. So glad it is going well for you.

Had a great find today. I am a relatively new user of the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker. Today I found an Instant Pot cookbook with Smart Point counts on each recipe. I ordered it from eBay, but read the reviews on Amazon, and all reviews said the recipes are very good.

In the meantime, in preparation for the 'diet' which is soon to come, I have been eating everything in site. All the more reason to wish that the starter kit and book arrive soon.

Bracelet, my daughter in law uses her instapot a lot. You will have to let us know how u like the cookbook. For me it's all about learning a new way of making satisfying meals at home, which has been a challenge since I've never been much of a cook, more of a heat up foods sort of person. I think I will throw together something for the crockpot today speaking of instapot. I'm with my grandsons in San Jose today so a nice fall stew could feed us all without too much work

Yesterday I received the Smart Points starter kit and today the Instant Pot/smart points cookbook arrived, so I plan to start the process tomorrow.

I do have a question. Besides water, salt and pepper, one of the recipes calls for
1 1/2 cup each broccoli and cauliflower
1 cup carrots
1 lg onion
1 tsp each dried oregano and basil
1 chick bouillon cube
The recipe says 6 servings at 2 Smart Points each. That means there are 12 points in the whole thing, but in the Weight Watchers Smart Points starter kit, all of these vegetables are zero points. I am obviously missing something here and would appreciate if someone would explain this to me. Thanks.

If the recipe is calculated on just the totals (fat, protein, carbs, etc) and not through the official smartpoints method, it will count everything.
You can re-calculate it using the SP method for a more accurate count.

I made a tracker, followed the instructions on this website to insert it in my signature... no luck. Tried everything I could think of... no luck. Saved the tracker to my computer and uploaded it into my signature, and I can see it in the user control panel, in the signature field, but it does not show up below my posts. Any suggestions?

I go into the user control panel and edit signature then enter the URL and then preview it before saving it. I see there is also a place to download files from your computer. I think there is someone also that can help if you're having trouble.

Thanks for your help with the ticker. A few more attempts were unsuccessful, so I give up. Besides, my stats are to the left, so no need to repeat them.

Well, it's after 8 PM and I survived the first day of WW. I still have 2 daily points left, but have no desire to use them.

I am in the process of developing a few smart points recipes that might be kind of good and interesting. We'll see what develops.

Well I am alive . Not so well but alive

I have not been on plan for almost four months now. But I have actually only gained about 6 lbs so that is good in a way.
I haven't been to a meeting either.BUT tomorrow is the day! I'm going back .

I went to the store today and bought some Marie Callendar(spelling) Delight frozen meals. I had one for supper it was 12 SP but wonderful!!! The others I purchased were 7 SP . It has more food than WW meals also. I was so excited to find them. I will have tomatoes and green beans or salad with them. Fruit for desert.

Well I'll be back but I wanted to check in again. Happy to see Sue & Dottie are still here.
Sorry I was gone for so long. Had so much going on in my life it was hard.
But I've decided to take control once again.

I'll change my ticker when I weigh in tomorrow evening.

Well I went and faced the music
I was up 247.8 that's ten something since last time I was there! But it's a new week.
I've new frame of mind so lets get this done !!!

Have any of you heard of mixing an angel food cake mix with a regular cake mix in a bad and using 2 tbs and water putting it in a cup and microwaving it for one minute??? they said it was 3 SP tonight at the meeting. I LOVE CAKE And it would be portion controlled that way. I went and bought five mixes of angel food and regular kinds. Can't wait to try it.

Hello to all.

Berta, that recipe has been around for a while, it is called Weight Watchers 3-2-1 Microwave Mug Cake. An individual cake is 80 calories, 3 Smart Points, 2 Points Plus. On the web, the recipes say to use 3 tablespoons of 3-2-1 mix and 2 tablespoons of water. The two cake mixes make 46 individual cakes. I haven't tried it yet, but I did try one that had regular cake mix only in it, no angel food, and it wasn't good, so after I made one mug cake, I pitched the rest of the mix. I hope you will let us know how the 3-2-1 cake tastes, I'd love to have a good 3 point mug cake recipe.

Bracelet,
I'm eating one as I type and it is WONDERFUL I used lemon cake mix and angel food and sliced strawberries on top with 2 tbs fat fee cool whip.

I'm thinking a white cake mix might be better with strawberries but this is mighty tasty. I cut it in half. as it is was the shape of the cup
Everyones taste is different but this has mine well satisfied

I purchased the lemon, carrot cake, spice cake, strawberry, chocolate and cherry chip ! And the Angel food to go with each. I spent $25.00
But I plan on mixing them up, labeling the bag and storing them in fridge or freezer for my dessert when wanted.

My weakness is pasta, but since I started dieting, I have learned that it usually only takes 1/2 serving of pasta or rice to satisfy. I also learned that you can do a lot to change up beefless veggie soup (zero smart points, of course) so that it doesn't feel like you are eating the same old soup over and over again. I don't like a massive amount of liquid in the soup, so I use an 8 oz can of tomato sauce, a can of water, a 16 oz can of tomatoes and seasonings to taste. I plan to keep a big bowl in the fridge at all times.

Today I cooked up some rice and froze it by 1/4th cups in tiny baggies. I keep a small saucepan with a lid handy because I cook pasta and tortellini one serving at a time. Since there is so little water to boil, it doesn't take long to cook.

For lunch today I cooked a cup of cheese tortellini in water, then drained and added it to a heated-up bowl of the soup. It was wonderful and only 6 points. If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have used 1/2 cup of tortellini instead of a cup, for 3 points.

Here are some other additions to the soup that I plan to use often -- 1 oz. whole grain spaghetti for a meal with only 2 points, or 3/4 cup of No Yolks extra broad noodles - for a 3 point meal, or 1/2 cup cooked brown rice for 3 points.

What do you usually add to your vegetable soup to make it more appealing?

Am definitely going to try the 3-2-1 cake.

I am so excited, lost 4 pounds in 4 days. I know you usually lose more in the first week, but since I am eating the foods I love with no starvation, it feels like I'm not on a diet at all, but still losing weight. For me, that's a miracle. We eat out on Sundays, fingers crossed.

I tried the 3-2-1 cake this morning, sliced a peach on top, it was very good. Next time I'll cut the peach in chunks and add to the mix before nuking.

We are eating out Sunday after church too. Going to the Lake Restaurant. I usually get the chicken livers and salad. The SP are about 14 but we don't eat breakfast or supper on Sunday evening so it should be okay.

I have had all blue dot days so far this week. One night I had 8 SP left. Looked at my blue dot journey and it wasn't marked blue dot. SO I added some more food to make the 30 daily SP and it came up blue dot. I didn't eat the food, I wasn't hungry and it was late. That seems strange to me I had tracked I just hadn't eaten all 30 SP So I guess unless you eat all the daily points it doesn't count as tracking.

The 1-2-3 cakes are addictive. I've had one every day since I found out about them. BUT I've had the points

I had cherry chip last night. The spice is my favorite so far.

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE LOSS
. That's truly a VICTORY

I make veggie soup with FF beef broth, canned diced tomato with Basil & garlic, carrots, green beans, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower & celery, tomato sauce, Thyme, garlic powder, rosemary, salt & pepper Bay leaf,(remove before eating) and just a tad sweetener. IT IS AWESOME. ZERO SP.

I just measure & taste as I go. Sometimes I will add sirloin or lean hamburger. But its good without it.

I don't know whether I am having blue or red dot days because I am not using the calculator to track. I printed out a sheet for the week with 30 circles for each day and 35 circles at the side for my weekly points. When I use, for example, 5 points, I put a dot in 5 of the circles for that day. If I need to use a couple of extra points that day, I put a dot in a couple of the weekly point circles. For me that is easier than punching things into the calculator, and I can see at a glance how many points I have used and how many are left. I guess the days I use a couple of weekly points are probably red dot days. I have no idea how they figure red dots.

Berta! I missed you. Glad to see you back. Bracelet too. Congrats on your loss. You're doing great.

Love the veggie soup ideas. I like to also do a chicken broth and add the WW skinny pasta noodles.

The blue dots are a range of 27 to 37 points if your daily points allowance is 30.

I'm focusing on protein this week and having plenty to help keep myself more satisfied between meals.

Have a great weekend friends

I like to put Michelina's Beef and Peppers (8 SP) in a big bowl of hot soup so I can have beef and rice in my soup again. Instead of the soup, I sometimes add lots of cooked broccoli and some soy sauce to the beef and peppers, which is also very good. I like their Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and Broccoli (7 SP) and their Tortellini Alfredo (7 SP). I also add lots of cooked veggies and soy sauce to these. Wish I knew of some other things to do with these three dinners for more variety. Hard to believe they are only a buck each.

On Sundays we go to church with our son, granddaughter and my sister. We take turns choosing where we will eat after services. Tomorrow it is DH's choice. He took pity on me and is choosing a Mom and Pop's restaurant that has a salad bar with fruit. I will be smuggling in a small container of salsa to use as salad dressing. Good luck to all of us this weekend.
