One of my colleagues just said- you look so thin today
I'll take it!!!!!!!

(The flip side is that if 4 pounds lost makes such a noticeable difference, I have to assume that 4 pounds gained makes just as much as a difference. The joys of being very short...)

Carly I think you always probably look thin -- but a 4 lb drop made you look extra thin to the coworker.

Anyway, yay!!

4 lbs is a lot on a tiny woman like you. Love the colleague.

pOrtia love your NSVs!! and Yay Carly!!!! 4p.- just wow.

I went shopping in my closet today, digging out the crates of clothes I couldn't part with. I could get in to at least half!! I can't even remember the last time I wore some of those items I also have a pile of "almost" clothes (maybe 10 more pounds?) and then the "goal" clothes. woohoo!!

Today I had a meeting with a coworker and she started it off by saying "first of all, you look really great- whatever you are doing is working. " she went on to say that I inspired her that when she was reaching for a high calorie snack the other day she stopped herself and said "no, I want to look as good as Christina and she is a success story!" - she and I have talked before about dieting and exercise so she knows I've been working hard at it. That felt really good!!

Another one of my off-beat NSVs. I realized today that there is room around the driver's seat in my car to stow my purse even when there is someone sitting in the passenger seat!

I went to the local Chinese buffet this past Thursday. I havent had Chinese food in close to 4 months. I was concerned that I might eat the WHOLE buffet. Instead I got one (non-piled) plate from the buffet and a small plate of sushi to share with my daughter. I didnt buffet surf, never even finished the first plate. I didnt feel denied. I truly ate all I wanted and I just didnt want much. Same thing happened today at Waffle House, I left food on my plate. I wasnt stuffed just had no desire to pack it in. I guess that means Im starting to have some control!
Does this count as a NSV?

WTG farmwife!

(BTW I think sushi is such a great option in these situations -- even if you have a TON (like 16 pieces), it still isn't a caloric disaster on UDs, and it is hard to binge on. Noodles on the other hand? My downfall).

NSV today - though i'm not sure i'm that happy with it - earlier this year I bought a gorgeous Patagonia walking skirt to wear come September. Thought I would make a start on sorting out things for my rucksack and tried on the skirt. It's pretty much too big and not really the kind of skirt you can use a belt with. Yay i've shrunk but my lovely skirt won't fit

On a happier note I also bought a lightweight casual dress to take with me and that fits perfectly - it was a bit tight when I bought it (same time as skirt)

Mixed blessings No chance you still have the receipt for the Patagonia so it can be returned?

No chance at all, once a purchase/receipt has cleared the bank and been checked off it's shredded I'm considering sewing some elastic onto the inside of the waistband...

Yes- a mixed blessing, but sounds like some elastic might do the trick.

Hum, but on another note... walking in a skirt doesn't seem as comfy as walking in capri leggings/ yoga pants/ capris or some sort of exercise pants. However, you are an experienced walker, so if skirts work for you- yay!

Yay! today I just crept into the normal BMI range. Feel like dancing around the house singing "look at me i'm normal"

Also I measured my waist and it's shrunk by 2 inches since July. Very happy with that!
