I am loving this. Tonight I did 3 cups slaw mix, 1T diced jalapenos, a quarter of a zucchini cut up small, 1t minced garlic, a little bit of chicken broth just to wet it good, some jalapeno juice, 1 oz leftover turkey and 1 queso fresco light laughing cow. This was excellent. The first time I used light swiss and crab and soy sauce and that one was awesome to. This is my staple DD meal think.

I am loving it too. Its a dish u change up spices and protein and not get bored. I made it today for my ud. I used shrimp and sugar free teryaki sauce.

Recipe I wanted to run by you to see if it was possible (or done before)

1 flat out wrap, a couple cups of wilted cabbage with whatever spices, and some laughing cow cheese.

-crisp up the wrap, spread on cheese and bake a little longer, cover with wilted cabbage.

my problem is that I've never used spreadable cheese so I don't know all it's uses

You usually find flatouts by the deli section. I crisped one up the other night to replace bread rolls and thought they would make a great crust for thin pizza.

Trader Joes sells big bags of arugula--I think the whole bag is something like 60 cals. I sometimes sub that for the cabbage--it is pretty yummy stirfried, and adds a nice bite.

Additionally, sometimes I add a bag of rinsed and snipped shiritake noodles to the whole thing--tastes really good with the blue cheese/hot wing sauce version.

Not worth doing. I used 4 of the Laughing Cow Garlic & Herb, but the spaghetti squash overpowered the cheese -- I didn't use chicken but I doubt if it would have helped any. So, this isn't something I'll do again, but the coleslaw with cheese and chicken is on my list for future use!

I love cabbage.

Just had this:

Bag of coleslaw mix fried with nonstick spray and onion & garlic powder (too lazy to chop them fresh), ginger (the squeeze kind), salt and pepper, fresh mushrooms, 2 egg whites, 5 T. soy sauce, and shrimp. Wedge of LC cheese melted in.

This is something like the fried rice recipe my family loves, but without the rice. I also don't use cheese when I make the original recipe, and I use about 4 whole eggs. But doing it this way, I think the whole skillet would be around 250 calories.

This is very filling. Definitely doesn't seem like DD food, does it?

I am in love with laughing cow tomato basil mozzarella at the moment and I could just KISS whoever came up with this idea of using it as a sauce for veggies and meats.. it saved me today when I was starving and is awesome with shirataki noodles.. almost like mac and cheese or a really yummy italian vodka sauce.. I cant wait to try it with cabbage and some chicken mixed in!

Just had a fab dd dinner inspired by this thread!
Dry fried a bag of shirataki noodles in a large frying pan.
Added 1/2 a bag of frozen cabbage, some chicken stock, salt, pepper, garlic hot sauce and a medium slice of chopped up corned beef.
Put a lid on and left it to cook for half an hour. Added a laughing cow extra light cheese triangle and mixed till melted.
It was so tasty and satisfying. The corned beef kind of blended into the whole mixture, and it was really meaty and flavoursome!
Only 177 cals the lot!
Would definately have it on an UD, just with more meat, and grated cheddar!

I made this "fried rice" again last night with fried, seasoned tilapia and shrimp! It was amazing! I actually used rice in it though it adds up the calories, but you could skip the rice to save calories (or carbs if you're watching that.)

I coated 3 filets of tilapia, cut up in bite-size pieces, in seasoning (just grabbed one - I think it was Creole) and cooked it in a small skillet with a bit of coconut oil. Then I added the shrimp.

While that was cooking, in a large skillet, on medium/high, I stir fried the "coleslaw mix", green onion, mushrooms, some frozen peas, and seasonings (salt, pepper, ginger, a bit of cayenne, garlic, onion powder).

In a bowl, beat a couple eggs (I've used up to 5 eggs before). If you are saving calories, then just use the egg whites. Mix in 5 T. soy sauce.

In the skillet, stir in some pre-cooked, drained rice (you want to make the rice at least a little ahead of time so it can be drained in a collander and kind of "dry-ish" when you stir it in. Also you could easily skip the rice to save calories or carbs.

Pour the egg/soy sauce in the skillet and mix well. Add the seafood and mix and heat everything well. Adjust seasoning.

I have this every DD now, especially as it is so cold here! Only trouble is, it gives me tummy issues....so I say to myself that I will skip it next DD....but come next DD, at about 6pm, I find myself making it anyway....who'd have thought...cabbage addiction...lol!

just made my favorite version of this--coarsely chopped cabbage and cauliflower cooked in mushroom both, add diced jalapeno chicken sausage and 2 wedges Weight Watchers Parmesan Peppercorn cheese (like laughing cow)--melted and stirred together--just delicious and way tooooo filling at 260 calories for a huge panfull.

My variation today was absolutely delicious!

I used 3 cups cabbage, 1 tsp better than broth chicken base, 1/2 cup water, 1.5 oz shrimp, and 2 tbsp philly cooking cream italian cheese and herb. I got 144 cals, 15g carb, 10.6g protein, 15.5g fat.

I'm another one who has gone ga-ga over this combination for DDs. I love it!

I'm still pretty much just sticking to the shredded cabbage, finely diced white chicken, and a wedge of the lower calorie Laughing Cow cheese.. the creamy Swiss right not.

This is so filling that you are completely satisfied and don't even feel you can eat 500 calories worth of this. It makes so much! If I don't fast until supper, I break this into about 4 meals and eat it four different times from about mid-day on.

Haven't tried any of the other various combinations, so when I tire of the basic recipe, I'll start trying some of the variations posted here. Love this thread.
