Wow... Wow is all I can say. I saw this yesterday and since I had some coleslaw mix in the fridge that was about to go bad I thought I would try it on my up day, not expecting much since I don't even love cabbage but hating to waste food. I put a whole bag of coleslaw mix (with carrots) 3 laughing cow light swiss flavored a can of tuna a couple tbsp of sour cream and some creamy tandory mix and it was delicious! I even got my 4 year old to eat it by telling him it was tuna casserole (bad mommy ). I really didn't have high expectations but I have to brag on whoever came up with this. Now to figure out how to make it on my DD.

It IS tuna casserole, just a variation and just think of how well you are feeding your 4 year old, a great start, mom!!!!!!!

I know this isn't the right place but...

Just a quick question...

I usually try LC and it doesn't seem to be working as well this time I was thinking about trying JUDDD. Does it work well with the weightloss? I know I cannot eat white flour or white sugar on UP because I have no control once I get them back in my system but it would open up more whole wheat and fruits.

To get back on topic...these recipes sound awesome and I am going to give it a try

Regina, check out all the info on July Newbies Post Here thread, and read up, so much good info to get you started. Some do LC with JUDDD, at least at first and then gradually add healthy carbs and some grains. Ask questions on the July Newbies thread and someone will be along shortly with words of wisdom!! Best to you in your efforts, you are gonna LOVE this WOE!

Lots of great ideas! In response to question regarding why anyone would eat this stuff.....DD's can be difficult at best. Having something filling, with volume, tasty as well as low calorie is kind of like a miracle. When I'm truly hungry, like on a DD, this stuff rocks!

I've had this twice today. I was a little skeptical since I had tried the Crack Slaw on LC, and wasn't impressed. But this stuff was pretty good-2 cups of cole slaw mix, 1/2 can of Swanson chicken, and a tablespoon of 1/3 less fat Philly chive & onion cream cheese (didn't have any Laughing Cow). Will definitely be on my list of foods for DD.

Well my latest version was a seafood one.
I pre cook (pan fry and Sea food mix of crab,shrimp,scallops,squid) cook this in chicken broth and garlic with a few onions and butter.
then i add to the parboild cabbage slaw mix with cream cheese and nature seasoning.
My hubby thinks he died and went to heaven every time i make it lol

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but today I added just a touch of Better than Bouillon to the mix and what a change in taste...yummo! Of course, I took another liberty as well and made the mix with some of my bag of broccolli slaw....this recipe has been a lifesaver on down days....

I wasn't sure how I was going to like this. I'm not a big cabbage fan at all, but I thought I'd give it a try.

Well. When I went to the fridge, I didn't have cabbage. I had broccoli slaw (broccoli in ribbons, carrots, and red cabbage). So I used two cups of that (50), two wedges of LC (100), and 3 oz shrimp (80).

It is surprisingly delicious!

Yes, that's how some people do it. Personally I start with a bit of broth and steam the slaw then add the rest.
Having said that, I don't have the good results others do. I like it fine but it wrecks havoc on my system after I eat it. Like a hypoglycemic reaction which makes no sense at all but it happens about an hour after each time I eat it. Get all shaky and weak and have to lay down to recover.
It is weird.

It is really strange since 1) there aren't really carbs in this to give me a hypoglycemic reaction, 2) I eat the ingredients separate with no problems all the time (ok, I don't eat a ton of cabbage but I do eat it), 3) I don't tend to get those "hypoglycemic" reactions to very many things as a general rule and 4) as far as I know, no one else has ever had this particular reaction to this concoction.
Its very strange, I like it but I can't handle the aftermath.
