I'm not a big fan of sweet drinks, but the Crystal Light peach bellini is really light and refreshing

I don't have the calorie count on this, but it would vary anyway based on what you use and/or how much. I can't remember where I got this, but it's delish. It calls for blueberries, although you can use the fruit of your choice.

Blueberry "Cobbler"

Handful of blueberries
Handful of oats
1/2 c. cottage cheese
Sweetener to taste

I use frozen blueberries and nuke them for 20 seconds or so, then smush them up a little. Throw in the oats (old-fashioned or quick), cottage cheese, and the sweeteners. Mix it all up, nuke it for 20 seconds to a minute (I like it warm) and eat.

I add a Splenda and Truvia packet, and a couple squirts of sf DaVinci Blueberry syrup. Very adaptable - add more oatmeal, less cottage cheese, different fruit, etc.

It really does taste like a cobbler!

Walmart and walgreens carry them and Kroger too, I think. I don't think I've seen them anywhere else.

Check with the ramen type soups - they're little microwave "cups" like you see mac and cheese and soups in

Looking for the picture, I see they also have a box of pouches that you add boiling water to your own bowl with - those look even more convenient!

Xanthan gum is a great low carb, gluten free thickener but I never use a whole bottle/bag before it clumps up.
I found at wal-mart small (.32oz) packets, about the same size as packets of instant yeast, of Hodgson Mill xanthan gum for $0.48 a packet!
It's a bright red packet in with spices and has about 8 .5tsp servings per packet.

OMG I'm so surprised to hear yours clumps up, Dottie. I've had mine for probably 2 years, it's in a canister with holes in the lid even, and it stays in powdery form always. Maybe it's that coastal humidity (which I sure don't miss since leaving the Galveston/TxCity area)? What about transferring it to a screw-lidded jar? That might be more air-tight.

I have two new DD staples: beef broth with a good splash of apple cider vinegar and Tabasco and Healthy Choice Honey Balsamic Chicken (210 calories and fabulous!). I even eat the Honey Balsamic Chicken for lunch on UDs - it's that good!

I find myself often eating things on an UD that I had on a DD, though I might make them a little more decadent. Once I made it so decadent, I made myself sick, so I try to be a bit more reasonable these days.

Sometimes my DD foods are so good, I wonder how I managed to fit all that into 500 calories.

One of the best things I have tried is I measure 70 grams of frozen sliced strawberries (25 Cal) in the bottom of a large cup. Then I put 8 oz of chocolate unsweetened almond milk (45) in the blender along with 2 T. of cottage cheese (25), a pack of Yoohoo chocolate powder (5) and about 1/2 pack of decaf via. Sweeten to taste with liquid sweetener (0) and three drops of peppermint extract (0). Add 1 C. of ice, blend really well, and pour over the strawberries. That's 100 calories, and I have it every night before I go to bed. Sometimes it's almost too much for me to finish.

If I have a few calories left over I'll pour a couple of tablespoons of the dark chocolate sauce that's like 15 calories for 2 T. Sorry I can't remember who entered the recipe, but it's basically water, cocoa, sweetener, cooked up and refrigerated. It's really good!

These may be an acquired taste but I *adore* them. I am new to JUDDD, just on my second DD, but these are a fave "go to" snack.

SeaSnax roasted seaweed. Each package contains a bunch of crispy sheets of seaweed roasted with olive oil and sea salt. There are a couple flavors so that in addition to the basic ingredients above there are some that contain: ground chipotle, onion, wasabi. Each package, depending on the flavor, is 14-16 calories. Their package calls them "strangely addicting" and they are to me.

I'm a major fusspot about ingredients and was so pleased to find these with olive oil, as all the other roasted seaweeds I saw used canola oil which is another of those things I don't touch.

I'm a newbie to JUDDD, as I said, and this is just my second DD. But I had one of these today and two on my first DD.

I don't really care for those myself, but I see them at Trader Joe's too...in case someone else shares your addiction.

Red Lobster!

Just had dinner there last night. I had a few nibbles of my salad, no dressing, 1 lb of crab legs (I used 1/2 serving of cocktail sauce instead of butter), and broccoli for 298 calories and it couldn't have been too many carbs!

Those seaweed snacks are just seasoned sushi nori. If you like sushi rolls, you may like it.

There are a number of brands and I have packs that are 30 cal, probably more oil....or an error. I got them closeout.
